I booked a tour expecting a five-star experience, but what we got was a complete switcheroo. After booking, I waited two weeks for the operator to finally give me details about the promised cruise—only to receive the name at the last minute. On arrival, we discovered it was a completely different, lower-star boat than advertised. When I called for an explanation, they ghosted me, leaving no option to cancel despite the 24-hour refund window. To add insult to injury, the tour guide forced a mandatory tip of $15 per person per day, payable upfront. Spending 5 days under these conditions was not only disappointing but also emotionally draining. Steer clear if you value honesty and a comfortable travel experience. The guide’s less-than-pleasant attitude and aggressive approach made the whole experience emotionally draining. Save yourself the hassle—avoid this tour company at all costs! PS: 80usd for abu simbel is not inclusive of entry tickets and 80usd hot air balloon actual cost is only 1500 Egyptian pounds.

The best experience I has since 2016 the nile cruise waas very wonderful, Ahmed from mody tours team was very helpful and provide help him time we need him, Egypt is a wonderful country deserved to be visited specially with agency like mody tours, in the beginning we were thinking it may be so cheap and we may not have the experience we want, but we had a wonderful experience with wonderful guide and a very calming nile cruise, thank you guys

This tour was amazing. The guides were very knowledgeable, personable and attentive to our needs. The boat we stayed in was top notch as well as the boat we stayed on as we went down the Nile River. We were pleasantly surprised as we did not know what to expect. The tour van drivers were courteous and knew where they were going and how to avoid traffic jams. The tour guides gave us enough free time to explore on our own as well. We recommend this tour whole heartedly.

If Egypt is in your bucket list, this trip is for you. From the time we landed in Luxor till we left to come back to the US, we were well taken care of every step of the way. All logistics were handled very well and the schedule was adjusted as needed if minor delays happen to get back on track! (e.g our Hot Air Balloon landing was slightly delayed but we got back on track in no time). Our tour guide Ahmed was extremely knowledgeable, acommodating and helpful. He was very attentive to everyone and their needs. All mody tours representatives were very helpful. The staff was friendly and courteous. The activities were well-put, we really got a taste of Egypt - from visiting historic temples, to learning about perfumes and papyrus, and to experiencing the food, culture and of course the market! We took the extra Abu Simbel trip and Hot Air Balloon and both are highly recommended!

Our guide, Mahmud, was awesome. Tour manager, Mostafa, took care of us from the moment we arrived in Luxor to our departure. We stayed at very nice boat and the itinerary allowed us to visit historic sites to relaxing in Luxor and aswan bustling city life. I highly recommend this tour package.

We chose this tour because of the wonderful reviews and because the itinerary matched all the sites we wanted to see on a Nile cruise. Although our trip started off with a late arrival into Luxor due to a problem at the airport, our guide Mahmoud was so helpful and he was able to make sure that even though we were late for our tour, that we didn’t miss the sights. He took us to the temples in Luxor and Karnak and even brought us some lunch and waters for the lunch we missed! Over the two days that he was our tour guide he was always friendly, knowledgeable and helped us in so many ways! Our trip to the Valley of the slings was great and we even did the optional tour of King Tut’s tomb. Mahmoud made sure that the rest of our trip was great and was very communicative on each day’s itinerary. We choose to do some optional activities such as the Luxor hot air balloon and Abu Simbel tour. I highly recommend the hot air balloon ride in Luxor as it was a definite highlight of our time in Egypt! Mahmoud set everything up and we were very happy that we could text him if we had any questions or requests. We really enjoyed our other tour guides in addition to Mahmoud. Our tour guide in Edfu (Mustafa) was friendly and informative and we had a nice time visiting the temple in Edfu. Our other guide Wael was especially wonderful as we toured the temple in Kom Ombu and the Crocodile museum. He gave us so much history and insights into the temple and he surprised me by being so knowledgeable about the hieroglyphics as well. The cruise accommodations were nice and the rooms were always cool and comfortable. The food on the cruise was tasty and everyday they offered a different choice of soup, entrees, salads and desserts. I especially enjoyed the updated machine that let you choose which coffee/espresso/latte that you wanted. The sun deck was a nice place to relax after a day of site seeing and the pool was refreshing. If you get a chance - get up early and see the sunrise over the Nile. Not only is it beautiful but it is the coolest part of the day! My advice is to always bring lots of water, sunscreen, light clothing, hats, and cooling towels as we appreciated all of those! It gets very hot in southern Egypt and you have to be prepared to stay cool! Bring lots of small bills to give tips to the many people that will help you during your stay in Egypt. If you are looking for an affordable and enjoyable cruise then I would recommend Mody Egypt tours. Take lots of pictures and videos so you can remember all the memories!

The guide was excellent although the deal bought from booking.com also mentioned in the “included” lunch, non alcoholic beverages and bottle of water available in the price. It was a 10 hour tour, lots of driving. The heat was important and there was no lunch offering, no stops to go and eat anything, no water even. This is not professional, I contacted the agency to let them know what had happened and asked for the link to leave a feedback. Of course, what do they do? Silence….. they cashed in your money, no customer service is non existent of course. Beware of these things upon meeting your guide, always read with them your tickets and what to expect for the trip, because after all, YOU PAID FOR A SERVICE.

Hani was a wonderful guide with so much knowledge of the history but more importantly he made us feel safe and cared for and nothing was too much trouble. The tour took in all the big highlights with opportunities for extra side trips to expand the experience further.

The stay at cruise, temple tours was awesome. Explanation of the guide Mahmoud is good, absolutely better than you visit the sights by yourswlf. All the waiters on the cruise is hospitable, however, tbh the equipment of the cruise is old which is compatible with your price of this trip.

It was a great experience. I really enjoyed the cruise. The tour guide is very responsible and will explain every place in detail. The cruise from Aswan to Luxor was beautiful!

There is no five-star standard on the outside of the cruise ship, and the interior rooms are small, but the waiters are super enthusiastic and have a five-star experience. The temples have their own characteristics, and the tour guide's explanation is very detailed, praise!

The trip was great, i have learned a lot of the egyptian culture and gods, the guide was wonderful and open to answer whatever doubt i had. The cruise was also great, very good food and bedrooms. I have no complaints about the tour. It was an amazing adventure. Thank you very much

Good food and the staff very friendly. The only problem was that you have to get up too early to go to the excursions.
