- Camper061663914500 contributionsUnforgettable Dhaka tour, 100 % recommendable! We had an amazing day with the best guide in Bangladesh Afridi, don't look any further, this is the best tour you can get in Dhaka! The guide speaks perfect English, takes this time to explain everything very well and will guide you smoothly through this chaotic city. So happy we booked this tour! Learned a lot about this amazing country and makes us want to come back soon! Thank you!Written 26 January 2025
- Escape149959967550 contributionsA must if you want to see DhakaMy daughter did a Dhaka city tour and absolutely loved it! Jerry took her through the city using the different modes of transportation (she loved the electric rickshaw) and showed her all of the highlights including lunch. It was a perfect day that highlighted her vacationWritten 16 January 2025
- Nomad6036000 contributionsExcellent city tour with AfridiThis tour was an excellent way to see Dhaka in a day - especially through the local lens! We were picked up promptly at 8AM from our hotel and taken to the various places on the itinerary with ample time to walk, observe, take photos, ask questions etc. Our guide, Afridi, was very knowledgeable, kind, considerate and fun to be with. He spoke English very well which made the whole experience that much more enriching for us. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend. I'd book another tour in Dhaka with Afridi as my guide anytime! Thanks so much.Written 11 January 2025
- Jay M0 contributionsAwesome 3-Day Custom Itinerary!I'm a travel advisor so I work with a lot of guides and tour agencies and Bangladesh Eco Adventure is definitely a well-run operation. It started with an email exchange with the owner, Mahadi, who worked with me to build a 3-day custom itinerary. He made several revisions until I was satisfied as I didn't have a lot of time and wanted to maximize every minute in Bangladesh. Mr. Jery my guide was excellent. We were never in a rush and we were able to go off script and explore something not on the plan. The driver was very calm and confident on these difficult roads. Most importantly everyone was safe and I had a lot of fun along the journey.Written 25 December 2024
- J2174TDpetes0 contributionsMust do while in Dhaka!Superb tour, many things to discover in the city, markets, parks, old palaces and religious buildings, etc. Afridi was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and making you feel at ease all the time!Written 8 December 2024
- J4339ESbartv0 contributionsAmazing trip through BangladeshIt was simply fantastic! The local guide team (main guide Afridi , second guide Soheil, bus and luggage driver) took very well care of our group of 13 participants. The programme was executed completely and we visited Dhaka, Sonargoan, Sunderbans, Barisal and Sreemangal, and 2 Hindu festivals. Amazing experience in a country so different from Belgium. We will never forget :-)Written 21 November 2024
- Trip312404014610 contributionsGreat, knowledgeable guide and full Dhaka day!Great guide and a well-planned day. Jerry grabbed me from my hotel in Farmgate and we covered great ground over the day. He also catered for me being vegetarian. Would definitely recommend.Written 28 October 2024
- DeLa P0 contributionsTrip to SreemangalWe traveled from Dhaka to Sreemangal with Mahadi for a short 2 night trip. We were 6 adults and one child. The trip was thoughtfully planned to accommodate the needs and interests of the group. We were able to do a lot in a short amount of time including visiting a batik workshop, rice harvesting, tea plantations, a nature hike, and boat ride at a wetlands bird and fish sanctuary. A highlight was visiting an indigenous community who harvest betel leaves inside a national forest reserve. Their lush, hilltop village was teeming with a variety of flowers and a plethora of butterfly species. It was amazing! Mahadi and his team of guides are friendly, knowledgeable, organized and ethically oriented. I highly recommend organizing any travel in Bangladesh through them.Written 18 October 2024
- Y1019EIdereks0 contributionsA traveler’s review…The initial reason as to why i decided to buy a solo plane ticket to Bangladesh and travel the country with Eco Adventure for 12 days would be best described as a calling. I could not have made a better decision on where to go, on when to go, and whom to go with. Afridi, my main guide, can be best described by myself as a brilliant son of Bangladesh! He introduced me to a beautiful nation filled with loving people where the ecosystem is built on caring for one another. Gentle soul after gentle soul I met. I shook their hands. Looked into their kind eyes. I may have gone alone, but I was never alone. I touched down on the tarmac in Dhaka and from that point on I was in the paradise of that Bangladesh ecosystem. I felt it in my heart. It was a traveler’s dream. The things I saw and the moments I experienced I will surely carry with me for the rest of my life.Written 12 October 2024
- Helen B0 contributionsSuch a fun day getting to know the real Dhaka!Had an amazing day getting to know the real Dhaka with guide, Mahadi. He took me to local spots, hidden gems, and the sights of the city. Travelling by tuktuk, rickshaw and boat I got to know what everyday life is like in Dhaka. I felt 100% safe as a solo female traveller and everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend this tour for anyone wanting to take their time getting to know the city from an insider's perspective.Written 12 October 2024

