About
Today, anyone familiar with Singapore will easily recognise the waterfront skyline of the Marina Bay. However, fifty years ago, Marina Bay does not yet exist and the area is just open sea by the mouth of the Singapore River. It was just an idea, a thought, a reverie...that is to be realised over the long arc of long term planning. This is a journey that I will take you ... come join me, to see how a city is transformed into an endearing place to live, work and play.

    Highly recommended!
I would highly recommend the tour! Jasmine the guide gave a deep and insightful nostalgic account of Chinatown and brought the place to life with her personal anecdotes. You would leave with a real understanding of the place.

Fantastic Nostalgic trip in China town
We LOVED this tour. Jasmine our guide was fantastic. We had taken the HDB tour with her and loved her way of explaining things. She has been born in Chinatown and was able to show us where her house used to be. She took us to smith hawker market for breakfast. We tried a completely different food of steamed rice cake with meat and sauce over it. We had a delicious cup of sweet black coffee ( kopi O) Jasmine explained how to order, which vendors had been there the longest and a wee bit of history regarding the food. On the HDB tour we’d had the toast set breakfast so wanted to try something new. After breakfast we toured Chinatown, got to know the names of the streets. We then went to the Chinatown heritage center. This is an amazing museum and a tribute to those that loved through it. Jasmine was one of 11, they lived in 2 small rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen. There were examples of these rooms in the museum. My husband had a cold so we went to a Chinese herbalist and got a special tea. It fixed him;) If that didn’t fix him the temple visits would have. We got to see the hills/clubs section of China town and ended up at the Maxwell hawker center, Please do this tour and ask for Jasmine

    Great HDB Heartland Tour!
Very informative tour! I fully understood Singapore public housing system thanks to a knowledgeable guide Jasmine. She also works in a real estate industry, which means she knows everything about singapore housing. Looking around HDB showflats mingling with local singaporians was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it to everyone who wants to know more about excellent public system.

Singapore's World Famous Public Housing (HDB) Up Close
Great for anyone who wishes to have a good idea about public housing in Singapore or who simply wish to hear how the monumental task of housing 80% of its population was achieved. Kind and well informed guide who happened to speak Cantonese also! Eye opener for a Hong Konger like me!

    Fantastic tour of city condos
Excellent tour of Singapore's city planning in the City Gallery plus tour of elegant neighborhoods within the city area that are simply hidden in plain sight because they sit right behind touristy areas. Guide has in depth knowledge of the real estate market in Singapore and provided sound advice for me and hubby as we were looking to rent in a nice neighborhood. Established an almost invaluable contact !

    Excellent HDB Heartland Tour!
Had a wonderful tour focused on Singapore's HDB, by a knowledgeable and friendly guide (Jasmine) who provided in-depth details about Singapore's HDB system. Even though I have been to Singapore several times, only after this tour do I have a clear idea about how Singapore's public housing system works and it was fascinating indeed! I have no regrets joining this tour and would highly recommend it to visitors interested to know about Singapore's public housing development.
