Her knowledge base was evident and her English mastery made the history and stories easy to understand. It was a great and relaxing day except for the gym workout in the tunnel. - BatCom970 contributionsGood, professional tourThis is a good tour. Our guide (Charles) was knowledgeable and professional. I was worried the tour guide might be overly excited (trying to make a serious historical trip a “fun, exciting adventure!” etc) but I was glad that was not the case. Charles was polite and pleasant while still treating the subject matter appropriately. I also appreciated that they made the effort to pick me up from my hotel. Unfortunately there is some forced gift store shopping at the end of the trip however it only lasts about 15-20 mins.Written 20 March 2025

My one-day trip to Seoul was an incredible experience. Fellicity, our guide, was exceptionally knowledgeable and had a warm, soft-spoken demeanor that made the journey even more enjoyable. She shared fascinating insights about the city’s rich history, vibrant culture, and hidden gems, making every stop more meaningful. From exploring historic palaces to recommending delicious Indian restaurant, the day was filled with unforgettable moments. Her well-planned itinerary ensured we experienced the best of Seoul without feeling rushed. The combination of her expertise and the city’s charm made this trip truly special. I would highly recommend Fellicity as a guide.

My mother and I were in Seoul together for roughly 2 weeks, and we really wanted to find a tour that covered a lot of ground in one day. This was my first time to Korea ( I'm half Korean), and my mother hadn't traveled back for roughly 35 years (she was born here but her family came to the US when she was about 10). South Korea is essentially foreign to both of us, even though we are culturally and genetically tied to it. Knowing this, we wanted to soak up all the rich history here in Seoul so that we could appreciate our heritage.
This tour allows you to specify which hotel you're staying at so that they can come and pick you up straight from your hotel. This feature is SO great. We met our tour guide, BK, in the lobby and he informed us that our group would be very small that day. Usually, there are more than 20-25 people in these groups, so he was very pleased with our size of 6. BK made sure everyone knew what was going on, where we were going, what we'd be doing, etc. at all times, and this was great. He was very informative and made sure there was a balance between giving small lectures and letting us explore on our own. BK admitted that his English isn't perfect and that he's still learning how to speak it by watching YouTube videos. I must say, he's doing a wonderful job! He is able to project his voice and articulate everything he wants to say in English, so don't worry too much about language barriers.
We saw the changing of the guards at Gyeongbokgung Palace, explored the palace afterwards, headed to the folk museum, the ginseng museum/center then over to Insadong for lunch and a stroll through some shops, Seoul Tower, and finally Hanok Village. The itinerary listed online perfectly matched the sequence of events during our tour, and this was great. It can be quite difficult to find a tour that matches every aspect of its listed itinerary, so we were very pleased. Additionally, the van we were being transported in was very clean, so that was another bonus.
Now, after reading how amazing this tour is, you may be wondering why I'm not giving a 5 star review. The one aspect that was a complete tourist trap/scam was the Ginseng center. A woman rushed us through most of the center (very robotic and scripted) and then led us to a room where a lengthy sales pitch took place. The whole experience there was quite odd and underwhelming. When we entered the "sales pitch room", they closed the doors behind us and made it seem like a "private viewing". My advice is... if you want to buy Ginseng, just go to a street market, not a center like this. In the grand scheme of the tour, this portion only lasted about 25-30 minutes, so don't let it stop you from booking the entire tour...just be mindful that it's just a sales pitch.
Overall, the tour was fulfilling , fun and informative! I've never left a review on a tour before, so leaving one for this tour must mean something, eh? You definitely get what you paid for and more. Thank you, BK!

Our tour guide Julie was both funny & entertaining. We were called the ‘Julie Group’ & you could hear her calling out loud the rest of the group to gather just like a mother hen. The tour is pretty interesting but I won’t recommend it to the elderly & to those who need a wheelchair to get around cos some part of the tour is not wheelchair accessible. It’s pretty hectic climbing the hill to Buchon village as well as the steps leading to the top of Namsan Tower. Overall an interesting experience.

There are certainly many places to visit in Seoul, but this tour shows you the essence of the main places that you absolutely must visit.
This tour takes you from the ancient history of Korea to the present day. But surely this transition from the past to the present would not be possible without the magic of our guide Lizzy who, with perfect English, explains the places visited as well as their history to the smallest detail. I warmly recommend this tour, even though on March 1 it was very cold with a temperature of -6 degrees but felt at -13. Even in these conditions, Lizzy took care of the whole group and literally warmed us all by giving us some portable heaters that made our tour more bearable. Pure magic once again. Thank you Lizzy.

