Finding the bus with a little help from some new friends.
The bus driver was very good and I was amazed at how efficient and safe he was able to make some of the turns. The bus staff were friendly and helpful. The actual ride was sufficient for us to see the sites of interest and we were able to get off at selected sites on our second lap around. We got on at Stop #9 in front of the Red Cross building, and relied on the confirmation of the roadway construction crew that we were indeed in the correct place as we could not find any bus signage. We bought our tickets in person from the booth in the basement-mall area of the Gran Torre building in Santiago. The staff there were friendly and helpful.

Good way to see Santiago in a short time
Good way to see Santiago. Be patient because the buses don't really have a itinerary so sometimes you have to wait a little longer. Unfortunately the headphone system in one of the buses was not working but they had a solution for that. Pretty good arranged but in summer Santiago is hot. I enjoyed the day. Upgrade the ticket with for sure the cable car.

Portillo & Laguna Del Inca tour by Turistik
I find the guide Mathias and driver Armando were doing a very good job to execute the travel plan which turned out to be on schedule from point to point. Despite the fact that all of other guests, except myself, who were all native Spanish speakers, which would mean that Mathias would have to deliver his guide today all in Spanish for which I didn’t mind. However, Mathias did not take that as a given and he offered me the service in English wherever he saw there was a chance to do so which I appreciated very much for such good effort,

We really enjoyed the trip of a whole day, from the VERAMONTE vineyard to Viña del Mar and its exquisite seafood restaurant and good price, Valparaiso is a unique city that surprised us for its construction on the mountain and view of the port from anywhere, its streets full of art and ancient constructions and atmosphere of freedom and security, especially we loved the LA SEBASTIANA House Museum by Pablo Neruda.
All the people of TURISTIK are very friendly, friendly and Pro.

I had a great experience on this tour, Jacqueline told us so many things that all the time I was entertained. The vineyard and walking in Viña were my favorite parts.

I would recommend that when stopping at lunch you walk about 10 minutes to a nice Indian restaurant called Ambika.

I recently participated in the “Wine, Neruda Museum, Valparaíso, and Viña del Mar” tour and found it to be a rewarding experience overall. The visit to Viña Veramonte in the Casablanca Valley was a highlight, offering a delightful wine tasting amidst picturesque surroundings. Exploring Pablo Neruda’s “La Sebastiana” House Museum in Valparaíso provided enriching cultural insights, and the walking tour through the city’s hills allowed us to immerse ourselves in its vibrant atmosphere. The panoramic visit to Viña del Mar, featuring the iconic “Flower Clock” and a traditional beach, rounded off the itinerary nicely.

However, I believe the tour could be enhanced by slightly reducing the number of destinations. At times, the pace felt rushed, limiting the opportunity to fully appreciate each location. Eliminating one stop might allow for a more relaxed and in-depth experience at each site.

In summary, this tour is commendable for those looking to explore Chile’s central coast in a single day, blending wine tasting, cultural exploration, and coastal scenery. With minor adjustments to the schedule, the experience could be even more fulfilling.

We primarily booked this tour so that we could tour Valparaiso and photograph the street art, and this is what happened on this tour - we first stopped at Veramonte winery, which was a nice stop to see their winery and sample two wines, then drove to Viña Del Mar and had a very very brief stop at the flower clock to take a photo, then went to the beach for a bit and then to lunch. Following that, the tour took us to Valparaiso and Pablo Neurda’s beautiful house on a hill overlooking the water. When that was finished, it was going to be time for the walking tour to see the street art. At that point, the guide asked who wanted to go on the tour and who did not, and because more people voted to not go on the walking tour, he skipped it altogether, even though a substantial number of guests still voted to go on the tour. It was extremely disappointing, especially since this was the primary reason we booked the tour, and the promotional photos showed photos of the street art, and it was listed in the itinerary. It was our first visit to Chile and I’m not sure that we will ever have the opportunity to make it out there again. The tour company offered us Santiago Hop-On-Hop-Off bus tickets as compensation for this issue (which we did not need or accept), but would not offer any type of refund or other option to make up for the incomplete tour. Also be aware that this tour does not take you see the sea lions or the Easter Island Moai in Viña Del Mar. Overall, if I were to book this tour again, I would choose a different tour company that delivers what it advertises.

I went with the guide Luciano and the driver Hemenendes (I don't remember exactly). On the 27/11/24
The guide did not speak a word in Portuguese, at all times was in a hurry, everything had to be done running.
On the beach, we had 10 minutes to “wet our feet.”
We did not take advantage because we did not feel the will to enjoy the walk.
In the restaurant, the only one we were offered, we waited for the dishes for more than an hour.
    I told the guide that I would not “eat running” and he replied;
I'll give you another 15 minutes.
I said he was gonna wait 15, 30, 50 or as long as it took.
We spent an absurd time in Valparaíso listening (always in Spanish), stories we didn’t understand. The package we sold informed that the guide would speak Portuguese. Lie. We didn't hear a word in Portuguese.
On the return, always in a hurry, almost left a passenger at a stop. If a passenger hadn't warned, the poor guy would be there today. He even told me how many passengers had boarded.
The driver, very attentive and quiet, however, did not use the air conditioning. We sweated to pin. A heat of hell inside that bus.
I will not add photos because year we had time to take good photos.
The few we got, it was from inside the bus. Suffering.

    SUMMARY.
If the guide were more professional and better prepared
If the tours were better planned
    If time were better used
If the guide did not stay “putting pile” and rushing everything and everyone and
If the bus used air conditioning, it could be better.
    But it wasn't.

