- danielleoX8255AP0 contributionsArmenia in winterThis was a well-organized tour. The guide (Tota) and driver (Gocha) were highly professional. Tota was very well-informed. The lunch at Anoush's Guest House was delicious - I recommend paying extra for the pomegranate wine. It was a bit chilly outside, but the van was warm. I suggest buying Armenian brandy (Ararat brand) at the shop you go to past the border. The 10-year brandy was delicious.Written 10 December 2024

Thank you to Deme and Mr Gocha for an amazing experience. Deme answered all our questions and his knowledge was amazing as we traversed the many monasteries, each unique in their own way. - heidibE5980MZ0 contributionsThe opportunity to learn about wine while drinking wine with people who love wine…I thought, after four fabulous tours with Gamarjoba I was done, but no! I was invited by Gio the manager to a lecture on wine with tastings. And by tastings I mean five almost full glasses. It was interesting, fun and free! But if you have a chance to go to this informative event please leave a nice tip. Matter of fact always tip your guides! They work hard so we go home with lasting memoriesWritten 3 December 2024

This excellent day tour out of Tbilisi by Gamarjoba Georgia Tours blended a nice relaxing day of tasting traditional clay pot wines and traditional Georgian bread, with sharing experiences with my fellow travelers (there were 4 of us) and our excellent guide, George Turkadze.
The visits to wineries and to the bread making village were pretty informative, but for me, the highlight of the day was having lunch at the restaurant above the winery, not just because of the great food, but because it gave us all a chance to talk about Georgian culture, food and history.
We also visited the monastery of St. Nino (I thought it was particularly interesting to watch parishioners interact with St. Nino's grave) and the town of Sighnaghi (which I thought was less interesting but was also at the end of a long day that had a good deal of wine).
Lunch and the cost of wine tasting at the second winery (10GEL for 2 wines) was an additional cost. Entry into the wine cave and wine tasting at the first winery were included in the tour cost.
i think the chemistry of this tour group was excellent and credit is due to George for helping bring out the best of our group.

I have done this tour Kakheti the wine region with the amazing tour guide Giorgi Meg from Gamarjoba company.
To be honest, we usually b afraid when we book tour in foreigner country without local friend or family member. However, with Gamarojoba team you will always feel home. I have done two tours with them, they always welcome you to their office with big smile, music, coffee/tea and water.
You will meet your tour guide and start you tour sharp at 9.
If you planning to do same tour Kakheti:
1. Your first stop at KTWinery, staff are amazing they will explain everything and better you buy wine from them.
2. Your main stop will be Khareba Winery, my Adv not to try much wine as it’s expensive.
You have to wait for 20 mins when you have lunch in same place can drink as much as you want wiz cheaper price.
Our tour guide Giorgi Meg gave us so much information supported with pictures for traditional wine making.
If you visit Georgia, you must deal with Gamarojoba. “ I came with different tour operator and I change to Gamarojoba coz of price and service level”.

Gamarjorba Georgia Tour agency, hands down, is one of best to deal with in Tbilisi and even Georgia for that matter. From the professionalism to their helpful attitude, the staff are consistently checking in on you to make sure you’re comfortable. And that too whilst managing a crazy amount of bookings every day!
I did a Kakheti Wine tour with a group and our tour guide, Beka, was an absolute gem. The guy is a pool of knowledge so be prepared to listen to some amazing facts, anecdotes and history from him.
The tour started off at sharp 9am. The meeting point itself is a brilliant safe space - everyone is super friendly so you don’t really feel like you’re going with strangers. The transport was immaculate, comfortable 17 seater van with no issues whatsoever ever. Whilst I’m writing this, temperatures in Tbilisi and surrounding areas was upto 41 degrees Celsius so it was insanely hot. The car was always air-conditioned and the driver was amazing i.e., always on time to pick us up where he dropped us off.
Our first stop was St. Nino’s monastery that was a must do. The views from here are beyond compare. Stayed here for a good 30 mins and then aquick drive down and we reached Signaghi aka the city of love where we walked around for a bit and then made our way to the restaurant where, I kid you not, we had the freshest food and the best wine. The table was already laid out when we walked in and this is all because of coordination from the tour agency, Beka and the restaurant management. Basically we didn’t have to wait for food and what we had been sold (a great lunch for a bit extra), we got and I’m glad we opted for it.
We then made our way to the first winery inside a mountainside which was spectacular. Had a fairly quick tasting there and then moved onto the next winery where we had the majority of our tastings. The history in these places is beyond compare and Beka/the winery guides were brimming with knowledge so it was a really informative tour. I don’t think there was anyone in our group who didn’t end up buying wine from the winery so you can well imagine how amazing it was.
I’m writing this on the way back so we’re about 30 mins from Tbilisi and it’s 8.49pm. Be prepared to spend a fun 12 hours with the best wine, amazing food and the best tour guide. And if you’re having second thoughts on booking this tour or any other tour with Gamarjoba Georgia Tours, do yourself a favour and don’t over think it. These guys are truly the best of the best.
Attaching a few pictures as a glimpse what is to come, unless otherwise changed.