This tour covers many different places. This tour is well worth the cost. Special thanks to our tour guide, Lizzy (Ji Young Lee). She was excellent at her job. She suggest where to stay to take a good photos/videos. She explain in details for the particular places that we were touring. Also, she is very organized and quick at making last-minute decisions and finding solutions. For example, the cable car up to Namsan Tower had a waiting time of at least 45 minutes. She took all of us on the city bus to the top of the tower to save time. We did take the cable car down, but there was no wait for the ride back. She also made a time to help taking photo of each families together. She also makes sure to set aside a few minutes at a different location and offers her service to take photos of each family, so they can all take pictures together. She communicated through WhatsApp and was very prompt in replying. The bus came to the hotel, and she entered the lobby to fetch us while the driver parked the bus away from the hotel, as large buses are not allowed to park in front. Even though these details may not seem important, small things like this help the day go smoothly. This was our first group tour scheduled in Seoul and surely it was the best tour and tour guide we had.

This is a great tour for those with limited time in Seoul, as it packs a lot into one day. However, be prepared – it’s quite intensive. The pace is fast, with a lot of movement, including climbing stairs, and considering Seoul’s hot and humid weather, it can be physically challenging.
The group size was a bit too large (around 20-25 people), which led to some issues with people getting lost or separated. Our guide, Yoon, was amazing at managing multiple tasks at once—constantly guiding the group, keeping us informed, and often having to track down missing people without losing her cool.
There were also a few older, retired people who seemed to struggle with the physical demands, and some had to leave halfway through. But that might have been a personal issue.
Overall, it’s a well-organized tour for those up for the challenge. Just be prepared for the heat, humidity, and the brisk pace!

We made last a minute reservation for an all day tour when we didn’t have advance plans.
Our adventure started bright and early, a bit after 8am the next day.
Yujeong was very thorough and upbeat while paying attention to details such as accounting for wandering tour members and time management of each attraction stop. Yujeong whisked us past long lines, got us the best perspectives for photos, and did it all very humorous stories, jokes, and history sprinkled throughout.
The tour itself brought us from Gyeongbokgung Palace to North Seoul Tower to Namsangol Hanok Village. The details are more than I can rightfully explain in this review. But I’ll say that it was very well worth the cost and filled our day with fond memories!

Well worth the cost. The price of lunch and the entry fees into the attractions and cable car rides for Seoul Tower were probably half of the cost of the entire tour. Great value to spend all day with a knowledgeable guide around the city. I had PK as my guide and he was extremely helpful. Not only did he explain Korean history and culture well but also was very helpful for providing recommendations about where to go and what to see based on each person's personal plans after the tour. I only had 1 full day to spend in Seoul so this was easily the best way to explore the highlights of the city in a limited time period.

As a first time visitor of South Korea, and Seoul, this is a must. It will give you a glimpse of the city’s beautiful landscape, its culture, traditions and a brief history.
Katie, our guide was the best! She made the tour exquisite, it felt as if we’re friends travelling together and just having a good time. She is very friendly and easy to talk to. Very knowledgeable of their history, customs and traditions, even the current events and trends. Our group was a mix of multi nationals, young and old, yet nobody felt left out. Time flew by so fast, a sign that we did enjoy today’s events. Thank you again Katie!!! Saranghae!!! Hope to join your tours again on our next visit.

What a great excursion! Seoul is a fascinating city, and this tour helped us gain many insights into the history and culture. In particular, we want to single out the terrific job done by our tour leader Eden. She did an excellent job managing the group dynamics, providing us with great commentary, mitigating the very hot weather on the day we went, and accommodating many individual needs and requests.
We highly recommend!

Hi, could I please ask HOW you visit Namsan Tower e.g. do you get the cable car from the starting point ? Walk / Hike ? Are you transferred to the bus ? My understanding is that cars / buses can't go up to the top - only the one yellow approved tourist bus ? Could you please confirm are you taken to / from the tower in this trip. Thank you
Written 26 June 2024
The trip is completely organized by the organizers. They pick you up from your hotel and can drop you off at your desired location. The price includes all the required tickets and lunch. You dont have to do anything but enjoy. The bus takes you around the city and for the namsan tower - the cable car takes you up. However, even after that, you have like 50 steps to climb to to the top where you can roam around. There are quite a lot of shops on the top so you can chill and eat food there as well.
