About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Hughes S0 contributionsA must experienceAbsolutely the best morning we have had. The driver Ebo was so much fun. Took amazing photos of us all and kept moving to ensure we had the best view. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.Written 13 November 2024
- alessandrotoni0 contributionsOne day of star of IstanbulToday we spent an amazing day in Instanbul with our driver Gökhan. This tour operator is the best, veheemently recommended! :)Written 1 July 2024
- elainelU3159AG0 contributionsGood operator which cares peopleI was helping my friends to organize a special tour in Southwest Turkey. Staffs and boss of Look Vacations are very cooperative and supportive whatever problems my friends had. They are so willing to communicate, understand the problem and try their best to rearrange and solve the problems. I'm happy that they are really taking care of the customers.Written 19 April 2024
- tedact0 contributionsGreat OptionWe choose to hire a guide for the tour company and guide. We did find that there was less to do in Bodrum than other ports. The choice was good to hire a guide and van. I would probably hire for a smaller amount of time. We were able to efficiently see many things rather than sign up on a cruise tour and see one thing. The van was very fancy and fun and the guide was good.Written 2 March 2024
- Rani C0 contributionsFree cancellation policy??😡Viator advertises as free cancellation but it’s not free! I was charged bank charges !!! How can this be FREE !!!!! I am trying all ways of communicating n there’s no replies So beware of their free cancellation policy. I cancelled more than 24 hrs before the event 😡😡😡😡😡Written 3 March 2023
- alicP1664UT0 contributionsSolo Turkey tripLook vacations was excellent. Communicated well, made me feel very taken care of. Service was excellent!Written 1 November 2022
- O4070WIadamm0 contributionsGreat flight. Misses the rock formationsBroadly very good but we took off in a field of thorns - and being a hot country everyone was in shirts/sandals so we all got scratches and burrs Big consideration: the balloon DOESNT fly over the famed rock formations. Only nearby. Or the end of the world but worth bearing in mind.Written 25 August 2022
- R6206QJcharliet0 contributionsHonest, Safe & AccomodatingFirst and foremost, Looks Vacations was incredibly honest with me. Second to that, the company is safe, at least it was while I was on its tour. Lastly, it went out of its way to show me everything I wanted to see...and I wanted to see a LOT more than your average tourist.Written 14 October 2020
- kellyd56780 contributionsWonderful tour in Istanbul and CappadociaOur tour of Istanbul and Cappadocia was amazing! It was the perfect blend of historic venues and beautiful natural sites. Our guide, Cemil, was incredibly knowledgeable and a lot of fun to spend time with. All of the transportation, accommodations, and overall communication were excellent. Recep took great care of us.Written 9 July 2019
- jwils1510 contributionsExceeded Expectations - Amazing Sites in Cappadocia and Istanbul! What an amazing trip! I had wanted to visit Turkey for a long time, but didn't know where to start. Recep made sure that we saw incredible natural sites (that have dominated my instagram and facebook profiles for weeks lol) while also navigating Turkey's rich and complicated history with an amazing guide, Chemil. We loved our guide so much we took him out to dinner and got drinks with him on the last day because we didn't want to see him go! Also the food was sooo good! Overall just an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend.Written 30 June 2019
- alyssambrady0 contributionsAmazing trip to Istanbul and CappadociaMe and my five friends took a trip to Istanbul and Cappadocia with Look Vacations. Four days in Istanbul and Two days in Cappadocia. We had the best time and saw everything we wanted to in Istanbul and Cappadocia. It was so easy to work with the company and they made it so easy for us - they handle five guests coming from three different countries so easily.Written 28 June 2019

We visited many historical places and it made me feel like we travel back in time! Overall the travel from one location to another is tiring, but it WAS WORTH IT. The tour guide (Hesna) is also very excellent in her job as she made us feel safe and secured throughout the journey.

In any tour of any country, the local tour guide can make or break your experience.
For our 9-day tour, we were fortunate that Look Vacations assigned one of their experienced tour guide extraordinaire Mr. Caner Kasapci who guided the tour seamlessly from town to town keeping the group tight, engaged and always safe.
Mr. Kasapci is very well educated in the history of the many ancient places of interest occupied and developed by the Greeks, the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman Empire. His detailed narrations of each and every site enthralled even the uninitiated. His thesis that animals died because they breathe the lower layer of heavy carbon dioxide whilst priests survived breathing the higher lighter layer of air in the Pluto’s Plutonium beneath the Temple of Apollo offer academic possibilities.
During the long hours on the bus, Mr. Kasapci entertained us with tales from Homer’s Iliad & Odyssey.
Through Mr. Kasapci’s passion of his beloved country, we learnt volumes of the past, present and future of Turkey and of the heroic life of the late His Excellency, President Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founding father of the Republic of Turkey.