What we paid for wasn't worth it.
It would have been better to rent a car and take a quieter ride.

I do not recommend. A shame.

Starting with the places you visit:
Includes visiting a very hasty vineyard, I think they could give it more time as it is something different from the rest of the vineyards with more modern production methods.
Valparaiso forgives the disappointment and can be avoided on your visit to Chile, for being a UNESCO heritage site the city is quite neglected, few murals/graffiti that could really be considered street art, 95% of the city seems vandalized.
Pablo Neruda's House is the best of the tour.
Viña del Marbastante accepts including the restaurant for lunch, which is on your own.

About the supplier, they manage a very large group of a full truck, which makes interaction with the guide difficult, which is mostly unilateral communication, so many people attend the visit to Pablo Neruda's house. I took two different tours with Turistik and they invariably depart 15 minutes after the time indicated in their description and on the pass, I think they should be more respectful of the time and effort that one spends to arrive at their pick-up points on time.

The redeemable thing is that this tour with the company is one of the best you can find to visit these destinations.

Nothing to regret if you skip this tour independent of the agency you choose

We got a last minute booking with turistik and were pleased that we were able to be included as part of the tour. Meet up instructions were given only at the time of meet up via whatsapp. We were actually around the area but we were a little lost with directions as there were no sign boards or visible buses around the area. We do recommend that it’s stated much more clearly on the information column. We had to get the staff from Doubletree by Hilton to help us locate the spot.

We were guided by Luciano for our tour. He’s very knowledgeable and throughout the entire ride he was busy translating both languages and gave very in-depth details about the history and places we visit. We would appreciate if Luciano smiles a little more and probably not be to stand-off-ish. He answers questions pretty sternly, not sure if we’re experiencing cultural indifference.

For Valparaiso side, as we had to walk in a group, due to hill slopes, some elderly were not able to walk too fast, and the team was broken down to few parts. Most of the murals were pretty much rushed through and most of the people actually preferred taking more pictures but was limited to do so. We were given a long explanation for 3 different mural spots which I suppose was part of the famous mural spots but we really do hope there were more freedom of explorations as we were staying still at those 3 mural spots for a pretty long time.

Overall there’s vineyard, vina del mar beach, lunch, Pablo Nerudo’s house and the colorful murals to explore, it’s generally a great experience but we do hope some parts can be improved to be better.

Excellent organization, on time departure, information from desk and guides what’s clear. You get your ticket immediately on your email and just need to present it before boarding. The trip is comfortable and the driver was really careful. The first stop it’s at Valle Blanco, ask for Julio he knows perfectly all the wine manufacture process and will answer all your questions. The wine tasting was really good. Then you will depart to Viña Del Mar, go to the pier and be respectful with everyone’s time (you’ll have plenty). Then you they’ll drive you to a nice restaurant. It’s a little expensive but it’s worth the price, get the machas a la parmesana and tuna with a glass of pisco sour. There you should be careful with the gypsies that will try to scam you (we were warned by our guide and he took care of us all the time). Then you will finally will go to Pablo Neruda museum, take your time to discover everything and take the walk around Valparaiso. Our guide was Jorge, he loves and know Chile, and our driver was Marcelo. Tip them if you can, they deserve it. Finally they will drive you to your start point at Santiago or wherever you want (if there’s a Turístik stop, just ask for it. One piece of advice that has nothing to do with the tour, never get a cab, use Uber instead or you’ll get scammed, taxis will charge you 5 or 6 times the price of an Uber because they take a lot of detours to your destination. Also if you don’t have pesos, you can use your credit card linked to your Uber account and you’ll be perfect (also safe). Hope you have a great time! P.s. the price of this tour is the best you will find.

    It is a pleasant walk.
You first arrive at the Veramonte Vineyard, where they give a very brief talk about the history and so on, they show a part of the production through a window and you taste two wines: white and red.
Then you arrive at Viña del Mar, there is a very short stop (20 min) on the beach to take photos and then they took us to the Nogaró restaurant (not included). When we bought the tour, the girl who sold us the ride told us that the bus stopped at a restaurant but that we could choose where to eat because the street was full of restaurants and that's not the case. To be able to go to another one you must walk because they are not next to each other, in fact there is nothing on the sides. The restaurant is very nice with a view of the sea, but the food did not surprise us.
From there you come to a stop of about ten minutes at the flower clock for photos.
Immediately we go to Valparaíso, which is next to Viña, the bus parks and we enter La Sebastiana, Pablo Neruda's house. I thought it was a good experience to visit that museum.
From there the return to Santiago begins.

Jennifer was an amazing guide fluently conversing in English after describing in Spanish to half of our group the history and interesting aspects of this tour. Aramis was our driver and he was equally amazing …safely driving us up narrow roads of Valparaiso where walking tour was all downhill for us to see the colourful houses and murals. Vina del mar was interesting as a contrast and had a wonderful restaurant with fresh seafood for lunch. The trip to the vineyard in Casablanca in the way was interesting and enabled us to appreciate the good quality of Chilean wines. Overall a terrific day, thanks!

Jennifer sounded like an exceptional guide, alternating between English and Spanish to meet the needs of the group. And the driver did a great job driving them safely through the roads of Valparaiso. I'm glad they enjoyed the experience so much, from the colorful murals to the delicious lunch and visit to the vineyard in Casablanca. What an amazing day!
