Bosphorus Strait Cruise with Rumeli Fortress or Kücüksu Palace Tour
From US$ 29.00
Overview

View Istanbul from the water and visit an out-of-the-way palace or fortress on this Bosphorus cruise. Admire views of Galata Tower, Dolmabahce Palace, the Bosphorus Bridge, and the historic peninsula, hearing about the sights from an onboard guide, before heading to opulent Kucuksu Pavilion (or Rumeli Hisari Fortress on Mondays and Thursdays). Hotel pickup and included snacks make for a hassle-free trip.

What to Expect
Meet a vehicle at your Istanbul hotel and make your way to the Kasimpasa port for a Bosphorus cruise. After boarding, find a seat on the deck for a good view of the historic peninsula. Spot the Galata Tower in the Galata district as you cruise into the Bosphorus Strait, hearing about the city from your guide along the way.

Snap pictures of the Bosphorus Bridge and pass by the ornate Dolmabahce Palace. After disembarking on the Asian shore, you’ll visit Kucuksu Palace, a grand late-Ottoman era mansion. You’ll hear the stories of the sultans who lived in the palace and view the opulent rooms.
If the palace is closed, visit 15th-century Rumeli Hisari Fortress instead.

Return to the boat and cruise down the Bosphorus back to the Golden Horn, where you’ll dock at Eminonu.

Great Tour - Friendly Guides

Nice and quick 2.5 hours with hotel pick up. The you lads working on the tour were a good laugh and the ferry was comfortable. It gets very cold though, be sure to bring your jumpers and jackets!

Was excited but found it boring

Saw a good overview of Istanbul but can be seriously boring. The boat was large which was good for the vast number of people but a bit outdated. If you do go for this, make sure you take your sunglasses as the white deck reflect...More

The scenic cruise took us through a few hours on the waterway separating the 2 continents, Europe and Asia. We passed by ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture, marble palaces and modern residential and luxury apartments. Great sunny weather this May and thank God the...More

A good way to learn about the city

The tour guide was very informative and the sights, of course, are spectacular. The tour collects you from your hotel but then drops you off somewhere I didn't know. We wanted to go to the spice market but we had difficulty finding it and crossing...More
