Stop At: Historic Quarter of the Seaport City of Valparaiso, Valparaiso Chile

This tour offers you a combination of the Discover Santiago Tour and a visit to a local wine vineyard. We start with the one-and-a-half hour drive to Santiago where we will first visit San Cristobal Hill. Here we will take a cable car to the summit and enjoy the most amazing panoramic views of the entire city and Andes Mountains. We will then drive through the bohemian neighborhood of Bellavista before arriving in the historic city center where we will see Florestal Park, the Museum of Fine Arts, Plaza de Armas (Santiago’s main square), the Cathedral, City Hall, Historic Post Office, Old Congress Building, Palacio La Moneda (The Government House), National Theater, Santiago Stock Exchange, and Santa Lucia Hill, where Pedro de Valdivia founded the city in 1541. Afterwards, we will visit Undurraga Wine Vineyard located in the Maipo Valley wine region. Since 1885, the Undurraga tradition has taken hold, producing outstanding wines from grapes nurtured by the earth and sun of this fertile valley. The Undurragas were early pioneers in Chilean winemaking, planting French varietals before the turn of the century and using wood barrels to age the wines and bring forward rich aromas and flavors. In 1903, they were first to export wines to the United States.

Exceptional experience with Carlos!
We had a great trip with Carlos. Concho y Toro winery was beautiful and the wine tour paired nicely with an afternoon of adventure on the Maipo River. The rafting guides were a blast. Overall, 10/10 experience.

Chocolates and Bubbly! Amazing, Relaxing, and a fun learning experience!
I could not have asked for a better tour to close out our vacation! To start our tour guides were very respectful, knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating! They were flexible with our schedule, picked us up later and then dropped us off directly at the airport. With respect to the chocolate factory and the sparkling wine locations selected by our tour guide we could not have asked for a better combination. The chocolate factory demonstration was so much fun, we got to make our own chocolate and taste so many different types of different chocolates produced by the factory. The sparkling winery was beautiful and very informative. I did not realize how complex sparkling wine is to make. By the way, the tasting was so relaxing and refreshing! Prior to dropping us off at the airport, we had lunch in small village which I believed was called Promeida and it was by far the best food we had in our time in Chile! Can’t thank the tour team enough for how welcomed they made us feel throughout our time on the Tour!

A little nature, a little wine, and a whole lot of cuteness!
Our day trip from Santiago started with a stop at an alpaca farm about 1 hour north of the city. We were treated by Maria, the owner, to a comprehensive tour of her facility—complete with quality alpaca time. Just TRY to not melt in the face of the cutest, big-eyed, sweetest animals. Ever. We continued to San Esteban for a hike up to see the historic petroglyphs. And after working up a good thirst, we went to the winery down the hill. Angelina was amazing! Part tour guide, part entertainer—all genuine passion for winemaking and her country. We finished the day with a trip to a local restaurant for “parrilla”—a mixed grill of meats and potatoes. Vegetarians, cover your ears! Sean was our tour guide from Chile Dream Tours, and he put us in all the right places with all the right people. My husband and I enjoyed it, and our two kids (ages 17, 20) did as well. It was a truly enjoyable day!

Highlight of our Trip
We visited Chile to continue my goal of snowboarding every month of 2019. While the main purpose of the trip was to snowboard, this day tour was by far the highlight of our trip. We had a different tour with Sean the day before and scheduled this tour on the day we departed. He was able to take all our stuff with us from Santiago and drop us off at the airport around 7pm for our redeye. We made an unexpected stop on the way at a winery to see alpaca's, because those animals are cool and we were talking about them. The city itself was one of the most unique experiences we've had. The street art and colorful houses were amazing. We also did a little tour on a boat so we could see the bay and city from the water which was very relaxing. The restaurant Sean took us to was amazing. We sat at a corner table with a view of the entire bay and the city. The food was great but the view was spectacular. This day was by far the highlight of our trip to Chile. I highly recommend this tour to anybody visiting Chile/Santiago.

Relaxed tour of the City
We did a day tour of the city in early September and had a blast. We were able to see many different areas of the city and our tour guide was very knowledgable regarding the recent and not so recent history of Santiago and Chile in general. This tour was 1000x better than trying to discover the city on our own.

