Small-Group El Morado Trek and Hot Springs Day Trip from Santiago
From US$ 160.00
Overview
The beauty of the Andes Mountains is best appreciated in the wilderness, and this Cajon del Maipo tour takes you there. A moderate 5-hour trek leads to the stunning El Morado glacier, followed by a relaxing dip in the natural thermal pools of Banos Colinas. Your guide provides essential gear like snowshoes and gaiters, as well as carries a picnic lunch, wine, cheese, and water to keep you fueled during a long and satisfying day in a natural Chilean landscape.
What to Expect
This Cajon del Maipo tour from Santiago begins with hotel pickup. Your driver expertly handles the curving road up through the mountains while you admire the passing scenery.

After a pitstop in the town of San Jose de Maipo to stretch your legs and optionally buy snacks, finish up the drive to El Morado Natural Monument of Valle de las Arenas (weather dependent). Upon arrival, follow your guide up the rocky slopes of the Andes Mountains en route to the El Morado Glacier. Your 2.5-hour ascent is rewarded with a stunning landscape and picnic lunch.

Return to the car and head to the Banos Colinas for a relaxing soak in the natural thermal pools before returning to Santiago.
