- Chrissy L00Hassaan CapoHonestly I couldn’t say anything bad about this your. It was truly amazing Hassan Capo was our tour guide and it was perfect! He knew exactly where to go to wait in the least amount of lines took amazing pictures and videos and was super patient with us the whole day. He was very well educated and passionate about Egyptian history and didn’t feel pressured or rushed once. We took many tours and this is by far our favorite guide and tour. Thank you!
- Jiji600300Very nice experienceAmazing experience. The hot air balloons are wonferful. The session had to be canceled due to the weather but they were able to offer us a tour the next day. Ragab was a friendly guide for French people who allowed us to discover the monuments of Luxor.
- theon86700Very informative tour guide & great tour overallMost certainly Dr. Mo is one of the most informative and knowledgeable guides I have ever had. He has a wealth of knowledge and I would recommend him & the tour. Maybe the lunch was not worth the upsell of $35 but I was informed of the price and what to expect in advance. However, overall a great tour and great guide and I would do it again & recommend.
- theon867001st hot air balloon ride! This tour was my 1st hot air balloon ride & what a great choice. Overall very safe & professional, they take it serious. Was an amazing view and relaxing with a smooth very easy landing! Worth the time & money
- P1570YUchristopherb00Very,very goodExcellent tour,Hassan my guide had done a Phd at University on Egyptology,so was very knowledgeable and explained the information in a concise and easy manner. He took his time, did not rush, one of the best tours I have ever done. Totally recommend him and the tour
- Camper6046342162700Marvelous experienceThis is one activity you should no skip if visiting Luxor. It has terrific view, our operator(Dr. Mo tours) made it a painless experience, from pick to delivery back to hotel was well organized. The flight was amazing and I think we got the best views of Hatshepsut Temple and surrounding valleys. The landing was way better than a plane, thanks to Omar for that.
- 934lucianav00Great day. Excellent guide. Lunch was amazing. It was great day. Excellent guide. For us it makes a huge difference visit the places with a guide. The lunch in a small boat was delicious and special.
- 268sergiou00Luxor with Dr. MoFantastic day in Luxor that started pretty early with the baloon ride but believe me, it’s completely worth it and as safe as it can be. The the Valley of the Kings and Queens are AMAZING! Finally the temples of Karnak and Luxor are something you should see at least once in a Lifetime. All this with de experience and expertise of Dr. Mo that’s actually a PHD egyptologist. He will make your tour unforgettable, trust me.
- Saraya H00Highly recommend a tour with Hassan! My sister and I did the full day tour with Hassan and it was incredible! He was extremely knowledgeable about Egyptian history and knew all the best spots to see everything. Lunch was also great. Highly recommend a tour with Hassan!
- Eilidh M00Hot but very worth itThis was an excellent tour. Hassan was full of information and so attentive. The valley of the kings were unbelievable. The heat was 45 degrees however l, so I would suggest coming at another time of year other than August if possible. Hassan was so good at stopping for breaks out of the heat.
- Getaway73130900Great way to visit LuxorHany was a great guide!! Had a fantastic time and Hany was very knowledgeable of the temples we visited, plus he told them in great entertaining ways! Definitely recommend
- V8371GFkendras00Core memories were madeWOOOOOW! What an amazing tour! This was our first time to Luxor and egypt in general and this tour exceeded every expectation. Put your guide Shaimaa was the absolute best! She gave us wonderful information all day long whether it be at the temple or driving around her home. She made sure that we we very well taken care of and cared for. We loved how she gave us guided tours as well as let us roam free. She even gave us the best advice as well as made sure we didn’t die of heat. Truly truly and unforgettable experience. We felt like a part of a family. If you book this tour you will love it we are sure!
- Cwicomb00Luxor Day Tour with Dr. MoWe thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Dr. Mo. He is extremely knowledgeable and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that he is actually an Egyptologist and lecturer. We managed to do all that was highlighted in the package, PLUS a delicious authentic Egyptian lunch. He is very personable and a pleasure to be around. He has a great sense of humour which made the tour a lot more fun. We would highly recommend this tour and in particular Dr. Mo’s company to anyone.
- lestarp00Please don’t do it!My family and I, inclusive of my 8 year old and 15 old sons were on a tour with Dr. Mo as our guide. We were coerced to give a 5star review while still on the tour during the 2nd stop. I have requested removal of that review and want to ensure an accurate review as given to ensure this happens to no one else. A few days prior to our tour Dr.Mo first attempted to tell us entrance fees were not included via WhatsApp despite the tour Clearly stating 3 tombs were included. Once I responded he then said the entrance fees would be included. We were picked up from the airport by our driver who seemed nice. We picked up our guide, Dr. Mo on the side of the road. Our first stop was the colossi of Memnon, he gave us a brief history and took 2 group photos of us before taking us to the next stop, the valley of the kings. Dr. Mo told us we could add the valley of the queens to see Nefertiti for an additional $25 PER PERSON as it would be another location on the opposite side but we declined and said we were interested in the tour we paid for and adding King Tut’s tour, which we knew was another admission fee of about $10. Dr. Mo said he would be taking us to an Alabaster place. He explained the importance of Alabaster to Egypt. Once we arrived they showed us how they turned Alabaster into other items. After the demonstration the gentleman showed us his store where the pricing started astronomical. They didn’t want us to leave and ended up dramatically dropping the prices. Once we arrived to the Valley of the Kings Dr. Mo showed us the map of the valley of the Kings and explained the reason for the differences in the sizes of the different tombs, including King Tut’s. He then stated he would get our included “2 tickets” and we could get our king Tut tickets at the booth if we still wanted to see King Tut. I pulled out my phone to check as I knew there were 3, not 2 tombs included. My husband asked him to confirm 2, he said yes. I quickly pulled up the tour and showed him the inclusions and said there should be 3, 4 total if we did King Tut. He then responded “Yes 3, 4 total.” We started to head towards the ticket booth but This is where everything turned for the worse. My husband and cousin called me back over and said Dr.Mo stated there would be an additional $25 per person, at this point I thought they were referring to the pickup and drop off at the airport which we were told about ahead of time and reminded of via WhatsApp the day before. They said he was saying this would be additional for visiting king Tut’s tomb and paid to him as a charge by the company. I scrubbed the tour details and exclusions prior to booking but I still pulled it back up while waiting for him ti come back from the booth as this was not stated anywhere. At this point one of our group members had already paid the $10 entrance fee for king tut entry but we were upset with the bait and switch method being used. Once Dr.Mo returned I had him clarify to the entire group what the fee was for. He then stated we needed to pay another $25 per person, in addition to the entrance fee because we would be adding something. We were not adding an additional stop on the tour as the tomb is in the same location as the other Tombs we were already seeing. He said it was the