He showed us a very culturally rich side of the city with experiences and anecdotes which really helped visualize the history of each site we visited. This is going a must-do for anyone visiting Dhaka or even Dhakaites who want to learn more about the history of the city.Written 18 September 2020

- worldtouror0 contributionsSeeing old Dhaka new a lightThe Roy's in charge of Lost panorama and our guide for the tour is very knowledgeable about the area and personally invested in spreading and sharing the knowledge about the lost heritage of Dhaka. They personally care a lot and knows every nook and cranny of the city and their care shows throughout the careful planning of the tour route. Even though I spent almost 3 hours with them, it seemed too short a time.Written 30 August 2020
- Gerrit5000 contributionsOld Dakha by bicycleSuman gave me a perfect view into Old Dakha. We did the trip by bicycle since it was the last part of my bicycle trip from Myanmar to Bangla desh. Suman speaks perfect english and is very symphaticWritten 29 August 2020
- cireniacv0 contributionsThe most unique tour to experience Old DhakaThis tour was like no other. Filled with interesting facts about the history of the city, Suman takes you from a busy street to calm alleyways that would not be accessible to ordinary tourists. In addition, during the tour you get to experience local breakfast, tasty treats, delicious tea, see monkeys on the street, and experience the most wonderful views of the city. Suman knows every nook and cranny of Old Dhaka and his passion for the history of the city is remarkable. A true gem!Written 17 February 2020
- AnnikaR3380 contributionsA really great experience exploring Old Dhaka - highly recommend!A colleague and I had one free day to explore Dhaka while in Bangladesh this week, and we're so grateful that a friend of a friend recommended Lost Panorama's walking tours. It was such a great way to get to know a really vibrant and historic part of the city! We walked through and by so many alleys and markets; found hidden treasure after hidden treasure; enjoyed snacks, tea, and great food; came across festivals, celebrations, vats of food being prepared, monkeys climbing buildings, the sounds and (strong ginger-garlic) smells of daily commerce; explored old houses and rooftop and river views, etc, etc, and learned so much. It was the best day (!) and Dhaka now has a forever place in my heart. Suman is the kindest person, most knowledgeable guide, and his passion for remembering and preserving the history of this great city is remarkable. I highly recommend the tour and definitely hope to myself be able to come back for another one!Written 15 February 2020
- T6333CUjohnp0 contributionsRelaxed, interesting and friendly experienceSuman does not offer mere tours, you can easily find tours and guides. Being a local, and having grown up and lived in the areas visited Suman instead offers a real insiders experience, full of activity and it enables all who take part to experience the real Dhaka and other historical places. Without Suman's help and assistance we would have certainly missed so much of what there is to see and enjoy.Written 13 February 2020
- Alsandair0 contributionsAuthentic tour through DhakaSuman has made yhis day fantastic and very remarkable! He has opened yhe Dhaka from nice sides I didn't expect to see, while he never tried to hide the reality. Absolutely recommend!Written 11 February 2020
- susanindc0 contributionsA must-do activity in DhakaI have taken a lot of city tours in my years of travel, and this is hands down my favorite. Suman and Lopa expertly navigated my two friends and me through the crowded and hectic streets of Old Dhaka, showing us hidden gems and sharing with us the fascinating history of the city. The late breakfast they took us too was amazing, and they patiently waited while we stopped to take (too many!) photos and pet some of the friendlier street dogs. When they heard me telling one of the dogs that I wished I had some food to give her, they even went to a nearby vendor to buy some crackers for me to offer up. A small thing, but those are often what makes a big difference in the overall experience. I highly recommend this tour company.Written 2 February 2020
- Deborah D0 contributionsgreat walking tourGreat walking tour of Dutch settlement in Old Dhaka with a small group. The tour guide was very knowledgeable being from Old Dhaka and was easy to approach with questions. We felt he and his assistant gave us a great tour. We were happy to have had the experience of local breakfast food and tea breaks. I would definitely recommend this tour company. The guide had done a lot of research on the walk and it made for an educational and enjoyable tour. All the best to you, Mr. Roy and your assistant. We hope to come on another walk again in the New Year. Thank you.Written 25 January 2020
- emcarroll260 contributionsHighly recommend this walking tour of Old Dhaka! My friends and I did this walking tour with Suman this week and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in exploring Old Dhaka. He and his colleague were on time, and gave us an overview of what to expect before we began walking. Both he and his colleague speak English well and are very knowledgable about the history of Bangladesh. The beginning of the tour took us through small alleyways, markets and by a beautiful pond used for washing clothes & bathing. We walked for about an hour and a half before stopping at a small, local canteen that served a delicious traditional breakfast. This meal might have been my favorite that I had throughout my entire stay in Bangladesh. Afterward, we kept walking - exploring Hindu temples, various buildings dating back 400 years, mosques, etc. Suman and his colleague expertly led us through the hectic traffic and kindly waited for us as we took our pictures. We even got lucky and spotted a couple monkeys and a mongoose in the city. At the end, Suman helped us call an uber to take us back to our hotel. He and his colleague were incredibly friendly, lovely people and it was a pleasure spending the morning with them. They are clearly passionate about their city, its heritage, and helping develop tourism within the city. Could not recommend this tour enough if you are interested in seeing the inner workings of Old Dhaka.Written 14 January 2020
- AntonyPaulL0 contributionsSuccess trips require: The right people on the ground.Bangladesh isn’t necessarily the easiest place to travel. Having the right people to help makes all the difference. Suman and the lost panorama team supported me and my crew over our two visits for a month and made sure we all: Got where we needed All travel was organised including all our gear Were all safe Had lots of laughs on the way Got to see parts of the country many don’t get to see Had all our questions answered Made the right introductions and got us access to the people and organisations we needed Ensured we got medical attention when needed Aside from that he is an amazing compassionate human and a fantastic communicator with clear values he lives by. Thanks for everything. Look forward to the next round!Written 12 January 2020

I visited Old Dhaka (Puran Dhaka) numerous times, but this tour was really eye opening for me as the Lost Panoroma team has roots at old dhaka. They are quite familiar with the lanes of Old Dhaka as well as their history! The tour was well organized, well communicated & full of enthusiasm. If you are interested in Old Dhaka, you shouldn't miss this walk.

Our group of 12 had a most wonderful time at the Armenian Walk. We're all Bangladeshis living in Dhaka and some of us have been to the locations before but it was great to have a "tour" of the place with information that we've never known before. The tour guides are truly passionate about the Old Dhaka and their love shines through and I would go on every walk they arrange!
One of the nicest weekend activities you can do in Dhaka - please do this if you can :)