Aras, Turkish guide from Look Vacations was knowledgeable with history, itinerary planning and food was great. Unfortunately, there were too much problems arising with his attitude towards pride and being profit oriented. First, he was late for 3 hours, he blamed it all on the flight which we can understand, however he was not apologetic about making us wait. In fact, he emphasized that there was no point blaming him. Everyone was tired and frustrated from the 11 hours flight, it was only after some of us spoke up which he then changed his attitude and apologized, but only for a moment.
Next, he mentioned about asking him any questions or problems that we may have, but always end up being short tempered and reluctant to help. Aras was unaccommodating towards questions related to planning and questions regarding our concerns. As a foreigner, we were sometimes taken aback towards some of his response. One example, he mentioned about doing a PCR test, in which my family were sold from our local agency that it was ART test and not PCR, hence we kindly approached Aras for the first time to clarify. He had a short temper, frowned, sighed and laughed at us, in which he replied in his on words, “It is not my fault and not my country’s problem, it is your country so you should ask your country, not me. You can do ART test if you like but if you can’t go back to Singapore, it’s not my fault, okay?”. There were no attempts to assist further, nor follow ups, we didn’t sense any empathy from him. Another instance on questioning Aras, we were supposed to have a last minute shopping at the grand bazaar on the last day, but he arranged for us to leave at 9am straight from the hotel to airport. One of the group members asked about probability of departure timing being too early on the date of flight, Aras as expected frowned, sighed and laughed like he always does. Instead of explaining the reason for doing so, he told everyone that he is the main guide, he is the one who decides itinerary, not us. He emphasized that he has 15 years experience, so there is no need to question his plans. He may be experienced, but having a short temper is not a good trait of a guide even though he tries not to show them. He is paid to answer questions. I have a recording of a part of his speech.
In terms of shopping, Aras brought us to a number of mandatory shopping locations, which upon check were tourist traps, mainly zultanite, fake branded goods, leather jackets, carpets, snacks souvenirs that were way overpriced with 2-4 times the price of shops in public, salesmen that were extremely pushy and caused us to be uncomfortable. We were locked in a space in nowhere and most did not allow us to leave without listening to the mandatory pitch. Some who had made purchase had regrets after learning the truth, we learnt about this during our conversations and walking around the street to find the same items with at least half the price tag, the so called certificates were invalid upon check, it was just a printed paper. The 6 mandatory shopping locations took up to 8 hours of our trip, which could have been used for rest or other leisures. Whenever we hear Aras telling us how precious the next shopping trip is going to be, we knew that he was a part of the trap, he simply spent too much time advertising those products in my opinion. Most of the information shared were untrue upon checking. I’ve also seen him speaking to those salesperson to inform them about who to target, it was very uncomfortable knowing that a guide was supposed to help us save money was involved in the scam. For instance, he mentioned that grand bazaar sold overpriced products, but upon checking in person they were much cheaper than the places he brought us to.
Back to the ART test, which the government announced on 1 April that everyone can do virtual ART test upon departure, Aras was extremely reluctant to let us follow through with the new regulations. I understand that Super Travels was worried for our safety, however Aras wasn’t, he was worried about losing 2 x $60USD, as well as other visitors that may follow suit can cause him to lose profits. It was easy for him to find out the right information, because after a lot of self checks and calls to turkey embassy, MFA and clinics, which they all said that we may be unnecessarily pressured by the turkey guide, Aras then told me that we simply needed to call Singapore airlines in turkey to get an accurate answer. And bear in mind, this was after a lot of persuasion from him plus all the stress from our end doing the pointless calls and checks. He used scare tactics multiple times on us, even during our 15 minutes Virtual ART test with the clinic, he asked us again to consider doing it with him or we may not go back to Singapore, which we rejected. Thereafter, he whispered to me to ask the cost of our test, after learning that it was just $9-$25SGD, he made a sigh, rolled his eye and walked away.
Guideline mentioned that visitors has to wear masks in public places, but these were not enforced due to “freedom”, which does put people like us in danger. My career involves in taking care of lives and it does not allow any chances of us being sick. In fact, Aras, our Turkish guide was disrespectful of the covid precautions, asking us to all stop wearing masks as everyone would eventually get it if one is infected.
Overall we enjoyed the trip, the itinerary and sight seeing was nice and much better than we expected, Turkey is definitely a nice place for a trip.
I just wanted to share my feedback so that the company can better understand about what people look for in terms of travels these days, we are no longer living in times where people are incapable of finding out the truth about what they are paying for.

The trip is well organized and well explained. Travelling by bus to Cappacodia dan Pamukala is very good experience to be explored. However, turkish food on most of the time is too much to handle. Need to improve on this issue.