company policy. I asked him where it was stated and he said it wasn’t on there (viator) but it’s on TripAdvisor, I showed him it was not. My husband asked him to show us the policy and where it was written because of the principal. What is the fee for? Why weren’t we told about it before now? He said it’s his fee as a guide and it’s the company policy, but said the company would be willing to discount the fee to $20 per person. My husband then said we would be willing to go in the tomb alone to which he replied is “not allowed, it would be breaking the rules.” I then told him I didn’t agree, it should be stated prior to arrival and again showed him where the exclusion said the admission fee and mentioned nothing about an additional tour guide fee for seeing king tut. We also noticed he kept saying it was the company, not him. My husband asked him to state the name of the company knowing the response, to which he replied “Dr. MO’s tours.” He already mentioned he was the person messaging me from the company contact, I then pointed out he was Dr. Mo and therefore it was his company. At this point he denied it being his company and said it was “a different Dr. Mo, he was Mohammed and Dr. Mo was not Mohammed. At this moment he knew our entire group was unsatisfied and he agreed to not charge the unknown fee, but only if we gave him five 5 star reviews. My husband quickly said there were only 4 adults, my son is tall but he is only 15 and does not have an account. He responded with the parent could do it and wanted a handshake. Completely tired of the back and forth my husband said fine and Dr. Mo asked for everyone’s word. Once we received all of our tickets we got on a cart and went to the tombs. He was clearly upset and didn’t speak to us or give any narration during this short ride or walk to the tombs. Once we arrived, to our surprise he said “These are the 3 tombs I recommend and that one is King Tut’s,” as he pointed them out. “You all can walk around freely and I will meet you over there. I’ll give you 30mins”…then walked off! What? No explanations, no history or reasoning for those three tombs. We later found out guides aren’t even allowed inside the tombs by overhearing another guide tell his group. We later saw a sign at the meet up spot as well. All along he knew he couldn’t even go inside yet claimed we needed to pay him, per person, for the added tomb explanation as a guide. Not to mention it took 10 minutes max to visit king Tut’s tomb, and that amount of time was only because we took pictures. Once we all met up Dr. Mo said he would take a 5 minute rest, this would be a good time to post all our five star reviews. At this point we had only completed two stops, and still had quite a bit of time left. He then asked us all if we had posted our reviews, we each showed him. When it was my husbands turn he told him it took longer as he was told to do both his and our son’s but when lifted his phone to show him he said he didn’t need to show him as he trusted him. Once everyone was finished he told us we could continue. Dr. Mo then told us we would head to Karnak and said we would drive past the Obelisk of Queen Hapshetsut to see it from the outside. He then said we could let him know whether we wanted to go inside. Of course we all wanted to go as this was included in the tour we paid for. Once we arrived he said he was fasting and had not been able to eat or drink, he said the sun was hard for him so he would explain from the shaded visitor center instead of at the obelisk. We all perfectly understood and had no problem with where it was explained, we do however feel he should not have booked the tour if competing all of the activities would be a problem. From this point Dr. Mo offered us to take a boat to Karnak instead of driving for an additional $25 per person, at this point we declined as we wouldn’t save any time? It was extremely hot, and everything felt like an attempt to get more money. Once we returned to the car he said it would be an hour for us to arrive at Karnak, he would take us there, give us the option to pay $25 per person if we wanted to see Luxor temple, then take us to the airport. I then asked when we would eat lunch as lunch and water was supposed to be included, it was 2pm and we had received neither. Although we weren’t starving yet this was not mentioned when he was explaining the rest of our itinerary. Dr. Mo immediately took offense and said the food was traditionally served as dinner so we wouldn’t get it until after. He also said If we were hungry he could take us to a restaurant for a traditional Egyptian lunch and we would pay, you guessed it, about $25 per person. I told him I was simply asking a question as it wasn’t mentioned and everyone declined paying anything extra. Once we were closer to Karnak Dr. Mo said he would actually see it the place was open as he feared we may be hungry and wanted to make sure the kids ate. We ate lunch in the car and once a few minutes went by he said he was taking us to an essential oil place for 30 minutes as it was too hot outside. Mind you, we previously told him we didn’t care to go to the essential oil place but we no longer had the desire to go back and forth. Surprisingly, the essential oil place turned out to be one of the biggest highlights of our tour as the service from the people there was excellent. We told Dr. Mo we needed to use the restroom, he said we could use the toilet at Karnak. Once we arrived he rushed inside first. As we went to enter there were men blocking the entrance telling us we needed to pay them to use the toilet. They had no uniforms, they were not security. Mind you we’re all low on cash with all of the water and snacks we needed to purchase along the tour to stay hydrated and maintain energy in 100 degree weather. Plus, the purchases we made as a group at both the Alabaster place and Essential oil shop. My husband walked past them and took my son who couldn’t hold it. Once they came out the men again told him he needed to pay them, my husband told him to talk to his guide The rest of us held out and decided to wait until we got to the airport. Dr. Mo did explain Karnak and took another group picture. He then gave us more free time and told him to meet him when we were ready to leave. Once the tour was over I told him I needed to use the restroom and we wanted to get straight to the airport. He asked me if I wanted to use that one before leaving but I told him I didn’t have cash to give them nor did I want to. Never did he offer to ensure we were able to use the toilet and this was not a policy of the facility. As a guide, he should have made sure we were taken care of as all of our previous guides did. Finally, on our way to the airport the guide tells us the company says only 2 of our 5 reviews were posted. We showed him all of the reviews as we posted them. My husband reminded him my sons review was posted from the same phone and ip. He insisted someone else do do it which would have caused the same problem. Once my husband sternly explained it would do the same thing he finally said it was fine and took us to the airport. As a group we felt held hostage for reviews and this was the most terrible tour experience we have ever had. In a nutshell, the sites were amazing but please utilize another company as our trip was soured with the terrible memory of someone attempting to take advantage of us as tourists. We did not receive the detailed information we know we should have whole at the valley of the kings and can’t get that experience back. We had to google the significance of the tombs we went inside as our guide didn’t bother to explain other than King Tut.
- mel326800Great companyI wasn’t able to take the balloon ride due to bad weather. The Egyptian government cancels for safety reason when the weather isn’t good. Although I wasn’t able to have the adventure I was able to get fully refunded within a reasonable time with little fuss. Dr Mo was very professional and kindly refunded me. I took a previous tour earlier in the week with his group and highly recommend!!

