          Tour director was wonderful!
Our director, Tomer, went out of his way to make our experience great. He has wonderful energy, and was extremely accommodating and kind like all the Israeli’s I’ve experienced. I was skeptical before the tour because I had booked one earlier in the week where they forgot to pick me up and that I was never contacted by the tourdirector to apologize or even explain:( I would recommend this tour but I will say we needed more time at the museum. Bring water, and cash if you want souvenirs and of course, for tipping!

          Jerusalem Tour Option
Very informed guide and it was well organized with good quality for the cost. Pickup and drop off was easy. 3 of my other Nazareth, Jericho and Bethlehem tours were canceled so buyer beware if the group has less than 4 people as the tour will be canceled. They refund your money quickly within the week for me, which I greatly appreciated. Good luck

I really enjoyed the trip! The guide Eyal was very provident and professional! I Learned a lot about the places we passed by. We went through the sites without any hurry. The things were explained in an very eupeptic manner. Although we passed through the Westbank in summer 2024, there was no impression of any danger on the way. Local people we found where very kind at all places. The stay at the beach was about 1.5h, enough to enjoy this extraordinary place. Thanks for a very nice trip!

          Jerusalem in a rush
It was a really nice trip! The guide Abu Shai was very professional, a history professor giving courses in US universities, as he stated. And indeed a lot of historical background was given beyond the facts about the sites we visited. Furthermore information was always intended to be in a consistent (not always religious) context. I really enjoyed the discussions. Unfortunately, we went through Jerusalem with a great portion of hurry, not really giving us time to rest and contemplate as I would have preferred for such a magic place on earth. People were also told to don't stop at any stall or photographic site except the ones we were told by the guide. The excuse was that we had to pass by so many places in the given time frame. Finally we finished the tour in around 6 hours. Anyway I learned a lot and enjoyed what I found. Thanks

Unforgettable Masada and Dead Sea Adventure!
This "Masada and the Dead Sea Day Trip from Tel Aviv" was incredible! The convenience of hotel pickup and drop-off, combined with comfortable air-conditioned travel, made the journey stress-free. Our guide's detailed explanations at Masada were enlightening, enhancing our appreciation of this historic site. Floating in the Dead Sea was a surreal experience, with optional therapeutic treatments available. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Israel!

          Trip of a lifetime!
Avi was our driver and tour guide. Easy efficient pick up and drop off. This was a 'return' trip for me after 53 years. Avi made the trip live up to all my expectations and more. We covered the Sea Level pit stop on the way down to the rift valley from Jerusalem. The cable car ascent of Masada and Avi gave us just the right depth of insight without any stress or rush. Then our time at Kalil Beach for our float in the Dead Sea and our self-pasting with Dead Sea mud was the best! A once in a lifetime experience not to be missed. It was a humbling honour to be blazing the trail for the return of tourism to Israel after the devastation wrought on 7 October 2023.

Great tour and amazing tour guide
This trip was the highlight of my time in Israel. Itamer was an amazing tour guide- his knowledge of history, Israel, and the Bible all fused to make this trip really memorable. All the sites we visited were amazing, there was ample time at each one but it didn’t feel like we were there for too long, and Itamer did a great job conducting the tour in multiple languages for different people. He truly cared about each person having a great experience. Visiting Jesus place where he grew up and did most of his ministry was truly incredible and the price for the tour was great. If you go, download what’s app because they will communicate with you that way for the pick up and drop off.

