Yesterday we finished our twelve day tour in Sri Lanka with Iresh. Thanks to his driving skills, his knowledge of the history of Sri Lanka and his contacts we had an amazing tour through almost the entire country. We have seen and done all we wanted to do. I hired one of their driver Gayan for a four day driving tour to multiple places in Sri Lanka during December 2019. We started from Colombo, went to Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and spent the last day visiting various tourist destinations in Colombo. Gayan was very professional, patient and wanted to do everything under his control for us to have a great experience visiting all these different places. I was visiting this places with my Dad who was 83 yrs old at that time. Gayan was very accommodative to many request that my Dad made for example stopping at different Ayurvedic farms, temples etc. One other thing that I would like to mention is that we missed our flight from Colombo to Mumbai due to our understanding of scheduled departure, so we had to spend an extra 10 hours in Colombo. We called Gayan and he came back to the airport, picked us up and took us to Colombo to have a nice meal and dropped us late at the airport. He showed no hesitation in helping us out without worrying about trying to reconnect with his family as he was out of town for more than 3 or 4 nights. Hence I would highly recommend Gayan if you need a professional driver. Only thing I would like to highlight is Gayan is not very good in conversational English. He was planning to learn English based on our recommendations.

I visited Sri Lanka with my boyfriend in March 2022. We did a round tour with Iresh, who took care of every little detail from the moment he picked us up at the airport. The tour was customized according to our wishes and needs. It’s always desirable to visit the place with someone who’s local and Iresh is the person who knows every little corner of Sri Lanka, from restaurants to hidden temples. But what I appreciate the most the kind of person Iresh is, he is the kindest person I’ve met recently, which makes traveling with him even more enjoyable. From the first day at the airport when he picked us up, he was very polite and took care of us. Furthermore he was looking for exchange offices with the best rate and exchanged money for us. He was with us most of the time, taking pictures and telling us interesting stories about the places which we visited. He is a excellent driver and knows each place by heart. If you have any doubt that someone will crossover you, that you will pay and then no one shows at the airport, with the Iresh you can be safe. Highly recommend this agency!

In the summer of 2019 I went on a 4-week trip with my family in Sri Lanka with Lanka Smart Tours. Our guide, Iresh, did a very great job! He was able to answer all of our questions very competently. We spent 7 amazing days touring around sri lanka with Iresh. It was an amazing experience all around. Iresh made sure that all our needs were fulfilled. Just tell him what kind of trip you want and leave the rest to him. He is very knowledgeable about everything Sri Lankan. He gave us deep information about the places that we went. He is a gem expert and his knowledge in beautiful Sri Lankan gems was really helpful when we were negotiating for some. Our group had someone who broke her arm prior to the trip, Iresh found some ayurvedic oils through his contacts to relieve her pain and it worked wonders. I strongly recommend Iresh as a tour guide. He is a great person and he goes out of his way to make sure everything is as you desire.

Visited Sri Lanka with Iresh a while ago now when the kids were about 5 and 8 years old. What a gent he is. He knew all the best and places to visit, hotels to stay at and by the time we parted ways it was like leaving a family member. He treated the kids like an Uncle would and was more than understanding at their occasional “melt downs”. We’ve recommended Iresh to lots of friends and they have all reported back similar experiences. As an aside he is also a qualified gem trader and helped us barter a sapphire dealer down to market price and advised us on quality of stones.

Had lived with parents in Negombo back in 50s with my father who was in the RAF. Went with brother and his wife to see the RAF camp and tour Sri Lanka. Our guide/driver is now involved with Lanka Smart Holidays. He was an outstanding guide and driver, very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Even though we had our planned route, he was always willing to advise slight changes to maximise our experiences and to visit sites at the right time of day (or night). His contacts often made visits more interesting and often provide those little extras. He also had the knack of taking photos of us with a professional eye and selected good angles to take them.
