Good morning, the trip was excellent, the wine tastings is awesome and the wineries it so beautiful. Matias e very good guide and very attenticious.

The tour was excellent. We went to Chile’s best two wineries. Our guide Matías was the best, on the way to the wineries he talked about all the history of Chile and the wineries. He just seemed to know about everything, and always knew how to answer our questions. We loved VIK wines, since they were soft and balanced. Montes wines were stronger but the winery was very lovely, full of tradition and the restaurant Fuegos de Apalta was very good. It was a very good whole day tour to enjoy the best of Chile.

A few years ago we did a bike trip with Ecotours in the Colchagua Valley and enjoyed it so much that we didn't hesitate to contact Cristian again to help plan a custom hike/bike trip in the Lake and Volcano District. We did 9 days of hiking and biking with a private guide/driver for half the cost of some of the big international cycling companies. Everything was perfect from the booking and paying via bank transfer to the routes, scenery and hotels. Our guide/driver Juan Pablo was friendly, polite and very eager to make sure we saw as much as possible and had a great time. We also did a one day hike and winery trip from Santiago with Daniel driving us. A great way to spend an extra day in Santiago! I wouldn't hesitate to book another trip with Ecotours. Cristian responds promptly to email, is trustworthy and is very knowledgeable about travel anywhere in Chile.

We did an 11-day bicycle tour of the Lakes and Volcanoes Region of Chile. We have done many bike trips over the last two decades on six continents, and this was one of the best, if not the best. The scenery was fantastic, with so many volcanoes, beautiful lakes, waterfalls, unusual birds, and very tall and very old trees. The roads (many of them new) were smooth and lightly-trafficked, and the E-bikes were very comfortable and user-friendly, and were perfect for some of the longer climbs. And the guides were very personable, knowledgeable about all things Chilean, and very responsive to our needs and desires.

We had a great time. Our guide safely got us from our hotel in Santiago to Valparaiso and took us on a tour of the city. He carefully selected his route to avoid areas with too many tourists at that time etc. After exploring the city, he recommended a great restaurant where we had a delicious lunch, overlooking the Pacific. My partner and I did a week long custom tour of the Atacama last month with Ecotours Chile and I can’t say enough good things. Cristian, the owner, was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the whole booking process. He made a personalized itinerary for us and took care of all the details! The guides in the Atacama, Daniel and Lautoro, were amazing as well. They knew the area inside and out and took us to so many special places that no one else knew about. The tours generally included a hike (of varying degrees of difficulty) and ended with specially prepared spread. We travel a lot and this trip is one of the best we’ve ever taken. Do not hesitate to book with them! We’re already looking forward to going back to Chile and touring Patagonia with them :)

The Wine Tour to the Maipo Valley was amazing. We learned about the vineyards but also about Chile's history. Ecotour was very professional from start to finish. Our guide, Leo, was very knowledgeable and kind. I certainly recommend Ecotour and look forward to participating in a new adventure when I return.

My wife and I had an amazing privste tour with Leonardo and Matias. They knew the area very well and told us some of the history and cultural commentary of the area. Worth every penny for the private tours. These guys are locals and very professional.

This was a very memorable trip that we would never have been able to do without the planning, expertise and execution provided by Christian. Everything was as seamless as possible, even with the challenges of traveling internationally during COVID. Christian was fantastic. He helped us design a fantastic two-week long itinerary including a trek in Torres del Paine, Patagonia and then a few days in and around Santiago. He was in close contact with us throughout the trip to make sure that everything went smoothly. There were no problems with the hotels or any of the transportation arrangements. The guides he recommended for us were excellent. I would absolutely use his services again and would recommend him to anyone traveling in Chile/South America.

