Although we sadly did not do a tour with Cusco Punku we had the great pleasure of meeting Franz Guerra (manager) and his family. In all my travels I have never met such helpful, sincere and genuinely caring people. They helped us sort out an aborted trek and make alternative arrangements and fun activities at really short notice. Whatever the time of day Franz was available to help. He saved our holiday and ensured we got to Machu Picchu. He was a total gem!

My family and I felt very pleased with the tour offered by Cusco Punku. The service was personalized and they cared for our needs (especially the needs of our 4 children.) They were also very flexible and understand how hard it was going to Machu Picchu with small children. They ensured us we would have a great experience and that's what was given to us. Even our toddlers had a blast. When we return to Cusco, we would definitely do it again with them.

Just spent a magnificent two weeks visiting Peru for our 20th anniversary. Franz and the team at Cusco Punku went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience. We visited Puerto Maldonado, Cusco, Ollyataytambo, Inka Trail to Machu Picchu (4 days), and Punu. Every hotel, tour guide, restaurant, etc. set up by the team at Cusco Punku was fantastic. They provided us with opportunities to get to know many wonderful people throughout the country and made sure we were able to meet all covid requirements to come back to the US. I highly recommend this team to anyone looking to visit Peru. In comparing prices with this company vs. US based companies for the same itinerary, we saved $3-4k. They were prompt to respond and did a wonderful job.

We were well taken care of with local guides that were knowledgeable. Cusco Punto helped our group receive the necessary Covid testing. Our accommodations ere very comfortable. We loved becoming more knowledgeable about the Inka culture.

I can not recommend this group enough. They were so accommodating to what our group wanted! Franz (our tour guide) handled every change and crazy family member with joy and continued to care about our experience up until we parted. He cared about what we learned and just wanted us to enjoy our time and do what we wanted while suggesting what we might miss or enjoy. Franz (along with his beautiful family!) made our large group of artists have the best time imaginable! We were mainly all from the US. I had the privilege of working closely with Franz from inception throughout completion of this dynamic trip. Franz taught & shared with me personally & helped coach me as I worked with all the artists. His vast knowledge & experience, along with his amazing computer skills & great intellect, complemented his honesty, kindness & integrity- truly he is a remarkable gentleman, and anyone who goes to Peru with the goal of exploring the sacred valley should trust themselves in his able hands. Every single person I brought down there had nothing but the best words for the whole trip- & ESPECIALLY for FRANZ! My only regret is that I was inundated with crazy work situations since I got back & have not been able to post this recommendation, until now. Cusco Punku made our first visit to Peru worry free. They made all the arrangements for hotel, travel, and food with attention to every detail. They customized our trip to fit our family needs and surpassed my expectations. It was an unforgettable experience. Initially I was a little worried about foreign travel, but Cusco Punku arranged every aspect of our trip with precision and I never had need to worry for our safety or health. We always had a driver and tour guide with us, helping us learn and more fully appreciate the experience. We were amazed at how beautiful and diverse LIma and Cusco areas are... full of rich scenery and culture and wonderful people. Our tour was a nice mixture of seeing the famous archeological sites and cathedrals and also the small town everyday culture of the native people. We had time to tour and time to explore on our own. A nice way to enjoy the trip as a family. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and above our expectations. The food was amazing, even my teenagers loved it. I would highly recommend using Cusco Punku for anyone traveling to Peru- it will be the best decision you make!! It was for our family.

We were referred to Cusco Punku by many others who had used this company. From the very beginning, they were extremely helpful. All emails were answered promptly, instructions for international payment was easy to follow and all parts of our trip were planned for us. They were so great at working within our budget and kept working with us until we had everything arranged. Our tours were the best and the guides were attentive to our needs and kind. When we needed to change hotel plans on our trip, they took care of everything and made the arrangements. We were in the areas of Lima, Cusco, and Trujillo and spent about two weeks there in Perú. If I ever go back, this is the company I’ll use and I wouldn’t hesitate to refer them.

We went to Peru with our son, who had served an LDS mission in Lima. Our group included two couples and one 21 year old. Cusco Punko had been recommended by a friend, so we used them for our trip from Lima to Cusco, letting them take care of all the details. The trip was fabulous. I cannot praise Cusco Punku enough for providing great touring services to our group! They were very helpful in facilitating all activities, and I feel that I got a great taste of Cusco and Machu Picchu when I traveled with them. We got to explore Saqsaywaman, the textile museum, Moray, the Salineras Salt Mines, OllantaTambo, Ollantaytambo Pueblo, Aguas Calientes, and Machu Picchu all in one quick but fun weekend. At several places, we were able to pet some alpacas/llamas brought by some of the Quechua people for a small price, and there were authentic tourist items for sale, such as alpaca textiles, nearly everywhere we went.

Cusco Punku just arranged a tour of Peru for our group of five adults and tailored our itinerary to include what we wanted to see with additional suggestions from them. We spent a day in Lima, several days in Cusco, Ollantaytambo to see Machu Picchu, and Puno/Lake Titicaca. Franz was with us most of the time. He started out as a history teacher and could answer all our questions about everything, he’s very kind and patient, has excellent English, and has a very calm demeanor. Our driver was also excellent, which is saying a lot in Peru. Cusco Punku is a family business and took care of all the many details—they maximized our trip like we could have never done on our own. This was an excellent tour! Franz began by asking what we wanted to see specifically then gave suggestions on what he thought we would enjoy. He tailored the tour to our group. We really wanted to see llamas and he took us to a farm with llamas and alpacas. He was really knowledgeable about the local culture, history, and all the sights we visited. I felt like we really got our money’s worth. Our tour included 2 days of sightseeing, rides for both days, and lunch for about $45 (US dollars) per person. I would definitely recommend Cusco Punko to anyone wanting to experience Peru!

We booked a trip with Cusco Punku last summer. We don't speak Spanish and were a little nervous. The trip was wonderful. Stephanie and Franz had every step planned for us from pick up from the airport and train stations and bus stations to tickets to all the venues we wanted to see. We told them what we wanted to see and they were able to work out a fabulous itinerary. We chose 3 star hotels and they were all great. Trip of a lifetime.