- braun_brian0 contributionsWon’t regretSo glad I did this. I wouldn’t have seen the bazaars and other off-the-beaten-path sites without it. The river ride was a particular highlight. My guide, Jerry, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and communicative. Despite recent political turmoil, Dhaka city seems safe and business as usual. Highly recommend.Written 14 September 2024
- jarrods2500 contributionsBlend in (kind of) with a Dhaka localFantastic experience through the streets of Dhaka with a local. My host, the friendly Shihab Jery, was just what I was hoping for: he gave a great insight into some of what makes Dhaka tick. The traffic in Dhaka can get a bit intense - crossing roads can be a challenge at times for non-locals - but I was totally safe with Jery. On all fronts. Really great way to get a taste of this exciting, colourful, crazy and friendly city. Highly recommend the tour to anyone who wants a more grass-roots kind of experience: I loved it!Written 11 September 2024
- Travelophilia840 contributionsAmazing tour of Dhaka.I can’t recommend this tour and this company enough. I was travelling to Bangladesh for work purposes as a single female. The tour guide made me feel safe the entire time and showed me parts of Dhaka that otherwise I would have never seen on my own. The guide was knowledgeable, very well educated and spoke perfect English. He was very patient when I asked him to take a million pictures of me. I will be contacting them for more tours in the future for sure.Written 14 July 2024
- AnferneeC60 contributionsAmazing city tour in Dhaka! It's amazing city tour in Dhaka. My guide, Afridi led me to visit all famous attractions by local transportation. Dhaka is a crowded city with friendly people. Although the weather is hot in May, but I can see many beautiful view in Dhaka. The traffic is a big hard there, and I was busy on taking photos during the tour. But Afridi took a super good cares on me. Moreover, Afridi spent a lot of time trying to find a postcard for me before I left. Thanks, Brother.Written 27 May 2024

Thoroughly enjoyed this day trip out of Dhaka in the company of very friendly and informative tour guide Raihan. Since government managed tourist sites were closed due to the religious holiday, Raihan flexibly adapted the itinerary to visit a nearby small island by riverboat. The tour agency also accommodated my request to visit the Padma Multipurpose bridge by boat at sunset on the way back to Dhaka, which gave me the opportunity to cross the lush countryside along the way and pass by multiple villages. To cap it all off, a hilsa fish dinner upon return to the Padma river port, in the best of Bangladeshi culinary traditions. A very complete day with amazing pictures to take away.

After experiencing the discovery of Dhaka with Bangladesh Eco Adventure, I also wanted to discover the ancient capital Sonargaon. The friendly and knowledgeable guide Afridi collected me from the hotel. We first took a suburban train to Sonargaon. Then we had to take a ferry and then a tuk tuk to get to our destination. We first visited Panam City, the old abandoned street of Sonargaon with very beautiful houses and their colonial architecture. Then we took a private boat tour on the impressive Meghna River. After lunch, we visited the palace and the Sonargaon museum again before returning by bus this time. I really enjoyed taking all these means of transport and Sonargaon is really calm compared to the noise that reigns in Dhaka. Afridi was very efficient and gave me a lot of information. His level of English is very good which allows for a real exchange! I really recommend this excursion!

This was a great tour to see the ancient Sonargaon and Panam City. Especially the stop at the weaving factory I found most interesting. Our guide Afiri was very knowledgeable and could answer all our questions. We can recommend booking the tour with Afiri.

Tour company was able to accommodate my request on very short notice. Office staff is very helpful and easy to communicate with and easy to get ahold of. Was provided an English speaking guide, Jerry. He was very professional and courteous. Saw all the main sights and didn’t feel rushed. Tour was just what I requested and everything went well. Would recommend this company. Cost is also reasonable.

The bus ride is an adventure in itself. You see so many beautiful situations along the way. Crazy for words. Old Buses, tuktuk. Nature. Once there also nice cozy interesting experiences.

We enjoyed our tour of Dhaka so much that we decided to go with our guide Afridi to see the city of Sonargon.
Despite the traffic jams the trip was super comfortable in an air-conditioned car.
We visited the weaving mills, saw the oldest mosque in Sonargon, took a boat trip down the Meghna River to an island, and socialized with local children.
Very strong impression was made by the palace in Bangladesh Folk & Art Museum and of course by the abandoned Panam City. It was something incredible. I never thought I would see such a thing.
Thanks for our guide Afridi for his caring attitude and interesting stories. Come to Bangladesh, you will be met by wonderful people.

Wow! Bangladesh is a must do experience and I couldn’t recommend Eco Adventure Bangladesh more.
It was a really last minute trip and the owner of the company phoned before hand to help plan the trip.
He has many connections throughout the country that ensure a smooth sailing and enable you to get immersed in the country.
Ali brought me around Mongla and Barishal. He is super kind natured and local to the area. Jerry brought me around Dhaka and got me to do things that I wouldn’t have if alone which made it a great experience. The owner, Mahadi also recommended sites that I was unaware of which were really cool.
I only had 4 days, but would definitely recommend more time and explore more of the country if possible. Eco Adventure Bangladesh make it 100 possible with their drivers, guides and planning.