We had great day of wine tour, visited 3 wineries and a church. we were tasting wines whole day and bough many of wines as the prices/quality is great. David the guide was great, fun guy and well entertained the trip , thanks again David!!
I’d recommend this wine day tour to anyone if the wine tasting is one of the reason that you are visiting Georgia.
PS. We had a nice lunch too. Come like a feast, many foods and wines of course.

We booked this tour through Trip Advisor. We rocked up at the Metro starting point and found the account manager easily. Our tour guide was Beka who was a brilliant guide. We left just after 9am and after all getting to know each other on the minibus, we got to the first winery just before 10am. We tried five wines there, then went onto get some bread, cheese and tomatoes for brunch. Next we went to a great look out point over Sighnaghi before heading to the church in the town. Beka gave us an overview of the history before we had some free time to explore. We then headed to a restaurant and ordered food and explored the fortress while our lunch was made. Beka had brought some extra wine for us to try as well. We then headed to two more wineries and both had tours included or we could pay a few gel to have tastings again.
The tour took the whole day and we packed a lot in which was great. Beka was a brilliant guide - he answered all our questions, made sure we all knew each other and helped us to share photos. We did the tour on a Sunday and Beka had told us that the traffic back to Tbilisi can be bad on Sunday evenings - it meant we arrived back a little later than planned; my advice would be to either expect the tour to take a whole day, or consider doing it on another day than Sunday. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend this as it’s great value and packed a lot in.

Gamarjoba tours are amazing! We did 6 of their day tours with them in a week exploring Georgia and we saw all the main sights and learnt so much about this beautiful country. They are extremely professional and helped to organise an itinerary that worked perfectly for the time we had.
Zura, our customer coordinator was brilliant and was always available to help if we had any questions or needed any assistance. All our trips started exactly on time and he even helped us make reservations for the best places to eat in Tblisi.
The guides are all enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and speak excellent English (special thanks to our guide Magda who’s walking tour of Tblisi was especially excellent). On the day trips the vehicles used are really comfortable and the drivers are very professional (special thanks to driver Niko baba who always found the best and fastest route around any traffic jams).
Overall we highly recommend Gamarjoba tours and would definitely use them again! Thank you so much for making out trip to Georgia so wonderful!

Baya their product manager always ensuring that their guests/tourists are well kept informed before the trip. She is friendly with good customer service skills. Beka is the best tour guide they have. He is very warm, knowledgeable, thoughtful, gentleman, intelligent, lively and keeping everyone safe, well entertained and most of all I can see that he enjoys and love what he is doing. It resonates how he is handling the group and share the facts and stories for each destinations we went through. Big kudos to him. He is a very passionate tour guide you’ll ever meet. The little George from Kazbegi is also good. He seems that he knows a lot and always keeping us well taking care of as well. He is also knowledgeable and knows what he is saying. Both Beka and George from Kazbegi speaks very fluent English, so you can easily understand their narration. Thanks for looking after all of your tourist/guests and for the amazing experience we had. Thanks to your team and Rani for being nice and hospitable as well. He prepares me coffee every morning before the tour. He is one of the share holder in the company. The whole team has a positive energy. You’ll surely have a blast with their tour packages👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😊😊😊

We absolutely loved everything about this tour, definitely one I would recommend to anyone, even if you aren’t an avid wine drinker, the atmosphere and locations are itself, enough of a reason to go on this tour.
The bus was comfortable and the drive was not too long like some other tours. Our guide, Mariam, was simply the best tour guide, she was enthusiastic, helpful and very knowledgable, she even showed us some Georgian traditional dancing! We had children on our tour but she made sure to include them and they had fun!
The wine and lunch were fantastic and the ride back was an absolute party! We were very fortunate to have a great guide and a great group! Thank you!

The wine tour with Georgi was amazing. He was super friendly, and very accommodating with all our needs as a group. His friendly attitude and music taste made him an excellent guide on our wine tour. The wine tour itself was really good, we got introduced to really good wines, (Gourd based), saw mountains that seem out of a fairy tale and had lots of fun on our bus ride, singing songs and singing guitars!

We did the Kakheti wine region trip with Gigi and we can not fault our tour or Gigi himself. From the start he was very entertaining and his whole delivery of the tour was very captivating. Gigi was very passionate from start to finish and ensured everyone felt comfortable and was enjoying the trip along the way. The tour was fascinating and we didn’t just learn about the history of Georgian wine making, but about the history of the region too. Gigi was great at getting everyone involved and made sure he bought together those who were also travelling solo. The tour was very relaxed and there was the perfect balance between learning and having fun. We would highly recommend Gamarjoba tours to anyone who visits Georgia, it is amazing value for money and the tour guides we have had on each trip have been priceless.