Interesting tour for a very brief overview of Jerusalem, I did the full day but am sure that I have barely scratched the surface of the city’s rich culture and history. Our guide AVI was great at answering questions and gave an insightful tour. It was very basic and very much a beginners guide to Jerusalem teaching us basic facts predominantly about the history of the Christian/Jewish Faiths & the country of Israel.
There were about 30/35 people on the tour a handful of whom were travelling alone. The guide didn’t have a microphone so the tour isn’t for people who are hard of hearing.
Make sure you are able to walk a lot and are wearing comfortable footwear because it’s 90% a walking tour, up and down steps, stairs and slopes. I did the tour on Shabbat so no photos of the Jewish holy sites but other than that was glad that it wasn’t mega busy. I would recommend this trip especially if you have no knowledge of the history/religious history but don’t expect great detail about the various historical hypothesis or the details. It’s a very brief overview, perfect if you’re trying to get a spot of sightseeing into a work trip etc.

Two big flaws to my experience:
        • Bus transfers were chaotic
        • Recommended food/gift shop were a rip off!!

        Suggestions:
        • Comfortable shoes w/good grip
        • BYO food/drinks and spend lunch exploring the market
        • If going back to Herzilya, get your own way from too/from Tel Aviv.

Overall, this is a great low/mid budget option for a whistle-stop tour of Jerusalem that will hopefully leave the curious amongst you craving more! Very convenient, for those in hotels in Jerusalem/Tel Aviv who will get a much smoother door-to-door service than I experienced. Almost 12 hours of entertainment for $100, in Israel? I can’t complain!

Thank you for sharing your experience with Bein Harim Tours. Indeed it is a great option for those who want a basic overview of the city's rich culture and history. And we are glad to hear that your tour guide Avi, provides you with his knowledge and professional skills. It's important to note that catering to large groups of people can be a logistic challenge, and the restaurant choice is often limited to accommodate everyone's preferences and dietary requirements. Additionally, the gift shops we work with are certified businesses that provide guarantees to the clients. Overall, it's great to hear that you enjoyed the tour and found it to be a convenient and affordable option. Thank you for your honest feedback and recommendations, which will undoubtedly help others planning to visit Jerusalem.

This is a group tour and it takes most of the day to complete. Our guide was Itamar - he did a good job and he was easy to understand. The tour is not a private tour (obviously), so you may be traveling with a fairly large group. We started the tour by being picked up at a designated stop and we then went to an overlook area above Jerusalem where we met the rest of our group and Itamar. Itamar explained the city's layout and we then proceeded into the old city. The tour concluded by visiting Yad Vashem (a museum focused on the holocaust), which is part of the "new city." This tour is a good option if you are OK with group tours.

After 1.5 years of traveling the world and a lot of tours, I have to say that this was by far the worst. We booked the tour in German and Jakob was our guide.
At the beginning of the day, our bus was relatively punctual and the pick-up went smoothly. From the last pick-up point, we were then driven to a restaurant where the groups were then distributed to their correct buses. At around 8:45 a.m., there was an initial briefing on the tour and the city and at 9:15 a.m. the tour started.
You drive towards the old city and skip the Mount of Olives and the Garden of Gethsemane, which are listed as the first point in the official description of the tour. So you just have to be content with the view as you drive past.
During the tour through the city, we were given vague statements here and there about places and things in the city. Questions were often answered with counter-questions or "funny" comments and thus rarely led to a satisfactory result. In general, we had the feeling that our guide was not at all interested in answering our questions or in knowing whether he had answered them clearly. Often, everyone in the group just looked at each other in confusion. Once, a waitress nearby overheard a question and kindly answered it in a way that we could understand, as our guide was unable to do so. We were dropped off at several locations for certain periods of time and, with luck, we found out what to expect at that location. Shortly before noon, we went to a souvenir shop that tried to woo us with a 50% discount because we were a tour member. This was just a scam, the shop was outrageously overpriced. In the shop opposite, we found the same souvenirs for more than half the price, and that was before any discount was added. For lunch, we went to the Panoramic Restaurant. The view and the prices there are actually OK. From there, the group split up and other people joined our group. The whole thing ended in a huge organizational hustle and bustle. The new people in our group only spoke English and from there on our guide started a wild "real-time translation".
The focus seemed to be on English, which is actually his strength. Not a problem for us but I think it would be unacceptable for some people who specifically book a German tour. In any case, we didn't go home any wiser than before and the rest of the group felt the same in many respects.
Absolutely not recommended and really sad.

