My husband, Tom, and I had the most amazing adventure through Egypt for Americans, October 2023. We have the highest of expectations when we travel, and we were looking for the ultimate, customized trip. Our every expectation was exceeded. From Cairo to Alexandria, Luxor to Aswan, we experienced the best Egypt has to offer. The Nile cruise was our first cruise, and I believe it will be hard to match the experience. Highlights included Giza and ascending within the Great Pyramid, riding a camel, enjoying the Mediterranean, and having a meal at the home of our guide Egyptologist Gaber Omar. When circumstances changed, leading us to depart one day early, every effort was made, ensuring that we experienced everything on our original itinerary. I highly recommend Egypt for Americans.

We just completed a 10 day trip to Egypt (Cairo and Luxor) and Jordan (Petra, Wadi Rum, and Dead Sea). Our group consisted of 6 people ranging from 8 years old to 80 years old. Everyone in the group had an amazing time! The tour guides in Cairo (Gaber) and Jordan (Omar) were incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. They were able to keep things fun and instructive for everyone in the group. The tour operator, Amr, did a great job of designing the trip to have a varied exposure to the different sites so that it did not feel like we were having the same experience repeatedly. Before our trip, we were a little anxious traveling to an area so close to the Gaza conflict, but we had absolutely no concerns about safety the entire time. The only hiccup that we had is that the person meeting us at the airport upon arrival to Cairo was very late. It wasn't a good first impression after a long flight to feel stranded at the airport in a new country. Our flight did arrive earlier than the scheduled time, but that was not in our control and flight times should have been monitored. Other than that, the rest of the trip went perfectly. There are many different tour operators that offer similar itineraries. The reason why we chose Tours for Americans was that they offered the same experience as others, but provided a discount for our two children, ages 11 and 8. This discount was not part of the packages from other tour operators, and resulted in a substantial savings. Our entire family highly recommends traveling to Egypt and Jordan, and Egypt for Americans!

We used EGYPT FOR AMERICANS on our recent, private 9-Day trip. We chose them due to reputation and responsiveness and we were extremely happy with the result. Their staff were there for us at every turn and handled every detail from setting up our unique itinerary (and graciously and patiently revising to meet our changing ideas and requests), to picking us up from the airport upon our arrival and to dropping us off at our departure. The staff were all friendly, timely, courteous and competent. Our two Egyptologists were extraordinarily adept and knowledgeable about, well, everything. Accommodations were all excellent and the food was quite good. Even the 115 degree heat (everyday) was made bearable by managing time spent outside. We consider the price to be beyond reasonable for the time spent and effort expended. EFA made this once-in-a-lifetime excursion memorable and enjoyable. Bravo!

Our trip was flawless - with the diamonds being the service and hospitality and attention we got from everyone involved with Egypt for Americans during our trip. Amr (the lead from the US), Zizo (the lead in Egypt), Magdi (guide in Luxor and Aswan), Gabbar (guide in Cairo) every single driver, and security officer. I was connected to Egypt for Americans through a company called Vicasso. I had used the Vicasso agency in the past for a guided trip in Greece. We've done Europe several times without using a travel agency, no prob, but Egypt is a place even the most travel savvy American will want some guidance. I connected with Amr for help to plan a guided tour for 5 adults for 5 days. Unfortunately we had the limited 5 days in Egypt due to it being the last stop add-on country after touring elsewhere for several weeks. Although Amr highly recommended we needed more time there, he kindly worked within our short timeframe and budget to see some of the best sites in Egypt. Everything was outstanding!! We had constant great in-county assistance, phenomenal Egyptologist tour guides (Dr. Gabe was the best and highly respected everywhere we went), good van drivers, excellent hotels (both right on the Nile with amazing views), perfect unique restaurants (one overlooking the Great Pyramids), and all of the famous tombs, pyramids, mummies, museums, temples, mosques, etc. in Cairo and Luxor. I truly recommend Egypt for Americans! I can't stress that enough. We were so impressed and felt like we were treated like royalty from arrival to departure in Egypt. Just a few suggestions for travelers - 1. Get change for plenty of small Egyptian pounds. Tipping is expected EVERYWHERE (bathrooms, guards in the tombs, basically after every service, where it is not typically expected in the USA). It can be very annoying. Follow the tipping guide provided by Egypt for Americans to tip your personal numerous assistants, guides, drivers, etc. I did not mind tipping our own team, they earned it. 2. Ask the guide to "call off" all of the pushy vendors at the gift shops. They can be very persistent and will hang with you for a distance as you walk by. 3. Unless you just really want the sales pitch and demonstration, tell the guide you do not want to stop at the carpet school, the alabaster shop, Al-Fayad perfume shop, and papyrus store. These were "surprise" stops that were not on the already packed itinerary. Although interesting, you feel put on the spot and obligated to purchase. We did purchase some items and probably paid way too much, but hey, hopefully we helped an Egyptian family. Use Egypt for Americans if you travel to Egypt!

