Overview
Get an in-depth insight in Bogotá's oldest and most eclectic district on this guided tour of La Candelaria. Your guide points out some of the most interesting street art as you walk to a chicha bar to learn about the local alcoholic beverage, then you head to a local market to taste of some of the nation’s unique fruits. Also visit cafés for insight into Colombian coffee and coca leaves, and to the Plaza del Rosario and Plaza Simón Bolivar.
What to Expect

The tour starts at 10am or 2pm at Chorro de Quevedo. After a short getting-to-know-each-other activity, you will be off to explore downtown. The first stop will be right next to El Chorro de Quevedo, where you can have an insightful exploration of the city's graffiti culture and the country's indigenous past. Then, proceed to a chicha bar to explore the history of this interesting alcoholic beverage.

The next stop is at a local market to have a taste of some of the nation’s unique fruits. After the fruit and juice tasting, stop at a small café and learn all about coca-leaf tea and its benefits. Re-energized, the tour moves on to the Plaza del Rosario, the core of the capital's emerald trade. Head to Plaza Simón Bolivar, stopping along the way for your guide to explain some of the city's colorful history.

After sightseeing in the Plaza, make your way back towards the starting point of the tour and make a final stop at a café to learn all that makes Colombian coffee special!
