About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- dtke0 contributionsExcellentToday, our guide, Karam and driver, Ahmed, took us to the Egyptian Museum and then to some Egyptian shops in Cairo. They picked us up at our hotel in Giza exactly on time. Ahmed is a brilliant driver and the mini van was awesome to travel in. Karam is an excellent guide inside the museum. He has excellent knowledge and answered all our questions and gave us plenty of information. This was an awesome day with these two guys. Highly recommend this trip with the company. Thank you.Written 24 September 2024
- Vacation334940493300 contributionsEngaging, interactive tourDriver: Mohamed Abdul Guide: Mahmoud-Imam We had a very engaging tour with MI. He brought us to the Egyptian Museum and Islamic, Christian and Jewish places of worship. He is a fountain of knowledge. He shared plenty of history and took lots of lovely photos of us in these memorable sites. He checked on us regularly throughout the day and was full of facts about Egyptian culture and the city of Cairo. Our driver was so gracious and kind and very patient with us. A pleasure to spend the day with these gentlemen.Written 17 August 2024
- SingaporeHO0 contributionsGreat Interior, Wide Buffet Spread and Great Entertainment! We decided to treat ourselves to this before leaving Cairo to return home. We were awed by the interior decorations of the cruise that truly "teleported" us to a scene from the Arabian Nights. When the buffet started, we are slightly confused as to 'Where do we start?' since the spread was so wide. But this was overshadowed by the delicious cuisine. Then came the entertainers who put up a series of upbeat cultural performances that we enjoyed (but we had hope for a better sound system).Written 23 April 2024
- 312anushas0 contributionsTotal Rip-Off!We booked a half day tour of the Egyptian museum with Sun Pyramid Tours. Big Mistake! Our guide - Karam offered to take us shopping and for authentic Egyptian lunch after the tour. We had 3 small children with us and wanted to buy some toys and books for them. We were instead taken to the papyrus museum and a perfume store in the middle of town, ended up buying some extremely expensive oils that weren’t even authentic apparently. We asked to be taken for lunch a couple of times and kept getting delayed until eventually it was 2 pm so we asked to just be dropped off to the hotel instead. The guide then demanded tips for himself plus a cancellation fee for the restaurant which is unheard of. We felt very cheated. Horrible experience!Written 18 February 2024
- GrandTour673755548270 contributionsAirport Pickup + Evening Tour of GizaOur tour guide, Mustafa and driver Abdul picked us up in the wee hours of the night from the airport. They patiently waited for us as we got out of the arrival gate. They also took us to see the Pyramid Light Show as well as an amazing dinner at a rooftop restaurant with a panoramic view of the Pyramids of Giza! Abdul is courteous, safe and very skillful driver. Mustafa is kind, professional, accommodating tour guide. He provided a bevy of useful and interesting facts about different historical landmarks and places. We enjoyed our time with both of them!Written 19 January 2024
- hasenz20240 contributionsUnprofessionalMoney hungry, unprofessional scammers. I booked a transportation service to take me from Cairo to Alexandria and then pick up from Alexandria to airport the next day. Agreed on a round trip price and I paid before pick up. When it came time for the return to the airport they wanted to charge me an additional $35 because they thought we were going back to the original hotel not the airport even though I clearly stated airport. Anyways I said whatever I’ll pay the additional even though it was only 15 mins more. The online payment links they kept sending was not working so they said a representative would meet me at the airport to collect the payment. I did not like this because we were already cutting it close to the flight. I did not feel like this additional payment was necessary especially due to the return car being much smaller and driver stopping twice on the way to the airport! Once for gas and once for a coffee break. When someone is trying to catch a flight this isn’t how a transportation service should go. I can keep going but for the length of this post I just want to mention another lie that was told. When we got to the airport the driver insisted we go meet the representative for “VIP” treatment so they can help us speed thru security. This was a lie and all we did is drive to the self park where a representative was there to take the $35. I only had $25 USD and gave the rest in EGP and they had to call their boss to get approval. Outrageous! Don’t use!Written 6 January 2024