We sincerely apologize for any disappointment or confusion you experienced during our tour and deeply regret any misunderstandings. To clarify, the Mount of Olives is not included in this tour, and the Garden of Gethsemane is only passed by from the bus. Additionally, the shop stops, including bathroom facilities, are standard in our group tours. Please be assured that no one is obligated to make any purchases during these stops, and we collaborate with certified businesses to ensure the quality of the products offered. We hope you'll consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a more satisfying tour experience in the future.

The tour guide was great. The cities of Jerusalem and Bethlehem are beautiful. But the arrangements by the tour operator Bein Harim was terrible. There was a lot of confusion in the morning regarding which bus we had to take. Also at lunch time they hold you hostage - because you are in West Bank’s Palestine Controlled area (Bethlehem). American citizens are not allowed to roam around without a guide - so they take you to the most terrible restaurant, and insist that you pay €20 for the most crappiest meal of your life. Disgusting food and Dirty bathrooms Stay away from Bein Harim tours anywhere in Israel! We had a terrible experience.

Sorry that this was the nature of your experience. It is clear what you experienced in Bethlehem (clearly you state the West Bank etc). The restaurant is only less than an hour of the whole tour. Pity you only mentioned this as the main issue you had. None of our travelers wander off independently to get their meals on any of our tours. You are not forced to eat, but it is a tourist restaurant that caters to groups. All travelers on all our tours are welcome to bring their own packed meals. We certainly do not force anyone to eat at the locations we stop at that cater for groups and those who do want to eat. Clearly you were not fully aware that you could do this. You can hardly think that this is what taints our excellent reputation, even on this platform, and your unkind words are only a reflection of your particular 1 hour restaurant experience, and not of the hundreds who travel with us daily and share their utmost satisfaction.

I'm writing this on the way back to Tel Aviv from the Jerusalem Old and New City Tour. The level of prejudice from our tour guide was disgusting. Degrading and stereotypical comments about Palestinian's and Muslims throughout the tour, ended up with multiple arguments between the tourists and the guide, with one couple quitting the tour early because they'd had enough of his provocative and prejudice comments.

I've put that at the top so it doesn't get missed. So if you want to read about the rest of this terrible tour, see below. The tour started badly with a rude bus driver who refused to say whether I was getting on the right bus, followed by the company rep defending his attitude. We're then driven 15 minutes to swap buses to head to Tel Aviv. Throughout the journey to the viewing cafe provocative comments about Jordan were being made by the guide. This was followed by insulting all Palestinians intelligence as we headed to the old city.

He bypassed vast swathes of the city, even the parts specifically listed on the tour 'Via Dolarosa' which was almost completely ignored. Many of the tour, listened to other nearby guides or relied on Google to learn. It was also a group of 30 people, so the few times he had anything to say, it was hard to hear anyway. In addition to it being in two languages, (English and German) so everything was repeated. I think that's why it's a full day tour because everything we did could have been completed by 1pm if it wasn't for the repetition. To be picked up at 7am and in all likelihood, return 12 hours later, the tiny amount you see and learn about Jerusalem is pathetic.

You're prevented from going into any other shop besides the one with the huge mark up. Selling small souvenirs for $48 and then taking you to another tourist trap restaurant for lunch. We had the same amount of time in the souvenir shop as we did in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (25 mins)!

It was after this that the arguments start. Another comment about Muslims was made and one of the group had heard enough, she was backed up by a number of us on the tour and the guide got defense and started arguing back.

As we left Jaffa gate, he made a sarcastic comment to the lady again and the arguments started for a second time. It was at this point, one couple left the tour and demanded to get their bags from the bus. I would have joined if I wasn't heading back to Tel Aviv.

