- tammyrayhall10 contributionsTo the elephant orphanage with a driver for 1/2 dayWe loved seeing the orphaned elephants and rhino. The driver was really good and I would definitely go again. We also went to a bead factory and a shop with beautiful wood carvingsWritten 23 July 2024
- Catherine5kbw0 contributionsExcellent experienceWe spent half a day with Patrick touring Nairobi. He showed us around the city, took us to Bomas of Kenya, on a trip on a local bus and for lunch at a traditional Kenyan cafe. Not only was Patrick a wonderful companion but he also gave us a real cultural insight into Kenya. We had a wonderful time and would thoroughly recommend the tour!Written 16 February 2024
- RTOOKER0 contributionsCheck in process a nightmare, missed our visit.Be careful on your entrance tickets. you MUST have a specific APP which we did not have to purchase actual tickets, nor could we download app due to poor internet access -- after trying 45 minutes outside property. We could not get in despite pre booking our appointment time. Was very dissappointed how this is being managed by government we were told, in that facility must use a specific APP.Written 29 November 2023
- Iceberg7040 contributionsFun excursionFirst, we didn't do a combination tour of the giraffe center and the elephant sanctuary. We booked separately and the driver from our hotel took us to both and then drove us to Wilson airport. With that being said, this was a wonderful experience to see the caregivers feeding and playing with the baby elephants. It is such a worthwhile effort. And cute how the elephants bond with their trainers. Kids will love it.Written 30 September 2023

- D6014EAmarionh0 contributionsAmazing Experience to rememberWe went on the Elephant Orphanage and it was AMAZING! Our tour guide Stephen was perfectly on time, had so much knowledge about the animals and lots of little tips to help us get the best photo spots and up-close experience with the animals. Would recommend to allWritten 1 May 2023

- Pimba840 contributionsThey knew my elephant…….What an extremely emotional experience to actually visit the orphanage that I fostered little “Shimba” so many years ago. It’s one thing to send money to an organization that purports to rescue animals but when you get the chance to go in person and meet the handlers and see how well these babies are treated, it actually brought tears to my eyes. They remembered Shimba and told me where he was released. I went on several game drives during my stay and always looked for the most handsome bull in hopes of finding him. I hope he is doing great in the wild.Written 15 November 2022

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to The Bomos of Kenya. It was the perfect way to start our Kenya trip. The cultural dances and the education on the different clans in Kenya was awesome! Would definitely recommend. Our tour guide Samual, was very patient, helpful and informative.
