Our journey begins at 8:00 AM in Cusco, heading toward Limatambo. Along the way, we’ll visit two fascinating Inca archaeological sites: Quillarumiyoc and Tarawasi, both believed to have been used as astronomical observatories. After exploring these remarkable sites, we’ll continue to Limatambo for a well-deserved lunch. The adventure continues with breathtaking views of the Chonta community (3,400 masl / 11,155 ft.) and the surrounding Andean peaks. From here, we embark on a scenic 1.5-hour hike along the edge of the Apurímac Canyon, arriving at the Huaco viewpoint (3,350 masl / 10,990 ft.). This spectacular vantage point offers a prime opportunity to observe the majestic Andean condor, the world’s largest flying bird and a sacred symbol of the Incas. With some luck, we may also spot eagles, hawks, and white-tailed deer. After soaking in this unforgettable experience, we’ll begin our return to Cusco, arriving between 7:30 and 8:00 PM, depending on the pace of the group.

          Best trip ever!
Our guide Freddie took such good care of us — we felt safe the whole trek and he became an extension of our family. The chefs, driver Joel, horsemen and porters were the best, happily changing the plan to accomodate our needs and the weather. 10/10!!!!!

          Great trip
We had an amazing experience on the Full-Day Rainbow Mountain/Vinicunca Trek with this company! Once again, Lisseth was very helpful and ensured everything was well-organized from the start. The day began with a great buffet breakfast before heading to the starting point of the hike. Our guide, Fredy, was one of the friendliest guides we’ve had! Rainbow Mountain itself was stunning, thanks to the early start, we arrived before the crowds. Since it was just the two of us, we also had the chance to visit the Red Valley, which ended up being even more breathtaking. On the way back, we had a buffet lunch at the same place as breakfast before returning to our accommodation in the afternoon. Everything was well-planned, and the whole experience was smooth and stress-free.

Great guides, delicious food and a seamless Inca Trail experience
I had the most incredible experience on the 4-day Inca Trail! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. A big thanks to Lisseth, who made the booking process effortless, was incredibly helpful, and was always quick to answer any questions, ensuring everything was perfectly arranged before our adventure even began. Our main guide, Paul, was not only very knowledgeable but also kept us entertained with his humour, making the trek even more fun. His co-guide, Bruce, had a much calmer energy, which balanced things out perfectly. They made a great team, ensuring we were well taken care of at all times. A special thank you to Bruce for accompanying us to Huayna Picchu—it was truly unforgettable! The food on the trek was absolutely delicious—big kudos to Chef Sabino and his team for preparing such amazing meals. Every meal was a treat, which made the journey even more enjoyable. Of course, we couldn’t have done it without the incredible porters, who worked tirelessly to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, this was an epic adventure, and I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to do the Inca Trail. Thank you to the entire team for making this such a great experience!

          Magical Trek to Machu Pichu
I opted for the Two Day Inca Trail Trip to Machu Pichu just out of curiosity about the depth of Inca history but I was rewarded with much more than that. And I must say that the trip was a dream come true due to two things and those were the sincerity of the tour operator Inkayni Peru Tours and their absolute brilliant guide Mr Ronald Ccana Soralero. The trip commenced from Cusco early morning by road in order to catch the 6 AM train from Ollantaytambo. We got down at KM 104 which is a nondescript halt enroute to the base of Machu Pichu where the train finally reaches. We stated our journey from KM 104 which has a hanging Bridge to cross the River Urubamba. The significance of this crossing was huge because it was one of the principal tributary of Amazon. The climb was indeed steep at times but the views it offered were priceless. The Incas truly knew their work of laying down a lasting trail. There were halt places and in addition the Tourism Department had made well maintained rest places along the route. The path gave us beautiful views of the River Valley and as we climbed higher and higher, the views became more spectacular. The best pleasant surprise came when an early Inca settlement, Winaywayna emerged in front. We would soon reach it and taken in by its spread and details. There is also a place for taking the lunch which though given by the tour operator but had to be carried on person. They made a perfect lunch with adequate energy supplements. Around 3 PM we got to see the grand Machu Pichu from the famous Sun Gate and we felt humbled by the fact that this was where the Inca kings too saw Machu Pichu on their walks. Soon we would descend into Machu Pichu and the feel it was immersive. The evening was spent at a hotel down at Aguas Calientes arranged by the tour company. The second day involved going to the main areas of Machu Pichu where our guide Ronald narrated the historic relevance with absolute confidence and conviction. He seemed to know every nook and corner of the monument with minute details and he surely made it worth the trip. Finally we returned by train back to Ollantaytambo and by road back to the hotel. The whole trip was memorable because of our wonderful guide Ronald and the tour operator Inkayni. Thanks to you both. Ronald was a mess also a motivator for us to complete the memorable trek. I would also recommend others to take this trip after spending two days in Cusco and after seeing the smaller monuments in the Sacred Valley. This will enable you to acclimatise and also appreciate the smaller monuments for their worth. Lastly, travel light and do carry just the basic overnight change or the weight could punish your back as it is a long trek involving great heights. But my wife and I who are in our sixties could make it and so you too can

          We had a fantastic time!
Just wow! Our family of four spend 4 days with Paul visiting Inca sites around Cusco, the Rainbow Mountain, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. We had a blast. Paul is fun, knowledgeable... such a great guide! We originally were supposed to do the 4-day Inca Trail trek... but had to change the plans due to an unforeseen health issue. The folks at Inkayni were very accommodating. I recommend this tour operator without hesitation. Looking forward to go back to complete the trek... and more!!!

          Machu Picchu with Inkayni
Have been in many places of the world and listen to many guides . Most of them are common but Wilbert was by far the most passionate, informed and with a credible answer for any question . He talked in such a way that was easy to follow and understand about the inca culture . Never in too many words and never something boring . And a great photografer too .

One of the best travel experiences ever! Best guide, Freddy and best chef, Herminios, and the rest of the local, professional Chasquis team were all so helpful and knowledgeable. Beautiful trek, wonderful food, lots of breaks to absorb the beauty, and learn more about this once in a lifetime destination and its rich history and culture.

If you go to Peru, do this Trek
Best part of my visit to Peru by far. Awesome people, both the guides and the chasquis were a blast to hike and eat with. I was with Freddy and Jonathan, they were great about making sure the pacing was flexible and comfortable, sharing info about the land and sites, and showing everyone a good time. The hike was spectacular as well.

Excellent 4 day Inca trail with Inkayni and Freddy!
A great locally owned tour company. Our guide, Freddy and his team went out of their way to make the trek a great experience. Freddy is an excellent guide, extremely knowledgeable in the history, culture and environment of the area. His team of Chasquis were great too, we couldn’t have made the trip without them. The cook, Herminios, made excellent dishes in the middle of nowhere. Inkayni was great we’ll definitely use them for future tours! Make sure to ask for Freddy and Herminios.

Jonathan and our expert driver made this a great experience. We learned about Inca culture and history from a very proud Peruvian! Two stops at historical sites and a beautiful day hike. Be mindful that the ride up the mountain is 17 km on a mostly dirt road with lots of bends and turns - grateful for expert driver. The hike is long and lots of ups and downs which can be challenging at this high altitude. Definitely need to be fit and can tolerate the thinner air. Scenery is spectacular!