- marcih5530 contributionsThe perfect day around CairoWe arranged a private tour with a group of 7 friends. Our guide was Mahmoud Emam. He was FANTASTIC . He picked us up from our hotel, the Ramses Hilton ( NEVER STAY AT THIS HILTON. NEVER ). We were scheduled to be picked up at 0730. He arrived early and helped us check out and leave our luggage with the concierge desk. . The driver ( Vin Diesel 😂) was waiting for us in an air conditioned van. We all headed out on time at 0730 and drove to the Giza Pyramids, we also visited the sphinx and 6 of us rode camels in the desert behind the pyramids. WOW. Mahmoud knew everyone and guided us to the healthy camels with owners who didn’t haggle with us and try to make us pay them to dismount. That’s a thing. AMAZING morning. Them off to the Step pyramids in Saqqara. AMAZING again. Sometimes these adjectives are needed and accurate. We then had an authentic Egyptian lunch. We learned about Egyptian cotton and then visited the New Museum with the mummified bodies of the royalty from the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. We had just visited there so that was the perfect tie in. Now we are dusty but happy and Mahmoud and Vin Diesel drove us to our airport hotel Le Meridian. It’s a 10/10. Always stay here the night before your flight or if you arrive late at night. I highly recommend Mahmoud Emam. He was knowledgeable, funny, transparent and knew everyone. We were safe and happy. Thanks for the perfect day!Written 24 October 2023
- scottmJ1407JQ0 contributionsAvoid Sun Pyramid ToursI have to say the tour guide was very nice but this tour was not as described at all and I will leaving a review explaining that online. Let’s first start off that it started 20 mins late and the communication was poor from the office. The tour was supposed to start at 8am and I hadn’t heard anything and when I contacted the office it took 20 mins to get in contact. Then we went to 2 churches but due to services I couldn’t get in until 10am when that was the first stop and started at 820am when I asked the tour guide she said she advised the office of this when she heard about the early start time but they still proceeded. Then we went to the museum which was fine and as I expected , and the bazar which was not worth it at all but that was part of it. Then since we finished 3 hours in to a 5-6hour tour I asked if there was anything else we can do it was suggested to go to the civilization museum which was great but then they charged me $30 more for the tour there for a $7 ticket when other parts of the tour had to be adjusted because of things closed. Then in there I saw guides giving other folks tours around it but my guide suggested I go in there on my own. All in for $170 this tour was not worth it all and would not recommend. I did 2 tours the previous days with 2 other companies who were fantastic and would highly reccomend Marco from Deluxe Travel. I would AVOID Sun Pyramid Tours at all cost. Again the tour guide was very nice and willing to answer any question but the company was horrible and they don’t advertise the tour guide won’t be with you during certain parts of the visitWritten 28 July 2023

- MariaP106670 contributionsExcellent experienceBeautiful experience . The boat was so pretty, the food delicious and the performers amazing. We truly enjoyed it. I wished it lasted longer to enjoy more the view as during the whole cruise we were amazed by the performers without really looking outside. I do recommed this experienceWritten 18 April 2023
- Lovingtravellingin0 contributionsA good experience in Cairo but guide services to improveWe arrived in Cairo having spent great six days in Luxor guided by the Luxor Sun Pyramids team Picked up on time by a charming young man who provided useful explanations about Cairo and offered options for the following 48 hrs. Praise our driver who managed really well the incredibly chaotic Cairo traffic including Giza site at rush hour full of buses, cars, camels, dogs. A real pro. We enjoyed Giza site and Egyptian Museum. We declined the visit to the aromas factory . We had been taken to an alabaster " factory " in Luxor which we did not enjoy as not planned to start with and not adding at all to the Valley of the Kings's programme. Our children adored the camel ride On the way from Giza to the Museum , we were not given explanations about the itinerary or the places we were passing by in our first visit to Cairo, the guide focusing on his cell phone. Once at the Museum, after max 45' explaining the Museum "highlights" we were left to wander around the museum on our own while our guide sat at the cafe. Lunch took place in a pretty touristy place with OK food. No explanation about where we were, let alone lunch all together. In Luxor we always lunched with the guide and enjoyed the conversation exchanges. At 15:00 the guide dropped off the van near his home and left the non -English speaker driver to take us back to our hotel. Compared to the great guiding services we enjoyed in Luxor, experience in Cairo felt average, no more than 3 rating. The other services bring it to 4Written 9 January 2023
- Laynette10 contributionsBest Travel agencyFabulous company! Trustworthy and dependable even in the middle of the night. I was worried to travel to Egypt but Sun pyramid Tours made me feel welcome and safe. They picked us up at the airport at 1am, did currency exchange for us, took us 30 min to Giza to our hotel, arranged 3 tours for us (all huge and AMAZING) we had the best tour guide that went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience. (Muhammad) you cannot go wrong with them. The also picked us up in Giza at 4am and got us to the airport on time. You will be happy you booked them. Also did tons of pictures of us and trick photography! Just the best!Written 21 December 2022
