In this tour we left at exactly 10am by bus from their office and came back around 7pm. We covered all the places offered on this tour(khorvikap, areni wine tasting, bird cave and noravank) and I can say it feels great being able to see and experience those places personally. If I have more time in Armenia I would have taken another tour from Hyur. Special thanks to the driver Josef & the tour guide Anahit for doing a fantastic job.Written 3 December 2024

This is a great, half-day tour including 2 main historical sites in Armenia, Garni and Geghard, as well the traditional practice of baking "lavash" which is a special kind of flat bread. Our tour guide Karine was super knowledgeable in the history of both sites and lavash baking, and she explained absolutely everything in a very clear and interesting way. She also welcomes and answers all questions.
The heat that day was especially high (we went mid-July) but the bus fridges had ample numbers of cold water, and the air conditioning was great. The on-board free WiFi also helps you stay connected if you need it.
Last but not least, our driver Norayir is champ! He drives very calmly and smoothly and was able to skillfully maneuver some tight bends on the winding road to Geghard and along the scenic route through the villages.

This is the first time i booked with Hyur. To be honest, i was not expecting the number of people who will be on the tour. I thought itll be around 15-20, but we were 40+ people!! Full on a big bus.
Well the trip was smooth, but unfortunately, i didnt get what i was really expecting. Among 40+ people, only 6 of us speaks English. Others were Russians.
Their way of showing you around is they speak in Russian first then they will translate to English. I usually wonder why when the lady speaks Russian, she speaks a hefty 20-25min but when she translates on English, its just 5min.
One American guy who understands Russian said to us (English speakers) that he pity us because only 60% of the things were translated in English.
So i felt bad when i confirmed my doubts about not getting the full information.
The worse thing is, unlike other tour guides that will show you around, going to the specific place and explain the history, what our tour guide is doing is she will explain in the entrance and you will be the one to explore the things.
For example the Geghard Monastery, which is one of the most sought after trip, she only explained the things in the first floor, and then she never even touched the history of the second floor which is one of the most amazing place ive been. Good thing my other friends who went before me informed me about going up and experience the magnificence of the place.
Overall, still it was okay but then i never booked another tour with them and chose to book to other tour agencies.

Thank you for choosing our company and for the review! yes indeed we have had many Russian speaking travelers for the period of your travel and all our tours are held in 2 languages English and Russian. Believe us, independently of the number of guests in one or another group we never make any difference in the information provided in both languages. You may have such impression because there were more questions from the side of Russian speaking travellers as their number was dominating.
Hope to have another chance to host you in our country!

I highly recommend this company. I did an airport drop off and 3 trips with Hyur during my stay in Yerevan. The ladies in the office were professional, patient and helpful.
All tours were well organized. The guides were very polite, kind, professional and informative. They gave the tour information in both Russian and English. Tours also included cold water and a small token local cake on each tour. The tour buses were all comfortable, AC, Wifi and all the drivers working for this company handled buses and roads well. I enjoyed all the tours that I did with Hyur - Garni, Lake Seven and Wings of Tatev . I recommend all of these tours with Hyur if you have time.
Thank you Hyur

We booked a 6 hour tour to Garni and Geghard with a Lavish cooking demonstration. The time spent in each place was adequate (it was almost too much time). Our guide Liana was very thorough and explained each site in 2 languages Russian and English. We enjoyed Liana's explanations and her english was good.
The only problem I had was that it was a big huge bus and every seat was taken. There were easily 50 people on the tour. I wished it was a smaller group, like maybe a group for Russians and another for English speaking. We paid 8900 AMD per person and booking and payment was made online. I think I would have paid a bit more for a smaller group and a smaller bus.
Also, the tour starts at 10 am but when we got there at 9:30 am, most of the seats were saved with something on the seat and we had to sit towards the back

We used Hyur Service on a group tour to Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery, and Lavash Baking, as well as a private tour to Khor Virap, and had a fantastic overall experience. My wife and I traveled to Armenia in February 2020 and stayed in Yerevan for about a week. Since it was winter and somewhat off-season for tourists, it was nice that Hyur Service has several different options to pick and choose from, so that we were able to enjoy the scheduled tours and then also experience Armenia a bit on our own without many crowds. On our group tour, the guides were very friendly, informative and gave us ample time to explore each location after delivering the history. It was also nice that tours were conducted in English and Russian to accommodate the various people in the group. Garni and Geghard were spectacular locations and great to see and learn about. I believe what sets Hyur Service apart from other tours is the added local touch – it was great to see the local women make lavash in their tonir and then tasting the delicious results! We had some friendly Gampr dogs greet us on a couple of the stops – those are the little things that we will remember for a long time.
We are planning to visit Armenia again and would definitely use Hyur Service for some additional tour locations. For many people this could be their only trip to Armenia, and Hyur Service makes it truly special in my opinion. Highly recommend. Shad shnorhagal em!

This tour was great! I loved how the itinerary was not too packed; there was enough time to rest in between stops. The bus was comfortable, and the snack was good! Our guide, Tatev and driver, Levon, were friendly. The information shared with us was insightful! Overall, I would recommend Hyur's service because I’ve been hearing about it, and after experiencing it first-hand, it was worth it!

Tour guide Rose ably assisted by driver Mavarik provided an unforgettable experience on this trek into Armenian history. The guide's narration was lively, funny and poignant. The driver kept us safe on some breathtaking roads. The lunch and lavash demonstration were excellent. We also saw Azad Reservoir which was not on the official itinerary but should not be missed. All of us in the group appreciated this bonus. Well run, properly organized and an excellent value for money.

I booked an excursion with Rose and Norik. And it exceeded my expectations: the bus was very comfortable, the driver very friendly and careful, all very punctual and as described. The program is very interesting! What I appreciated the most was the detailed and historically documented info about Armenia before Christianity: now I am very interested in this period. I strongly recommend this agency and especially this team, Rose and Norik
