Your guide picks you up at your accommodation in the morning, then heads to the center of the island to reach your first destination, Guliang Kawan. There have a simple Balinese breakfast served with coffee or tea.
After breakfast, stroll through the village streets to observe daily religious rituals like making offerings of Canang sari. Meet some elderly Balinese people who make palm wine (tuak), and try a sip of the alcoholic beverage. Learn how traditional tools are made at a blacksmith's house, then see a man making hats that are often used by farmers.
Next, learn how the farmers sprout, transplant, or harvest rice (depending on the season). You'll also learn more about subak, the traditional irrigation system that is on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list for the Cultural Landscape of Bali.
Sit down for a tasty Balinese lunch served at a hut that overlooks the rice fields.
After lunch, continue to Penglipuran, a traditional village that is known for classical Balinese architecture. Walk around the village to get a close view of the buildings before returning to your hotel to end your tour.
