    What to Expect
Day 1: Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Hutong (L)

Meet a guide at your hotel lobby in the morning. Your first stop is Tian'anmen Square, followed by a tour of the Forbidden City visit. Continue to Jingshan Park to get a bird's-eye view of the entire Forbidden City, then pause for a Chinese lunch in a nice local restaurant.

In the afternoon, explore Hutong, the Beijing old neighborhood. Finish the day with return transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Great Wall of China (Mutianyu or Huanghuacheng), photo stop at the Olympic Stadium (L)

Choose the section of the Great Wall of China that interests you most, then spend the morning exploring the historic fortifications. Following your time at the Great Wall, pause for a restaurant lunch and make a photo stop at the Beijing Olympic Stadium, where you can see the Bird Nest and Water Cube. Finish the day with return transfer to your hotel.

Day 3: Temple of Heaven, Panjiayuan Flea Market, Summer Palace (L)

After morning pickup at your hotel, head to the 15th-century Temple of Heaven, the largest religious building in China. It was originally used by the Ming and Qing emperors to pay homage to heaven and to pray for a year of rich harvest, and locals now come to the temple to practice Tai Chi, sing, and dance.

Following your time at the Temple of Heaven, browse stalls full of fake antiques, paintings, and jewels at Panjiayuan Market, then take a break for lunch. In the afternoon, head to the Summer Palace, where from April through October your tour includes a dragon boat ride after you stroll around ancient pavilions, mansions, temples, bridges, and an enormous lake.

This tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
