Bethlehem Jericho Qumran Dead Sea Day Tour from Jerusalem
US$ 89.00
Overview
Visit four of Israel’s ancient sites on a full-day tour from Jerusalem to Bethlehem, Jericho, Qumran, and the Dead Sea. Explore Biblical history and the site where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered (optional), then visit a private beach on the Dead Sea to enjoy hyper-saline water and mineral-rich mud. This tour includes transport from Jerusalem in an air-conditioned minivan.
What to Expect
Make your way to a central location in Jerusalem for 7:30am departure to Bethlehem, the historic birthplace of Jesus. Stop for a guided tour of the city—starting early means that you’ll get to visit the main sites before the busiest times of day—and see the Church of the Nativity, a UNESCO-listed church originally commissioned by Constantine the Great.

Continue to Jericho, the lowest city on Earth, and take a guided tour of the city and the Mount of Temptation, the traditional site of Jesus' temptation in the Book of Matthew. From Jericho drive to Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered between 1946 and 1956. The visit to the Dead Sea scrolls site is optional and at your own expense, and you’ll also have free time to buy lunch onsite.

The final stop of the day is at a private beach by the Dead Sea: try floating in the super-dense water, cover yourself in therapeutic mud, and enjoy the desert sunshine by the shore. After your time on the beach, make the return trip to Jerusalem, where this tour concludes at 4:30pm.

Great tours of places of religious awe, archeological wonder, and natural beauty

Bethlehem, Jericho, and Qumran were all such fascinating sites to visit, and combined they give a sense of the biblical and natural history and the long back-story to modern Israel, and the peoples and cultures that live in the region now. By afternoon, our heads...More

A well-organized trip to the heart of Izrael with an excellent driver-guide

This trip is well thought out and very well organized. While leaving Jerusalem, our driver explained the complex political and social situation situation in Israel. In Bethlehem we had an accomplished young man who explained what needs to be known about the place where Jesus...More
