About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Joe80060 contributionsOverpriced Cheap Experience with Fake Promotional SCAMWe booked this Cusco-Sacred Valley Machu Picchu 4-Star Luxury Experience 2-day tour from this agency on GetYourGuide. The tour is branded as “Luxury Experience”, with a price of ~USD 615 per person, but in fact it’s far from luxury. The tour is overpriced by at least 40%, after we compared what our friends bought from other travel agencies in Cusco. Food: the lunch of the one-day tour to the Sacred Valley was bland and terrible. There were 14 people on our tour but grouped into two different restaurants for lunch. The lunch our group had was just simple cold vegetables and fruits, no meat and no drinks at all, and we had to pay extra dollars even just for water. However the other group was very happy with their lunch and claimed it “very good food”. Transportation: the round trip train to Machu Picchu from Ollantaytambo was the lowest class of IncaTrain company, but compared with the same class of PeruTrain, it was still in a poorer condition without a cambered glass roof for a better view. Hotel: the room in Aguas Calientes was supposed to be a 4-star hotel but actually the hotel was only a boutique on Google map without any official “H” logo certifications like other 4 star hotels. On Agoda, you can book a room for only 71 USD for one night. For example, the only elevator of this hotel can only carry a maximum of 5 people. Tour: the Sacred Valley tour on the first day is only one morning plus half afternoon but the guild arranged one stop in a local boutique market and another stop in a silver workshop, those two commercial shops took at least 2 hours before we arrived at Pisac and Ollantaytambo, leaving only 40 minutes for each spot, with that, we didn’t have the time to fully visit those two places. The tour itself is with a large group of people, no difference from any other basic group tours. The MachuPicchu tour was a private one which we had high expectations of but it failed with our guide being late for 15 mins on the tour day morning. On the way to and in MachuPicchu, the guide didn’t introduce any history or background of this site until we required him to. In summary, the travel agency raised the price by including the entrance ticket to the Sacred Valley and a lunch on Day 2, but booked everything else with lowest quality and price. Don’t trust the misleading marketing on GetYourGuide. Go to the town to bargain a good price for a tour and book your own train and hotel. Find out the tour details to avoid wasting your time in commercial sites. Last note: avoid this agency and save your moneyWritten 7 December 2024
- williamw1440 contributionsExcellent Experience Highly RecommendThis is the only experience you will need (minus the additional sacred valley tour which they do offer on a 6 day tour) The only hiccup that occurred was that we booked a month before we arrived and the machu picchu online tickets were sold out (our fault). HOWEVER Karina was extremely helpful and assured and directed us so well we were able to get 3rd circuit and huayna picchu tickets which I would say was a steal considering only 400 people got to that circuit/day. Also they arranged a tour guide in MP so it was just me and my girlfriend and not a large group which made it much more personal. All the other tours were with groups of 10/12 but the guides were so knowledgeable and passionate about the info they were sharing ....they were really well picked. We had a few extra days in Cusco and because of the Machu Picchu situation we spoke to Karina about the order in which we wanted to do activities which was a major plus. She was so accommodating. 10/10/10 experience with regards to paying for full package and letting the experts do their thing.Written 4 November 2024
- Teej_Traveler0 contributionsNo Need For a Private Tour to Rainbow MountainVisiting the Rainbow Mountain is really just a hike, and neither the hike nor the long drive are the type of outing that benefits from a private tour. You are likely better off booking a group one. Additionally, while both our driver and guide were friendly, their English was very limited, meaning that there really wasn't much insight provided. The drive to Rainbow Mountain does not feel safe. You are high up on unpaved/barely paved roads, clinging to sides of mountains for much of it. Moreover, I don't think our driver was driving on these roads or taking these turns at a safe speed. At one point, we tried to pass a tour bus on one of these narrow, unpaved roads, to which I had to very firmly ask that he not, and just let the tour bus (which was going at an acceptable speed given the safety of the road) be. While he initially backed off, he then sped past the tour bus anyway. I don't think he or the guide understood enough English to grasp what I was asking, as the guide thought I was complaining about altitude headaches. Re the hike itself, while my partner was fine, the high elevation (higher than Cusco) really affected me, making even slight inclines of the hike very strenuous. The scenery is beautiful, even if most of the online pictures are edited/saturated. Just make sure to wear layers. It's especially cold on the final ascent. Also, the restaurant after the hike is a somewhat rundown small town in the middle of nowhere, and it's just a buffet that other larger tour groups will also be at. I would have expected an actual sit-down place given that it was a private tour.Written 11 September 2024
- Brianna C0 contributionsAmazing Experience!!I didn’t have to worry about a thing! This company was amazing to work with! Thank you Yoseth for answering all of my questions, even at 4am! Every night they would send the itinerary for the following day. The night before Machu Picchu, they sent the bus, train, and entrance tickets to me. Everything was included, including the entrance fee at Humantay Lake and a private guide at Machu Picchu. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone visiting Cusco! Thanks so much for making my experience in Cusco a great one!Written 6 September 2024
- Timothy R0 contributionsThe adventurous way to see Rainbow Mt.Overall if you have an inkling of wanting to see Rainbow Mt. (Montana Vinikunka) and ride ATVs this one is for you. Don’t be afraid, the crew gave us helmets, the “basics” and some “practice time”. After that the views, vistas, and awesome surroundings grab you hard! From alpacas grazing on the slopes to the snow capped Andes, and finally the extremely unique colors of the “Rainbow” Mt. We climbed up to the top of the adjoining Mt. To take awe inspiring photos of the rare surroundings. Riding the ATVs was the frosting on the day. While the best laid plans can sometimes go awry, Dino and his crew saved the day and gave us an unforgettable experience.Written 12 April 2024
- 331inkenk0 contributionsWonderful experienceThe destination is wonderfull. Not so crowded and very peaceful. The hight is challenging. Would have helped if the guide did not leave the oxigen in the car which was promised to be available during the tour. We went up ot 5000 m. But fortunately we had no real need of oxigen. I very much liked the size of our group. We were just 5 people that day with our guide plus our driver.Written 11 April 2024

- Alexandra B0 contributionsYesica is the best!We had a wonderful hike up to Lake Humantay. Yesica and our driver were fantastic! We started very early at 3:30 AM, but it was worth it. We were the first to arrive at the lake, breakfast, and lunch. Yesica was extremely attentive and professional. She made sure we stopped to catch our breath when needed and guided us through the entire hike. As a bonus, she was an amazing photographer as well! Thank you Yesica, you captured memories for a lifetime! We highly recommend them for your tour of Lake Humantay.Written 14 March 2024
- Scott S0 contributionsIncredible views at mountaintop Inca SanctuaryExcellent shorter hike to an active archeological site a little less visited. We did this hike a couple days after Huana Picchu and my wife and I disagree as to which was harder. Regardless the hike was still little on the difficult side after only 5 days at altitude but definitely doable. My 11-year old loved it despite the early rise. Beto, our guide was fun and very informative. As well as learning about the site we were taught about native plants and their medicinal purposes. The views along the hike and at Waqrapukara itself were some of the most incredible I’ve seen.Written 19 February 2024

We had a great trip with Richard! He patiently waited with us for the clouds to clear and for us to get a good view of Machu Picchu, for over an hour. In that time he had lots of entertaining facts to keeps us occupied. Would highly recommend.
