Its broad collections cover all of Indonesia's territory and almost all of its history. The museum has endeavoured to preserve Indonesia's heritage for two centuries.

2. National Monument/ Presiden Palace Photoshop. National Monument as the land Mark of Jakarta and as a symbol of Indonesia independence.

3. Eldest Chinese Temple. The complex of Vihara Dharma Bhakti was erected in 1650 under the order of Luitenant der Chinezen Kwee Hoen. The temple was named Kwan Im Teng in Hokkien or Guānyīn tíng in Mandarin (觀音亭), literally "Pavilion of Guan Yin", to honor Kwan Im whom the temple is dedicated to.

4. Fatahillah Square (Puppet demonstraton at puppet studio if available). From the beginning of its foundation, Batavia was a well-planned Dutch forted city. The square that would become Fatahillah Square was first recorded in c.1627 as Nieuwe Markt (Dutch "New Marketplace"). At that time the mouth of the river Ciliwung (named then as Groote Rivier, "Big River") meandered toward the west-side of the square, giving the square a riverfront quality. The square was only half the size of the present square, the eastern half of the present square was occupied by shophouses.

5. Diamond City of Drawbridge. Kota Intan Bridge was build ini 1628 by VOC, and thereafter underwent several name change.

6. Sunda Kelapa also as a Commercial. Although it is now only a minor port, Jakarta has its origins in Sunda Kelapa and it played a significant role in the city's development. The port is currently operated by the state-owned Indonesia Port Corporations.