We booked this tour last minute for 3 people, and were not able to enjoy the balloon ride as there was "no availability" which we thought was understandable given our late booking. A credit card refund was given to us for the cost of the balloon ride, which was very much appreciated. The sightseeing was incredible, and our driver was friendly and fun. However, we felt that our tour guide was only interested in extracting as much money from us as possible. It really cast a dark shadow on our day.
Our tour guide spent a lot of the day pestering us to visit "much better locations" than what is included with the tour (he told us it would be $20 USD per person, per "extra location"). We had to ask him firmly to stop. We also felt that the lunch was a huge ripoff, as we were taken to a restaurant which obviously had a kick back scheme running with the tour guides. We were served far more food than we wanted or asked for (one of us is a vegetarian and only ate rice), then got stuck with a ridiculously expensive cheque ($50 USD) with most of the food going uneaten, which is completely unacceptable.
We were also taken to a typical tourist trap shop where we were pressured to purchase pottery and stonework, which is clearly another kickback scheme with the tour guides. It took up time that we could have been enjoying the many historic wonders Luxor had to offer. We were not impressed.
Since none of the tickets to the various historic sites were included in the price of this tour, we were puzzled as to what we had paid for in the initial price paid for this tour, and ended the day feeling deeply taken advantage of. Finishing the day feeling like a walking ATM is not a nice feeling to have after what should have been a fun and exciting day exploring Luxor.
The best part of our day was when the tour guide left us and we got to enjoy the one hour boat ride with the two friendly young guys operating the vessel.
I would not recommend this tour to anyone that wants to enjoy their day in Luxor. We would have had a much more enjoyable, positive, and cheaper experience if we had just hired someone to drive us around to the different sites.

