We booked the SL9 Full day tour. It was a fabulous tour. Our guide, Burak, was professional with a good sense of humour. He also demonstrated great knowledge. Unfortunately I can't remember the bus driver's name but he was good and we felt safe with him. With a decent lunch included in the price, it was worth every single cent. Do be prepared for a long day, 13+ hours in total. Thank you to Azmi Bouabana for recommending it.

We used Azmi Bey for the entire Turkey itinerary and he was amazing. His tour company is called Sultanahmet Old City Travel and they are FANTASTIC!! Azmi is very fun to plan with and made our holiday so very memorable!!!!

It was just an excellent planning of our trip by plane from Istanbul to Kayseri and Goreme. Had a magnificent balloon ride at Capadocia and whole day tour with lunch. Night bus to Pamukkale and whole day tour again with lunch then back to Istanbul at night with transfers included!! Just a wow experience!! I highly recommend this company!! Truely well planned itineraries with on time greeters, professional guides and close WhatsApp follow-up from the company!

To be honest, you can do without visiting this place. Nothing is included other than the travel and lunch. There will be extra costs for zip line, cable car and quad bikes. It was a long day with not much to do. If you do not fancy one of the above activities, you simply have to wait untill the others are done.

Our travel agent Huseyin Tas from Old City Travel in Istanbul put an itinerary together for us that included the magical experience of a beautiful balloon ride! We were picked up from our hotel at 4:50 am and had the experience of a lifetime with another 80 balloons in the air! The landscape is stunning and sculptural. Don’t miss it while in Turkey!

Cappadocia is indeed a fantastic destination with its unique landscapes, cave hotels, and cultural attractions. From exploring the fairy chimneys to taking ATV rides, there are plenty of exciting things to do and see ,It was have quite an experience exploring the Love Valley, pigeon houses, and the underground city the ATV ride added an extra touch of adventure and Cold weather in December 2023 made the trip even more magical. The weather was windy so we couldn't fly in the hot hair balloon ride but the same was arranged by our tour in Pammukale. The tour guide always on time to pick us up from hotel and also very cheerful and welcoming. We had opportunity to participate in Fashion show at leather shop was fun and also we have visited many Turkish delight shops for free testing of sweets , coffee and various nuts. Long time waiting to go to Mont Nemrut. Everything was well organized by the Tour operator. They have picked me up from the hotel in Istanbul. The driver, Ramazan and the tour guide, Huseyin, were very nice and respectful. They have explained every detail of the history of the region. I went by plane to Adıyaman, the earthquake didn’t destroy the city. The hotel was clean, employees were very kind. Mesopotamia is a place with great history, the beginning of our civilization, I recommend to go to more cities like Urfa and Mardin

Everything was pretty much as advertised. However, having done the tour it just didn’t seem worth spending the whole day cooped up in a van for what was essentially a one hour tour around the small site at Troy. The food, stops along the way etc were nothing special. Confirming we left the hotel at around 6:30am and were back at 9:30pm. The drivers, guides and quality of the transportation were all good. I think you just have to really want to go to Troy.

Tour of Troy itself is great; nice to take the ferry. Only real way to do this in one day from Istanbul, I think. However, the driver on the way back made some strange choices like driving on an unpaved farm road rather than the clearly immediately visible highway to Istanbul. May have slowed us down, and we were running behind schedule then anyway. Rest stop on the way back was BAD— terrible food, some of the worst I’ve eaten anywhere in the world. I’m sure better options were available (Turkey has great food!). Also super unhelpful that the driver left us, the family with the young overtired child LAST to drop off, crisscrossing Sultanahmet several times before he dropped us off at 9:30PM. It would have been nice if an effort had been made to drop the tired kid and his tired parents off the roughly 30- minutes before when the first guests were dropped off just down the street (if we’d realized, we would have gotten out there and walked instead of crossing the bridge to over by the tower and then back to Sultanahmet for three more stops before we were the last ones to be dropped off), but we did not until it was too late. If you do this with a kid in tow, insist on being dropped off first…

Please do not waste your day or money on this tour. The boat that took us to the island had the most loud, ear aching music throughout the trip (to and from). The dj refused to change the music to accommodate most of its foreign tourists. They refuse to speak to you in English. They also charge you in dollars - so be careful. They have a young lady on board that casually comes to you and takes out photographs as if its free. Once she develops the photos, she brings it to you and asks for 90 USD! For a photo that can be taken out more professionally on your android cellphone. Once you get onto the island, the guide does not tell you anything about the significance on the island. When we asked why are we here, we were told you are here to take photos. Everywhere you walk, they bring along a man that sells you corn and nuts. you are then put in a spot were you are harassed to purchase. The guide that took our group was so unfriendly and arrogant that he ignored you when you had questions and continued playing candy crush on his phone. It was raining and we were just forced to stand in the rain for 2 hours taking photos. Do not waste you money on this trip. there is nothing to see except shop on the island. Its a trip created to support the businesses on the island. The staff on the boat were very rude and refused to communicate in English.

Can’t express the professionalism showed by the team at Old City Travels, Abdullatif was amazing and really broke down all the trips and what would be best to do as we were a family of 7. He looked after us with the prices and gave me and my family quality service at such a great price. Anyone that is thinking to come to istanbul and wants to experience the Turkish thrill, whether it’s going to places like supanca, the sophourus cruise for dinner, look no further. Thank you abdullatif for your hospitality, will definitely come back to istanbul and get everything done through you again.
