Embalse El Yeso Day Trip from Santiago
US$ 100.00
Overview
Escape the hustle and bustle of Santiago with a visit to the Embalse el Yeso. This mountain reservoir, known for its distinctive turquoise hue, seems to exist a world apart from Chile’s capital city. Luckily, its distance makes for an easy day trip. Experience the raw natural beauty of this Andean oasis with the comfort of a guided tour.
What to Expect

Your trip begins with convenient hotel pick-up in Santiago, then you’ll relax and take in the view as your van winds its way up into the scenic Andes toward the Cajón del Maipo canyon. The first stop is mountain town San José de Maipo, a welcoming spot for a traditional breakfast and coffee. You’ll learn about the town’s rich history and culture before continuing your trip. The next stop is the Túnel del Tinoco, an abandoned train tunnel thought by some to be a site for paranormal activity.

Once you arrive at the striking turquoise waters of the Embalse el Yeso, enjoy your lunch with a glass of Chilean wine as you admire the incredible views. When your tour is over, you’ll be taken back to your hotel in Santiago.

Great trip!

It was an amazing trip going through the Cajon del Maipo with excellent explanation of each detail. Extra complement to the guides Diego and Francisco that were amazing going above the average guides!