We booked this tour a couple months in advance electing for the 430am sunrise balloon ride. It was changed last minute to 615am this missing the sunrise.
Our drivers were very nice. Our first boat operator was fantastic.
Our tour guide-Mo- was knowledgeable on the sites. And that is where the customer service stopped. He spent most of his time on his phone. He also made sure to use our phones for pictures including himself in some of them. When walking to and from the sites, he would walk way in front of us, leaving us to deal with the “in your face” solicitors. When he did notice if we were being hassled, his only assistance was telling us to use our stern voice. When he was talking to us, he was very arrogant and clearly in love with himself.
We also had a 2nd half day tour with him. We had to catch a boat from the west bank to the east bank. We were told that we would have the same boat operator for the day. We opted to wait until the end of the day to tip. However, our return boat ride was with a different operator. When we expressed the fact that we didn’t tip the first operator, we were told to give the new operator the money for him because “they were brothers”. So we did. The next day, we ran in to the first operator only to find out that he does not have a brother. Thanks for lying to us.
My advice for future travels-go through your hotel. They can set you up with honest guides as this one clearly was not. Very disappointing. (And I am posting this on the correct tour)

The Luxor tour was absolutely incredible! We started our journey very early with the sunrise balloon ride. This is not something you want to miss while visiting Egypt. After the balloon ride we met with our guide, Ms. Samah. She was such a beautiful woman inside and out. With each temple and site we traveled to, she provided such great detail on the history. She took us across all of Luxor for the day and even personalized our tour to work around the buses and to avoid the large groups. Because of this we practically had the temple of Hatshepsut all to ourselves. The vehicle we used to travel was easily the nicest and most luxurious we’ve been in throughout our entire visit in Egypt. Our driver was always ready to go with the AC blasting at the end of each site visit. When it was time for the Folluca ride, we were greeted by the kindest staff. They provided drinks, played music and went above and beyond with taking some of the best pictures of my fiancé and I. By the end of the visit it was difficult to say goodbye to Samah. She was no longer our tour guide but truly a friend. If you can, make sure you request Samah as your guide. You will not be disappointed with the history she will provide of this ancient city. We cannot thank her enough for the most magical day in Luxor, Egypt❤️

