About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- haruy20190 contributionsI'm proud that I choosed this tour!My partner and I took this tour when we visited Georgia in August. As it turns out, it was a great experience, and I'm glad we took the 2-day tour instead of just the 1-day one. On the way to the winery, Nika, our guide and driver, gave us an overview of the history of wine in Georgia and the current situation surrounding wine production. At the winery, we were able to hear various stories directly from the producers while sipping wine. It was not a typical business-like wine tour, but a tour where we could feel the culture rooted in the land and the thoughts of the people who live there. I believe this is because this tour company has built deep relationships with the producers. We were lucky to have them share that with us.Written 31 August 2024
- Iwassoberbefore0 contributionsStunning views and amazing guide. This trip was the most memorable one. I see Georgia in a very different light. I saw its stunning views and historical sites. My guide Vaska was very friendly and really helpful. I highly recommend going in this trip, it’s a must to see the great Caucasus mountains. The lunch at the Rooms hotel was my favorite with breathtaking views, I couldn’t get over there beautiful views at every turn during this trip.Written 26 July 2023
- yusupovs0 contributionsSalame professional guide in Tbilisi. It was a great experience and emotions that I received and never forget. The impotence of the guiding work is in opening their country, city and culture to the new coming people. Salame is the person who did this in very right and simple way. She left an impression of a friend that I met in Tbilisi. Professional guide and good person Salame. Thanks and best regards! Recommended! ))Written 9 June 2023
- Almostafa B0 contributionsFantastic experience with a fantastic guideThis was a great experience with Vaska. He was extremely friendly and patient and I would highly recommend this trip especially including the hike to the frozen waterfall.Written 28 December 2022
- JacoRetief0 contributionsGreat day trip to Caucasus mountains and monasteries! We had a fantastic day out with Otto. He was on time friendly and very knowledgeable about all the places we visited. At the Jvari monastery we were there just before it opened and it made such a difference. Could really enjoyed standing inside and hearing the wing around the building. The Caucasus mountains was amazing today. We could appreciate the scenery. The lunch at Rooms hotel is highly recommended and Otto made great choices for our lunch. The private tour definitely makes a difference on what one can see and experience in one day and I would highly recommend it.Written 29 September 2022

- zimplyjay0 contributionsGreat trip to experienceMariam is my tour guide. She is a very nice person and very friendly. She showed and explained to us a lot of information. She helped to adjust the itinerary to fit with traffic and weather. It was a wonderful experience to have here. We are impressed!!Written 27 December 2019
- Visitingwithourgirls0 contributionsOrganic Wine Tour KakhetiWe heard amazing reviews of the wines made in Georgia and were excited to try the region wines. Our guide, Mariam, exceeded our expectations. She shared a small winery dedicated to maintaining the traditional Georgian method to make wine. The winery owner, Giorgi, shared his passion for keeping wtih tradition and made us feel like part of his family. Our next stop was just a short distance away from the first winery. Using the same grapes, grown in the same area, the wine was made using the European method. What an experience to compare and contrast how different the wines tasted. The lunch was absolutely fabulous set against the backdrop of the Caucasus Mountains. Our final winery uses the same grapes but they are grown in a different area. Again, a great comparasion to the different wineries. Mariam was highly knowledgeable and very personable. She welcomed us to her beautiful country and made us feel like we belonged.Written 10 November 2019
- Nandwanitina0 contributionsWonderful tripHas a wonderful time on this tour with Mr Zuka Bubunauri Lunch was amazing , the food and the view was just wonderful :-) You must book this tripWritten 8 November 2019
- agutow0 contributionsWonderful way to experience many organic wines! This is a great tour to experience many off-the-beaten path wineries that we would have never known about! Our guide, Zuka, was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the wine process. We got to meet many wonderful, local winemakers and even saw how a qvevri is made. Thank you for the fun and unique experience!Written 30 October 2019
- Jayanta B0 contributionsDay trip Gudauri and KazbegiIt was an excellent and very enjoyable trip we had on 27 October. My special Tkanks to our guide & driver (Mariam) for her excellent tour conducting capacity and very friendly customer oriented dealings. Hope to meet again in near future. Thanks and regards JK BhattacharyaWritten 27 October 2019
- jadeyu410 contributionsRecommended private day tourDriver-guide arrived our hotel on time. He speaks good English and is helpful. Itinerary is exactly the same as described. Tour started from 9am till 7:30pm.(Target end time is 6pm but we had delay due traffic jam) BMW is comfortable. Lunch at Rooms Hotel is one of the highlight of the trip. Unfortunately all tables are occupied by others. Also, having our meal with the guide is a bit awkward. View are good but we believe it will be much stunning in winter.Written 17 October 2019
- ashwinvasuki0 contributionsFab Trip! Our guide Nika started us off on a well paced tour of this part of his country. The road trip in itself was an adventure, with many hidden gems along the way. The views at Gudauri and Kazbegi are phenomenal. And the traditional Georgian lunch at Rooms is a delightful indulgence.Written 16 September 2019
- Yaron G0 contributionsPerfect hiking expreinceAll logistics aspects, organizing the trip, pick up etc. were flawless. Our guide Nodar was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and great company. Excellent English. The route was beautiful, scenic and quiet. Some narrow passages in the Kenyon as well as the last climb “up the wall” provided the necessary thrill. We started with cloudy weather and drizzle. While up there it cleared. The end was rushing back to the car in heavy rain and lots of laughs. In between we had light tasty lunch, including the mandatory Khatchapuri. All added up to lovely experience.Written 5 August 2019
- Jan_in_Oslo0 contributionsVery nice day trip.We were guided by Nika on our trip and had a fantastic day thanks to him and all the sights on the way. The old military road across the mountain is almost worth the tour in itself, although traffic can be quite heavy in certain spots. Because of all the hours in the car it was great having a safe and knowledgeable driver like our guide.Written 31 July 2019

