Great National Park hiking in Ecuador
Wilson A provide a great day of hiking in Cajas national park. He is passionate about the nature we experienced and has a wealth of knowledge to share about the park. Hike was a little challenging for me (66) glad I brought my hiking poles. Definitely recommend!

Andres picked me up at hotel in Cuenca to go to the Devils nose train. Professional knowledgeable and patient he was a very nice driver. I used a walker and he assisted this wonderfully. The ruins were not visited on the return trip as it was quite foggy. At no time was I concerned regarding his driving. I would recommend him highly.

          Pure awesomeness!
We had an excellent time on the trek through Cajas, loaded with beautiful views of the mountains and vast diversity of plant and animal life. What made the experience so great was our extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide Andres Leon!!! He put so much extra effort into teaching us about the history of the area and all of the really cool intricacies of the biodiversity and symbiotic characteristics of the plant life. One of the best hikes I’ve made , I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

          Great day trip from Cuenca
Andres was a great guide. He spent time in the US so his English was great, and he was very knowledgeable about everything from Inca history to flora and fauna. Hardly anyone was at Ingapirca or the 2 towns we visited - not sure if November is the low season but I’m not complaining. Felt like I had the whole place to myself! The drive itself is very lovely. Seeing the farmland and how each area specializes in different types of agriculture was really cool to see. The lunch restaurant was also very yummy - the locro de papa (potato soup) was my favorite and the view was incredible!

2 day trekking through Cajas with camping
We did the 2 day trekking through the Cajas national parc and we loved it. Andres is a enthusiastic guide that speaks English very well and has a lot of knowledge about the area and the local plants. Andres brought 2 friends that helped carrying the camping gear and that added to the experience. Right from the start it felt like a camping trip with a group of friends which was really nice. After walking through the beautiful scenery we set up our camp together and build a campfire. The night was a bit cold but that was quickly forgotten in the morning. The second day was wonderful with a lot of variation in the surroundings. For us it was one of the highlights of our trip in Ecuador.

Trekking in the Cajas with overnight camping
I had the chance to visit my favorite national park, the Cajas, on an overnight tour. My friend, my guide Andres and I selected a route that we could do with our strength and in our time and then we spent lots of hours hiking in different beautiful parts :) Andres has tents and sleeping bags for us, we prepared the campsite together, shared a meal, went to bed and half frozen (I am kidding, but it was cold indeed) woke up the next morning to hike some more. It was a beautiful experience in nature and it was so good to have somebody who not only knows the trails but also the plants and animals we came across. My favorite flower are the globitos. You should ask Andres about them, when you go. I loved the experience and I hope you will too.

Thanks to our guides we were able to make unforgettable memories in such short time. Their expertise and friendly manner took us to historical sites, delicious food tasting and art places that otherwise we will have not gone. They are the best, will return!

          Great expirience
We were 2 couples, wanted to get the most out of a 2 days in Cuenca. Andres, our guide, was exactly what we needed, so knowledgeable and enjoyable. His familiarity with all aspects of the area and beyond, made this visit so worthwhile and memorable.

          Excellent & Informative
After reading all the positive reviews, we decided to book a day tour to the Inca ruins with Deep Ecuador. Our guide Andre was exceptional in sharing so much knowledge not just about the ruins but also about his country (his English is excellent). The small group made it easy to get around. We stopped at several locations and thoroughly enjoyed the day! The lunch was fantastic and overall day was well worth the trip!

          Amazing Experience!
We visited Cuenca last summer and decided to opt for a 2 day tour: one to Cajas National Park and the other to Ingapirca-Chordeleg-Gualaceo. We HIGHLY recommended this tour to a friend and then later sent my mom and kids to experience this breathtaking tour. Andres Leon was our tour guide and not only was he knowledgeable of the entire city, he was great company as well. It’s a must if you visit Cuenca. We recommend it hands down!

          Fantastic Service and Incredible Experience!
I went to Cuenca, Ecuador on another solo adventure and booked a day trip to Cajas National Park with Deep Ecuador Travel. The two guides were extremely knowledgeable. When we arrived to Cajas they gave us the option to do a more physically intensive hike or a nice casual stroll. I LOVE that they gave us this option because I always choose the more strenuous physical option as I love hiking. Cajas is GORGEOUS and our guide, Andres Esteban Leon, was an expert on the wildlife and nature in the area. Plus we took the intense hiking route which was the best. Lunch, transportation and the excursion were all included in the price. Highly recommend!

          The best.
My girlfriend and i looked all over for a touristic operator that could fill our expectations (she is a little picky). They did an amazing job, not only keeping up with what we need but going beyond that. Definitely a MUST while visiting Cuenca.

This was a great tour of Las Cajas. There is so much to see in the park with breathtaking lakes, streams, and rivers. Camila and Bernicio were young, knowledgeable, full of energy, professional and tailored the tour to our needs. Our wish was for a healthy pace with only a few small patches of slightly technical trail. It was a perfect day and our guides did not disappoint. From the start of the adventure I felt as a friend rather than a customer.

        I recommend this tour.

Although weather was not on our side, we had the best possible experience I’d say. Our guide Alejandro as well as the woman driving were extremely friendly. Due to issues with our pick up Alejandro even jumped in as a guide and did the tour just with my friend and me despite his only day off. He was very knowledgeable, kind and we never felt like in a hurry. Would definitely recommend the tour — along with Alejandro !!!

We travelled with our 11 and 18 year old boys. This was our 6th day in Ecuador and after the exhausting full day tour in cold, rainy, windy Cotopaxi, we were very anxious that this would be another stressful tour. Of course the weather had so much to do with it but Jamie and the way the itinerary was designed allowed us to enjoy the 7 hour tour (including the drive from Cuenca). Jamie knew the history, geography, plants, animals, and birds and took time to answer all of our questions. They were on time, drove safely, and made good arrangements for vegetarian lunch for our family. The first hike was easy, the second one a little more strenous especially if you are new to higher altitudes. But the pace was very slow. So that really helped. Bring energy bars and water and clothes that keep you warm and dry. Thank you Jamie and Deep Ecuador!