Amazing day in Valparaiso
We wanted to take a day trip outside of Santiago and we very happy with this trip. We enjoyed walking the streets of Valparaiso and seeing the magnificent street art. It is a very special place to visit! Seeing the Pacific Ocean was a plus — lots of photo opportunities along the way. Our driver and guide were stellar — they made our trip very comfortable and insightful.

Walking tour of Santiago
Great 7 hour tour! We saw pretty much the entire city from parks, museums, palace, cristobal hill including cable car and funicular. Stopped for lunch of our choice and rode subway. Perfect for day when you have nothing else planned!

Private Andes Adventure
Our Andes tour was breathtaking to say the least. We began with a really intriguing tour of a beautiful Alpaca Farm, what cheeky animals they are and visited their exquisite store. Next was the Winery In Situ at San Esteban, we learnt a lot from our lovely guide and tasted some delicious Chilean wine. The icing on the cake was Portillo Inc Lagoon, the sheer beauty of this place is indescribable, our guide for the day Sean made sure that our entire day was tailored to our needs. At the end of a great, informative day we were dropped off and then Sean sent us through beautiful photos and videos he had taken throughout our adventure. First class treatment the entire day, thanks so much, we will return.

Highly recommended
Our guide was Sean, a very professional operator who was on time collecting my wife and I from the hotel, and from there we had a comfortable journey to the coast. Sean's experience and knowledge was obvious and he had a sense of which information to share with us about each highlight. Our day on the coast was well-paced, included worthwhile activities, we were not rushed and had a nice restaurant lunch which was recommended. The afternoon was spent continuing along the coastal area and surrounds, with plenty of opportunities for pictures of the unique views. We had a memorable time with Sean and we especially appreciated his handling of some challenging traffic. Well done Sean, thanks for a great day.

Private Andes Day Hike Yerba Loca Nature Sanctuary
We had the most amazing day hiking in the Andes today, Sean picked us up and then our adventure began. The drive to our destination was just as interesting ,eveything along the way was explained to our delight. Words can't describe our wonderful day in the Andes, the sights and experiences were second to none, from walking through freezing glazier water with our shoes off to just sitting and taking in the huge silence. Sean looked after us, guiding us along the track but also taking some amazing photos and videos of us, giving us some special memories to keep, we were so impressed that we will be booking another tour with this company. I would recommend them to everyone!

Fantastic private tour with a perfect guide
We are sure the best way to discover the above locations is with Chile Dream Tours and Sean as your guide! Our day was perfect: We saw all attractions as discribed - but what we saw was much more than we expected. It was simply unbelievable, for example the top of the Aconcagua mountain (because of a good weather situation). The last highlight on this tour was lunch at "La Ruca", a typical restaurant near Los Andes. A very big plus was the individual possibility to change the timetable of this tour in advance: We started with Portillo and made the vinetasting afterwards. Special thanks to our guide Sean. He was very friendly, competent and a safe driver, especially in the serpentines of the Andens. And he also enjoys his job. It was a wonderful day.

The most excellent tour we've ever had
We've booked our private tour on a general travel website a few weeks in advance and luckily got Chile Dream Tours as operator and Sean as our private guide. So as the weather on that early Septemper day everything was perfect! Sean picked us two up at our hotel in Santiago with a very warm welcome and a comfortable car and so we had thought at once: This will be an enjoyable day! And so it was: We visited everything what was on the schedule and this not in a rush, but in a personal, nice and relaxing atmosphere. Sean was so friendly, a good driver, well informed and didn't got tired in answering our questions. As we talked about our wish to see Alpacas in reality he stopped at a organic vineyard near the motorway and we had the possibility to take lots of photos. :-) As we arrived in Valparaiso later another local guide joined us for a private harbour ride (just us four on a big boat) and a walk through the upper town. We got a perfect recommendation for lunch - from the restaurant's terrace you could overlook nearly the whole bay. After that we continued our day tour through Vina del Mar - the last stop was finally at the enormous sand dunes directly at the Pacific Ocean. When you do not have so much time in Chile don't miss this private day tour - it is such a big difference to the big coaches and you see a lot more. And do it with Chile Dream Tours, it's a very good value for money und you will get so many personal impressions from the area. Thank you again Sean for this wonderful day - you really made our day and our holiday in Chile!