Our tour started at 3:20am, when we were picked up by our driver to head over to the hot air balloon. The hot air balloon experience was absolutely amazing, just be sure to bring $20 if you want the video on a usb drive where they film your experience. After watching the sunrise, we met Dr. Mo and jumped straight into our tour. The sites were beautiful and Dr. Mo made sure to tailor the tour to our needs. His explanations were thorough, funny and were done under the shade, to keep us cool from the sun. Midway we were taken to Restaurant Paris, which had the most amazing food! Then we changed the Felucca ride to be during the day, to cut down on our time, since the heat was becoming unbearable. Dr. Mo set us up with his best guys who took care of us and made us feel at home on the boat. It was the perfect way to cool off, we even got to dip our feet in the Nile which was refreshing. Finally, we went Luxor Temple and Karnak to finish off our tour. So many beautiful sites to take in. Unfortunately, I was becoming sick from the heat and Dr. Mo was quick to walk us through the shaded areas and get us back to our hotel. I’m so happy with this experience and can’t wait to return. Thank you Dr. Mo for a beautiful day in Luxor, from start to finish!

Dr. Mo organized the tour. My tour guide was Hani Yassin and Ibrahim was the driver. Dr. Mo was attentive to my questions and concerns. Hani was very informative all throughout the tour. It was a long day, but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommended to go with his group.
A few tips:
1. Book the earliest schedule for the balloon ride. Pictures are best taken at sunrise, and it will give you lots of time for the rest of the day.
2. Hani will recommend the best tombs to visit. Take pictures and don’t spend so much time. For a bit extra, visit King Tut’s tomb. You can see his mummy and take pics. You cannot do this with the mummies at the Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
3. Karnak is the highlight of the trip. The temple complex is just awesome and indescribable. Spend more of your time here.
4. Make sure you reach Luxor while there is still daylight. Then wait until the sun sets and the lighting is just magical.
Highly recommended. You won’t regret it.

Hot air balloon in the morning was absolutely incredible, one of the most amazing things I have ever done in my life! Stunning and very well run. Unfortunately the rest of the tour after that was a bit of a let down. Our tour guide, although very friendly, clearly had somewhere else they wanted to be and was not invested in our tour experience at all, until it came to requesting a review and asking us to do it on the spot. The sights are amazing and impressive but would recommend doing the hot air balloon ride and making your way around the rest of the sights yourself!

This tour actually started when Dr Mo contacted me thru whatsapp the night I booked my tour. It shows his dedication in taking care of his clients.
The night before the tour, he again contacted me to inform him our room number for them to call us once they are in the hotel.
The hot air baloon was amazing, the captain was friendly and did the 'Egyptian Landing' , next stop is with Dr Mo - this guy has a good sense of humor and he knows is craft. You can see the he is passionate not only in his work but he wants to see Egypt as a whole succeed. I asked alot about the history and even mentioned that maybe this was built by giants. lol.
Another good thing with Dr Mo is his photography skills.
Good Job Dr Mo and hope that you will have more clients in the future.

Definitely recommend this tour to any one who will visit the luxor . it will start with an amazing balloon ride then your day will getting better by the hour from visiting the multiple temples then the felucca ride with enjoying the fresh air of the nile river . The attention and care from everybody in the crew especially dr mo to their travelers is overwhelming.
My only advice for you is to have a good night sleep to prepare for a day full of fun .

I loved every part of this tour. The hot air balloon is incomparable and the sites that follow are incredible. I was paired with Dr. Hassan and he was an excellent guide. He gave a lot of information, was funny, and kind. He also takes great photos! He catered the tour to the experience I wanted to have. As a solo female on this private tour, I felt very safe with him and he seemed to know many people as he’s a local himself. This meant less people hassled us throughout the day. Definitely recommend this tour and recommend Dr. Hassan!

Lovely full day experience packed with fun activities. Our day started at 5 am and ended around 530 pm. The length of the tour will depend on how long you want to stay at each site—there is no rush and you can take as long as you need.
