Good to do if you need to fill in a day...don't expect much from snorkelling not much to see apart from dead coral and some random fish, Cowrie Island the better of all Islands in the Bay...

        Caves are amazing
Cave was excellent mangrove not worth the time or money. The zipline looks great but dangerous when stopping at the bottom. Several people got injured due to lack of support at the bottom with the sudden stop. If you are facing backwards, no fault of your own, you have no idea when you are about to stop

        Well planned tour
The tour operator rearranged the order of the three events so that we spent no time in lines. We were able to walk up to the zip-line with no wait, go straight to the mangrove toyr, walk right onto a boat, and then had a boat waiting for us for the underground tour. On our way back, the tour guide connected us with a van transport to El Nido. The van met us on the way back, saving us several hours. Very efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable. All three events were worthwhile.

        Best way to see Palawan
Best tour ever, due to bad weather I was not able to do the underground river tour on the first day, but I did it on the last day. Rodyn was great she followed me every day and accommodated my needs. Special thanks also goes to Geko who followed my last day of the underground river tour. Great experience, I can only recommend Corazon travel

Great tour of Coron! The hot springs was the highlight. The climb to the Coron sign and cross was challenging but worth it to see the view. It was great exercise for sure. Our driver and tour guide were both very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

        Coron town tour
Mark and Lando made the island tour worthwhile . It’s a good stop gap tour to take if you have time in the afternoon. If lucky you can watch the sunset from the top of the mountain . The tour ended with a dip in the hot springs . We were even lucky to have Mark sing us a song playing the guitar . The tour is 4 star but the guides were 5 star.

        We loved it
My partner and I had an incredible time exploring the Underground River of Puerto Princesa. The beauty of the river and its cave formations left us in awe. Echo, our guide, was amazing—super funny and full of energy, making the ride to the river so enjoyable. Her warmth and knowledge made the experience even more special, and she shared fascinating insights about the river’s history and geology. The whole trip was seamless, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much for making this adventure unforgettable!

We took a a trip to Palawan as a family (my cousin family's and my and I) and decided to do the Underground River in Puerto Princesa. My suggestion is to leave early in the morning because the later you leave, the longer the line will be at the river.

On our trip we had a private tour as we had eight adults and two toddlers. On the way we stopped at vista point over looking the sea. It was well worth the stop and the view. We then proceeded to another tourist stop at a beach to take a walk and take pictures. The views of the ocean was beautiful. This is also where you could do some activities, and in this case our nephew and his girlfriend did the zipline. He and his girlfriend enjoyed the zipline.

We then went to the port that takes you to the Underground River. Since we had time, we had an early lunch which was part of trip. The food was good and it was a variety of Filipino food. We then took the boat over to the river.

We arrived at the river but we had to wait about 45 minutes to wait our turn to take one of the boats into the caves. Once on the boat , we went into the cave. It was nice as the temperature must have dropped over 10 degrees which helped because it was hot and humid while waiting for our boat. If you fear the dark, going into caves, or bats, this might not be something you want to partake in. Once in the cave we saw the different limestone formations and the history of the caves from our tour guide. You travel approximately 1.5-2 kilometers or more into the cave before you turn around.

Afterwards we took our bunka back to the main port, which was nice because of the views were maganda. Just a word of the wise when you are on the island at the Underground River, be aware of the monkeys because they are known to be aggressive and recommend you don't eat or bring bottled water as the monkeys would grab the bottles.

We had heard the underground river tour would be worth it, and it was even better than we imagined. This is a good thing, because it’s best to spend two nights in Puerto Princessa to be in position and have plenty of time to get to and from the site. It’s a two hour drive on hilly, windy roads to get to Sabang, the take off point to get to the park by motorized boat where the underground river starts and there’s a lot of waiting around to get on board the boats once you’re there. Wear shorts and water shoes because you’ll get wet getting on and off the boats. Once you’re at the park, you board a paddle boat and are given an audio guide. Be patient. The cave is worth the time. What I didn’t realize is how many fascinating shapes the stalactites and stalagmites form; several of them look like Christian iconography. You’ll see images that look like the Last Supper, Joseph and Mary in the manger, and the face of Christ. The paddle in the caves is about 35min. Then you return to Sabang by motor boat. A good Filipino buffet lunch is included and optional activities of paddling in the mangroves or zip lining are offered. We did not participate in those activities but enjoyed refreshing, yummy frozen drinks (pineapple, mango-pineapple and ice coffee) from Brenda who is one of the food vendors towards the end. Star was our shining guide from Puerto Princesa.

Read the whole review. Firstly I want to make it clear the caves were fantastic and I recommend anyone seeing them. HOWEVER the tour was disappointing. To start, we were collected 20 minutes late and it took 2 hours from Puerto Princessa city to get to the dock. The mini bus did have ac but was very cramped with 9 people in total. It then took 2 hours for our tour guide to sort the permit for us to get a boat to the caves. The itinerary is also incorrect. The ‘beach' which states you have 2 hours at, is infact the dock that you wait at, and is not an area to have leisurely time in. The lunch provided was a buffet and it was very tasty. I would recommend the caves to a friend but not this tour company. The 6- 8 hour tour was correct but the majority of this time was in the mini bus or dock, the cave tour is only 45 minutes.