We just finished our 8 days cycling tour in the lakes and volcanoes district and are extremely pleased with the excellent personalized service we had from our guide David and our driver Eladio, We appreciated their flexibility and their attentions and the beauty of the rides. Because David is also a mountain guide, we substituted a cycling day for hiking Villarrica Volcano in Pucon. It was also fantastic! Before that we did the 6D Atacama hiking tour with another good guide Daniel. We loved the diversity of the hikes and the wonderful sceneries Atacama desert has to offer. The quality of the hotels and of the restaurants that EcoTours selected for us exceeded our expectations. We had a great time! Daniel and Santiago were amazing. We were very impressed with the way they tailored the trip to our photography needs and how flexible they were. We took some amazing photos and had a lot of fun. We also learned a lot about Chile and the geology and geography of the region. We hope to be able to do the south of Chile and Bolivia in the future and Ecotours will be the first one to contact in both cases.

In late February we embarked on a 4 week journey to Chile. We combined some independent travel with guided tours using Cristian from Ecotours Chile for help with the planning and arrangements. That decision made this trip so much easier. We covered a lot of territory from the desert in northern Chile to trekking in Torres del Paine. Cristian organized our 8 day bike trip in the Lakes and Volcano region and our 5 day trek in Torres del Paine along with arrangements for extra days in Puerto Varas, Puerto Natalie’s and Santiago and the needed bus transfers to/from Torres del Paine. The bike trip was a bit of a stretch for us as we were mainly rails to trails bikers BUT so glad we pushed our boundaries. It was an amazing not to be missed experience. Our biking guide and support van driver were wonderful. Besides talking about what we were seeing and sharing insights they were alert to group or individual needs. The “W” trek in Torres del Paine was awe inspiring. We stayed in Refugios as we hiked along the trail. Yes, usually 6 person rooms but clean and comfortable with hot showers down the hall and dining facilities so you only need to carry your personal items for this 5 day trek. Pretty cushy trekking!!! Again our guide served us well, stopping to point out things of interest, providing insights into the local culture and even making fresh coffee for us in the morning. Chile is such a spectacular country and so diverse. You leave wanting to return for more. Our trip was fabulous and Cristian did an outstanding job putting it together and in his recommendations for our independent travel days. Thank you Cristian for taking such good care of us.

The bike tour was terrific; our guide and driver were wonderful! We really appreciated our guide's enthusiasm and willingness to adjust the tour to his guests. We especially enjoyed his companionship and listening to the stories of his many experiences. We also appreciated driver's sense of humor and efforts to please and excellent van. The biking was great and well suited to all of us. We biked all the way from the Tunel las Raices to Paso Pino Hachado and then back to Liucura, while my son and I biked up to the ski resort on Volcán Orsono! My wife and daughter made it half way to the ski resort. The scenery, views, wild life, and flowers were all spectacular. We were very lucky with the weather. It rained three days, but we never got wet! Two days we started biking just after the rain finished, and one day we finished biking just before the rain started! Thank you for organizing such a terrific bike tour! The trekking in Chilean and Argentinean Patagonia was great! The scenery and animals are spectacular, and we continued to have good weather, especially in Chile :) EcoCamp is really a special place. The setting is stunning, the food is great, and everything is very well run. Our suite loft dome was wonderful! The hotels in El Chaltén and El Calafate were very nice. The trekking was challenging, and the trails are more rugged in Chile than Argentina. Nonetheless, we did everything as planned on some long days. The tops of Monte Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre were in clouds when we were at their bases, but we saw both summits as we hiked back to El Chaltén from Cerro Torre! The only day that we got a little wet was the day we hiked to the base of Monte Fitz Roy. There was no wind in Chile and only occasional gusts in Argentina. We saw guanacos, foxes, hares, rheas, geese, swans, flamingos, woodpeckers, and even condors and deer at a distance! We also saw avalanches from hanging glaciers and icebergs calving from lower glaciers into lakes. Our guides were very competent as well as good companions. Every one of our shuttles was on time, so we made all of the many connections as advertised. We found this truly remarkable. Thank you again for your role in organizing both the biking and trekking tours. We will remember them fondly for the rest of our lives! This was a family trip but our children are adults.