We're now heading back to Jaffa gate as the taxi that was 'organised' for some of our group didn't show up so we're stuck in rush hour traffic and therefore expecting a late return.

A completely unprofessional setup, living on name rather than quality of experience. It's unacceptable to go on a tour and have politically motivated, prejudice and stereotypical commentary throughout. You have tourists from around the world listening and learning, you should take that opportunity to spread a positive message and profess community but instead our guide chose to showcase his prejudice and rudeness.

        Embarrassing!

We are most regretful that this was the nature of your experience. We have taken the matter up with the guide. He will file a report regarding what you have mentioned. Judging by this platform it certainly is not the norm for our highly experienced team of guides. You have mentioned many details about his manner. He will answer. Logistics are often the complex parameter of group tours. Traffic, however much we try to avoid is a countrywide phenomenon since Covid. Fact, not an excuse. Again we apologize that this was the nature of your experience. It certainly is not what we wish our travelers to go away with. Sincerely, Bein Harim team

I attended the one day Old and New Jerusalem Full day tour with the fantastic tour guide Avi Tsaba - Bein Harim tourism Services.
It was my second day tour around Jerusalem and I have to say his tour was better and throughly enjoyable. Avi new his history and facts and was clearly knowledgable on the City old and new. He was able to communicate his knowledge in an engaging and interesting way and I enjoyed his company. It was a packed day and lots to see and take in. Avi was great fun and managed to support those who were a little slower to keep up and gathered the group together in a timely way. I also made great friends along the way and as a bonus, I noticed that Avi was able to communicate in different languages which also added to the enjoyment and inclusivity of the group. I highly recommend this tour and guide - Avi and if you want a genuine local person who knows their history and will make the day fund and engaging - choose this tour and hope that you get Avi Tsaba as your guide. Enjoy this beautiful city!

We had a wonderful day touring Old and New Jerusalem! Because of the thorough itenarary, we got to explore a big chunk of the city, and to experience many different cultures and religions, all in close proximity. Whether you are religious or not, it will definetly be worth the trip. Our guide, Aaron Garcia, was very knowledgable, humorous and passionate concerning the history of Jerusalem, which also made the tour all the more interesting and rewarding. All in all, you should definetly do the tour, if you really want to get a feel of the city, and truly want to understand the complex history and importance of the place.

Avi is an excellent guide, and very knowledgeable. Having to translate two languages and maintain a large crowd can only be stressful and he did that very well.
My issue is that we felt like we were running everywhere, with no time to really stop and ask questions or take many pictures without the risk of falling behind in the group.
I also wish we had more freedom to visit shops or choose where to eat. I was not impressed with the one restaurant we were able to go to. Jerusalem is full of amazing food, we should have been given options.

Dear Edav, Thanks so much for the compliments for Avi, an experienced and highly skilled guide. It is not easy to set an optimal pace for an entire group. But we will mention him to be more aware and accommodating for photo ops etc. Regarding restaurants, it is a huge logistic issue to allow travelers to wander off alone to get their meals. It completely disrupts the schedule (as obviously more time is needed). We are trying our best to provide stops where there are clean available bathrooms as well as the ability to cater to groups. Yes, Jerusalem is a culinary high stop but this needs to be done individually and is definitely not possible when we are on a highlight tour schedule in a group. Not all travelers wish to go off alone to get their meals, feeling safer, secure (Old CIty is a labyrinth of alleyways), and connected to a group. An issue to be considered... Sincerely, Bein Harim team

Ruben is an amiable guide and passionate about his work. He is well-educated individual, carefully applying his knowledge to provide the best experience to his followers. I was very impressed with his ability to communicate in several different languages. He has mastered his trade, so that every individual that has questions, Ruben welcomes them, and easily answers them to their satisfaction. I would definitely recommend him for you upcoming travel! In addition, Ruben takes his time on tours and will provide a surprise to you as well should you have the time to ask! My review is a 10 out of 10!