Located only around a couple of hours from Puerto Princesa, this wonder of nature is really worth-visiting and will leave you in a state of awe! I've been to this place a number of times already and it still impresses it. However, I noticed that since it was declared as one of the 7New Wonders of the World, more and more people have been visiting it daily. Booking has also become more complicated. Organized tours have likewise become expensive. Last of all, the waiting time to board a boat both to reach the place and to enter the cave has become longer. Sometimes it would take you an hour or two to do so. On the more positive side, the use of an audio guide is great. A clean restroom has been built, as well as a photo booth.

We booked the day trip with the hotel. Pick up is approx 7am as it’s almost 1.5 hours to the site. It cost us 2500 pesos per person. May vary hotel to hotel. There is additional 150-300 pesos environmental fee. Keep this receipt safely as it’s one time payment for all sites visited in puerto princesa. Lunch is served. There maybe an opportunity for you to try the longest 800m zip line (600 peso) in Palawan and do the mangrove paddle boat (350 peso). The boat takes you within the underground cave to a distance of about 1-1.5km and the cave is sighted via flashlight. Awesome sight. Must visit.

This tour to the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River was a letdown. While the cave itself was undoubtedly impressive - and worth seeing, the organization and execution of the tour were severely lacking.

Firstly, the tour description completely omitted how the several activities impacted the overall experience; resulting in these activities caused the majority portion of the group to wait in the cold and wet for an extended period, which was incredibly uncomfortable and frustrating.

Secondly, the "guides" were essentially just drivers. They provided minimal information about the park or the surrounding area. There was no engaging commentary, no historical or cultural insights, and no real effort to enhance the experience beyond basic transportation.

Overall, this tour felt overpriced for the level of service provided. The lack of transparency regarding additional activities and the lackluster guiding severely detracted from what could have been a truly memorable experience. I would strongly advise potential travelers to upgrade to more private experience or seek alternative tour operators who prioritize customer satisfaction and provide a more comprehensive and engaging experience.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your Puerto Princesa Subterranean River tour. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know where we fell short. The Underground River is indeed one of Palawan's most remarkable treasures, and it’s disappointing to hear that the logistics and guiding aspects of the tour detracted from your visit. Your feedback regarding the lack of engaging commentary and transparency about the additional activities is well noted. We take pride in the guides that provide services to our guests in Palawan; aside from the sights, they’re the ones who make the trip worthwhile. As such, please know that we take your concerns seriously. If you can reach out to us and provide us with the date your did your tour, and the name of your guide so we can properly investigate it. We will be sure to address this with our team to improve communication, guide engagement, and overall service delivery. We also apologize for the inconvenience caused by extended waiting times and the impersonal experience you described. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future to provide you with the high-quality experience we are known for. Please don’t hesitate to reach out directly if you decide to return—we’d love the opportunity to make it right.

We were very lucky that the people who were booked on the day with us were awesome company. All of us encouraged each other to do the zip line including first timers and senior citizens! The 37 minutes out of our over 8 hour day that we actually spent in the underground river was brilliant. The included lunch was also good and the boat trip to and from the underground river an interesting experience.
The long van drive to and from the site included some excellent scenery.
The 4 hours spent waiting for our turn in the hot sun was a low point. The organisatiion is bad. The trip mentioned other activities you could do such as walks, visiting a beach outside the NP where you could swim and bush walks. Alas it was straight into the van for the return trip. The tour operators should be able to work together and organise it so tours are booked in at an apoproximate time slot and people can do these other activities rather than sitting round waiting for their turn to catch the boat to the river. Our guide through the river moved us through the river calmly but was often out of sync with the audio description so some of the main features were only a brief glimpse as his light flashed over them. The total darkenss experience was a failure as two neaby guides were shining their lights on the formations around us. I suspect the opertors were trying to rush all the people through the cave before closing time.

The river itself is an amazing site and well worth seeing. If I had the time and was doing it again I would try to stay in the town about 3 km from the NP so I could get in and see the river before the crowds arrived and have time to investigate the other things to do in the area.

Oh, man, you wouldn't believe the epic adventure I had when I visited the Sabang Underground River on Puerto Princesa Island! It was like stepping into a magical realm right out of a fantasy book.
First things first, getting there was an adventure in itself. We had to take a bumpy ride through the lush tropical forest, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The anticipation was building with every turn, and we couldn't wait to see what awaited us at the underground river.
Once we arrived, we hopped into a little boat, and our journey into the mysterious depths began. The boat guide handed us a small spotlight, and as we entered the cave, the stalactites and stalagmites began to take on the shapes of mythical creatures. It was like a natural art gallery created by Mother Nature herself.
As we ventured deeper into the cave, the darkness was all-consuming, and the only sounds were the echoes of the boatman's stories and the gentle dripping of water. Every corner turned revealed a new chamber with formations that looked like dragons, castles, and even hidden treasures.
The highlight of the tour was when we reached a massive chamber known as the Cathedral, where the ceiling soared to seemingly endless heights. The boatman asked us to be silent and switched off all the lights. In that pitch-black darkness, we experienced an otherworldly stillness that sent shivers down our spines. Then he lit a spotlight on the cave ceiling, and we saw thousands of bats hanging there, like stars in the night sky. It was surreal!
The grand finale was when we reached the "Exit." The sunlight streaming in from the outside world felt like a rebirth. We had spent nearly an hour exploring the mystical underground world, and emerging from the cave was like returning from a parallel universe.
This adventure was nothing short of magical. The Sabang Underground River isn't just a tourist attraction; it's a portal to a hidden world full of wonder and enchantment. If you ever get the chance, make this journey – it's a memory you'll treasure forever. 🌟🌿🚣‍♂️
