Visit the salt mines and learn about their significance to Colombia, plus witness the salt collection process. Then, discover the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral, carved into the walls of an abandoned mine. Enjoy the flexibility of exploring with a private guide, in a group, or on your own.
What to Expect

After being picked up at either your hotel or your chosen pick-up spot, head to the Zipaquirá Salt Mine by vehicle.

Once there, depending on the tour option selected, listen to an audio guide (available in seven languages), take guided tours in Spanish or English, or enjoy a fully guided private tour.

Learn about the salt formation and mining processes, as well as the economic, cultural, and historic impact of salt to Colombia. Plus, explore the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral, an underground Catholic church carved into the subterranean walls of a salt mine.

At the end of the tour, you are returned to your original Bogota pickup location.