Our day with Miriam was simply delightful. She was a joy to talk to during the car ride to learn about Georgian culture. Every stop we made and every person we met made us feel like we had known them for years. The wine was wonderful, as was the home cooked meal. We even ended up in a supra when we stopped for some coffee at the beautiful mountain pass. I could not have asked for a more pleasant and unforgettable experience!

Great tour! We came to Georgia for the wine and we were really happy with the tour. Our guide, Mariami, did a great job--ensuring the day ran smoothly, everything was understood, and packing in plenty of insight re Georgia! The wines were a real treat, truly a unique tasting experience. Well worth the time and money. Recommended!

Great trip. The wineries were chosen for their love of sustainability and their care for the wine, the land, and their country. Nick was a kind and informative guide. It felt like we were getting a VIP tour of Georgia’s best.

What a Day! Vaska was our Guide and we could not expecting someone better! All our expectations for this day have been definitely exceeded! The Nature, The Wine , the Food, the Company , the amazing Atmosphere have made this Trip unforgettable for us. Vaska knows a lot about organic Wine himself and give us a lot of Information’s additionally to the introductions we got at the winery's. The traditional way, how a Georgian Wine gets produce, is a MUST to know, for everyone who calls them self a "wine connoisseurs" ! ...in this case and of course in the case that you're a "food lover" or a "nature Lover" ;) Thanks @ Vaska for the fantastic Day!

A few friends and I participated in this wine tour recently and were not disappointed. Our Guide, Vaska was full of great information and very connected with the regional practices, customs, and techniques associated with Georgian wines and Cha Cha. The scenery was beautiful and we were able to have great conversations with a number of wine makers who explained the history of their wines and vineyards. The authentic Georgian cuisine was excellent and much needed after multiple (samplings) of Cha Cha. We absolutely recommend this tour.

A must do if you’re into food, wine or organic agriculture. You enjoy great scenery, food and wine. The best part was meeting and taking with the passionate wine makers directly (you can’t get that experience visiting a large , Shumi-like, winery)
We enjoyed the drive to Kakheti where Vaska explained the history of the Georgian wine and he current industry scene. It was clear that he and the wineries he visits on the tour are passionate about nature, sustainable and organic practices and preserving tradition while improving quality
Expect 3 main stops (depends on session) but the ones we did were:
- VELLINO’s: was great meeting the young wine maker Beke. Tried the white, rose and Saperavi
- Okro's Wines: this is a caller/restaurant nice traditional lunch with exceptional view on the Signagi town, and Alazany valley
- GHVARDZELASHVILI'S: George was a great host :)

I had a fantastic day with Mariam, my driver and guide to the Kakheti region of Georgia. I was interested in trying some of Georgia's more unique, small batch wines, and this trip delivered. We stopped at three different wineries, all of which were wonderful in their one unique way, from meeting a winemaker in Kondoli Village to a tasting room/restaurant at a larger winery to a lovely terrace overlooking the charming town of Sighnaghi. My guide was a great driver navigating the sometimes heavy traffic we encountered on our way back to Tbilisi. Plus, I enjoyed being able to converse with a local Georgian and learn more about her perspective on its culture and history. It was a great day and a fantastic way to spend my last day in Georgia!

Our guide picked us up punctually and we drove by the scenic mountain route to Kakheti. Our first stop was an organic winery. Georgian wines are made by fermenting the crushed grape skins and stems with the juice in qvevris, huge earthenware vats. We then went to another nearby winery for lunch and then to Sighnaghi for a last tasting. The whole tour took almost ten hours but was really informative and fun

We are in Tbilisi and want to see the Kakheti region on Wednesday this week. We will stay in Sighnaghi for two nights. We would like to visit Telavi & see sights between Sighnaghi & Telavi (monasteries, etc.)
Would you have a guide for such a tour? We would leave our Tbilisi hotel around 11 am Wednesday. Maybe a total of 4-5 hours? What would the cost be?