Every now and then, during our visit to Egypt, my husband and I would turn to each other and say, “This is the trip of a lifetime!” And it was. Flawlessly organized by Egypt for Americans, our nearly two-week trip to Egypt (with an extension to Petra, Jordan) was beyond all our expectations. Amr worked with us to plan the perfect itinerary. He paid attention to everything we especially wanted to see and do, as well as making suggestions about other sights we weren’t aware of. In Cairo, our destination manager, Mohamed Abdelaziz, made sure everything went smoothly. Our Egyptologist guides were experts about everything we were seeing and great story tellers. They made ancient Egypt come alive for us. And their guidance about modern Egypt was invaluable. And our Jordanian guide helped us discover the magic of his country especially Petra. From our expert drivers to the people who greeted us, accompanied us, and guided us through the airports, our trip was perfect. The transportation supplied was excellent and the hotel accommodations Egypt for Americans arranged for us were fabulous. I’ve been wanting to see Egypt for most of my life. This trip was everything I had dreamed it would be and more. Thanks to Egypt for Americans, this really was the trip of a lifetime! Thank you!

We recently completed a phenomenal 12-day private tour of Egypt that was booked through Egypt for Americans. In every phase of this trip, from planning, transfers and especially outstanding guides, Egypt for Americans exceeded our expectations. We asked to go to some lesser visited spots such as Wadi el Hitan, Saqqara, and Maidum . Egypt for Americans made it happen. Being greeted inside the security area after a very long flight and sped through immigrations and customs was extremely helpful. The drivers of our private vans were exceptional, especially Ibrahim in negotiating the chaos that is traffic in Cairo. Our guides, Gaber in Cairo and Magdy in Aswan/Luxor, held advanced degrees and had decades of experience in topics related to ancient Egypt. When we go back to Egypt, we will use Egypt for Americans again.

My wife and I booked a small group tour very last notice in March 2021 with Egypt for Americans. They were very accommodating to our request and allowed us to make customizations to the tour such as a balloon ride over Luxor, a professional photographer session, tours to Alexandria, Memphis, and Dashur. We ended up being the only people on the tour, and rather than cancelling, they essentially gave us a private tour! All of the drivers, guides, and consultants were extremely professional, courteous, and nice. Magdy and Gaber were excellent tour guides. Having a majority of the meals paid for was a relief. Every airport in Egypt we were guided through(they are set up a little different from US and most European airports). We were given a mobile hotspot and phone on arrival, so purchasing a SIM card was not needed. The company also completely facilitated our Covid-19 tests that were required before our flight home. Overall, we had the trip of a lifetime and would not hesitate to book through Egypt for Americans in the future to see some of the new sites and the GEM!

Egypt for Americans is the best. number one Private tours agency. We felt safe and with our own guide and with a AC van with your own Wifi square. We had drinks at all times to help with the heat of the desert. Accommodations were always perfect and we were treated like royalty.

I have traveled extensively abroad and have even taken groups to South America so I feel comfortable in different countries, but I understand that many people do not. After reading everything about different travel companies I decided to use Egypt for Americans. Upon arriving in Cairo I was met at the airport by someone authorized to be behind security. They walked me through getting my visa, security, and took my luggage to the van. Then I was taken to my hotel which was as promised a five star establishment. The next day I went down to the lobby where both my guide and driver were waiting on me. It was like that every day. While in Cairo, Luxor, or Aswan and everything in between my guides were there to share about the history and exquisite architecture that Egypt has to offer. These guides were professionals who knew more than I ever imagined. I was amazed to learn how they built the pyramids and that the Egyptians were performing surgeries in 2700 BC. While there I also met some wonderful people. I always felt safe and even went out on the street at night to just watch the people go about their daily lives. It was a spectacular eight days and I am very grateful for the travel package Egypt for Americans put together for me. The care I was given from the time I arrived until I left was impeccable. I would recommend them for anyone traveling to Egypt.

Traveling to Egypt was a trip of a lifetime. Egypt for Americans did everything to make our experience a positive one. We were met at the airport and walked through the immigration process. And, the support and care never stopped. Besides their top notch care, they also made sure we had phenomenal experiences at each site we visited. The Egyptologists were very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions we had at the sites. We even received some hieroglyphic training. We were hesitant to visit Egypt at first and happy we decided to do the trip. We took our kids (ages 2 and 5) and felt safe the entire time. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and staff eager to make sure we had a top notch experience. They even had special treat boxes waiting for kids upon our arrival and had overheard the kids saying they wanted pyramid trinkets and had them waiting for kids after our camel ride experience at Giza. Amr (the owner of company) is from Egypt and currently resides in US. He has done his homework to ensure only the best accommodations are selected. We did Nile cruise and stayed in Cairo and Aswan. We also had the opportunity to go to a local market and village. We would highly recommend visiting Egypt and going with Egypt for Americans!

We traveled to Egypt in the summer of 2015 and were absolutely thrilled with the tour that Egypt for Americans set up for us! We related to Amr the highlights that we were interested in seeing and a bit about our travel style. He literally did everything else. When we arrived in Egypt we were treated like royalty and ferried around to our hotels and sites. The van was air-conditioned, there were always cold drinks available in the vehicle to keep us hydrated and our drivers were very solicitous and informative as they got us efficiently where we needed to go. Our tour guides were phenomenal! They were not only knowledgeable, but somehow in the few days that we were with them we felt like we formed relationships with them. We talked about history, mythology, archaeology and culture, but we also talked about our lives. We won't forget Hasam and Magdi and their kindness while we were in Egypt. They related what it was like to live and work in Egypt and when we left we felt like more than just tourists. Some of our favorite things besides the amazing pyramids and tombs, were our ride on the Nile river, the views from the botanical gardens on Elephantine Island, Abu Simbel at Lake Nasser, Philae Temple and the falafel at the bazaar in Cairo. Our tour in Egypt was very personalized and it delighted us and changed us! We would highly recommend a visit to Egypt facilitated by Amr and his crew!
