A great tour for people who are interested in learning more about the war
We did the 1/2 day cu chi tour today and it was so informative. Our guide Martin was able to articulate information in such a moving way and really highlighted the tragic conditions of the war. I would highly recommend this tour.

Cu chi Tunnels and Mekong River Tour
The full-day tour visiting both Cu Chi tunnels and the Mekong Delta River is absolutely fantastic! The tour was not only great value for money, but our guide, Lam, truly made the experience unforgettable. His passion and deep knowledge of the history and culture of Vietnam were evident throughout the day. Lam was very informative and made sure we were engaged and comfortable at all times. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Vietnam—it’s a perfect way to explore two iconic locations in a single day, with the added bonus of having such a passionate guide leading the way. Thanks again to Lam for making it such a memorable experience!

      Family Activity
A humbling, interesting, harrowing, and excellent tour. The space is well set up, the guide excellent, and the pace just right for all kinds of people. We took two kids (13 and 10) and they found the interactive immersive experience to be interesting. We had given them a bit of a history lesson ahead of time to give some context. One should plan for a pretty big day with long bus rides on either side and not much time if you want a full lunch. Not a downside, just something to be aware of.

Family of 4 - great experience
Family of 4 with a 7 and 12 year old. The tour is what you would expect experience wise, but very enjoyable. Of course the spots are touristy, but unless you are willing to pay the premium for it, you are going to be in touristy areas. That being said, it was a great time. Stop 1 was at an art place where handicapped locals make beautiful art. Stop 2 was Cu Chi which was interesting and informative. We ate a family style lunch there and the food was perfect, light yet filling. Stop 3 was the Mekong where we did a boat ride, across the river, tasted some delightful coconut candy, did a small boat ride up a canal, drank some rocket fuel disguised as snake and banana whisky, ate some refreshing fruit, took a tuktuk to see where the honey was made, took pictures with bees and a python, and lastly ate some locally made banana chips and dried ginger, and drank some honey tea before the boat ride back across the river and drive back to HCM. Tips: Be prepared for a 2 hour drive, followed by a 2.5 hour drive, then a final 2 hour drive. There are NO hidden fees, unless you want to buy stuff and no one will pressure you - they are just very attentive! Our guide, TV, was incredible with everyone and especially our kids. He was an absolute treat to have guide us around! My only suggestion would be to book both as separate day trips if you have the time. Otherwise, if you're strapped for time, it is a great deal! PS... our driver was a rock star!

Our experience in the cu chi tunnel was amazing! Our tour guide, Ethan, was excellent. He was able to tell us about the history of the tunnel and a short review of the history of Vietnam War. He was also able to show and let the tourists experience what it feels like to be back in the days such as entering the tunnels and experiencing going under the hideouts. We were really able to grasp the knowledge on the history of Vietnam through this tour!

I booked into this trip on a whim last minute after receiving recommendations from my hotel. We were fortunate to have an extremely small group of 5 participants out of the maximum 9. This was heavily contrasted by the countless numbers of tour group buses of 30+ Disengaged participants that got stuck on every stop. We were able to nip around each spot proficiently without taking up too much time. Our tour guide Mr Thinh was incredibly charismatic, knowledgeable and passionate about each topic. He was able to answer all questions and created dynamic conversations across the group. Our Driver, Mr Dai made sure that we were safe and felt comfortable throughout the trip. Although he did not speak English we could tell that he was kind and genuine. The trip ran incredibly smoothly and I would certainly recommend this tour to any friends or family visiting Ho Chi Minh.

My wife and I went on the afternoon tour, with 6 others and Jacky ( our tour guide ) in the comfortable minibus. On the way to the tunnels we stopped off at a workshop where second and third generation people disabled by the effects of Agent Orange make fantastic pieces of art - certainly not the kind of tourist tat that so often features in a conducted tour. We spent 2 1/2 hours at the tunnels themselves - a unique experience. You can crawl along a tunnel - incredibly cramped, even though they've apparently been enlarged a bit for tourists. You can also fire a semi automatic rifle ( US$2 per bullet ) if you're into that sort of thing. If you're lucky enough to get Jacky as your guide you'll find him both amusing and informative.

I purchased a travel package from them for our family, but unfortunately, we were left dissatisfied with the level of service provided. Despite paying a significant amount, we found ourselves traveling in a standard bus lacking in comfort. Our disappointment grew as the tour itinerary deviated, first taking us to an irrelevant art and craft factory. It became apparent that this stop was merely a ploy by Kim Travel to promote sales and earn commissions, wasting our time in the process.

Upon finally reaching Cu Chi Tunnels, the tour rushed through significant portions, depriving us of the opportunity to fully appreciate the site. Our guide seemed more focused on concluding the tour swiftly rather than providing informative insights or addressing our queries. Additionally, there was a lack of accountability as some members of our group got lost, requiring them to seek assistance from the guide.

To add to our frustrations, the tour concluded without dropping us off at the designated pick-up point, forcing us to incur additional expenses for taxis. Overall, our experience with Kim Travel fell far short of expectations, and I strongly advise against their services to anyone considering a similar trip.

The tour picked up on time and had one stop along the way at a souvenir shop. The souvenirs are twice as expensive compared to the same stuff at other shops, so be aware! Our tour guide was a little insensitive to the war topics and smiled the whole time while talking about some of the gruesome war facts, showing the traps and tunnels, and seemed to be delivered in an anti-American perspective. It would’ve been nice to acknowledge that no one wanted the war on the American side either. There is also an area where you can pay extra to shoot guns. It’s extremely loud and right next to a gift shop/restaurant. It was very off putting. Overall, it was humbling to experience it all but not the best experience.

I did the half day tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels and it was a great experience. Jackie was our guide, so knowledgeable sharing the history of the Vietnamese guerrillas in their fight for survival in the American war. War is not a pleasant topic, and although uncomfortable, Jackie created a picture of the experiences and impacts on the people and the environment. I been on tours where the guide gives plenty of facts but no understanding; Jackie delivered the lot. The tour was cheap, such great value for money, I came away educated and the group was good; it was so enjoyable to meet people from many countries and hear about their travels. Do not hesitate to do this tour.

The tour guide was very focused on describing how smart the Vietnamese were during and how Americans were stupid. I understand that the tour is in Vietnam but even not as American I felt a strong bias. Besides few stops at "special stores" one of them offered products at 12 times the price compare to local markets in the city center!

Dear Mr Miko - The first thing we are very sorry for your problem which made you unpleasant about the tunnel trip was organized last week. Secondly We want to inform you let you know that our guide did not mean American army was stupid in the war - he only meant The NLF ( National liberation front) well- known Vietcong got great - smart idea in their guerrilla war tactics to get final victory . We are sure with you that Vietnam war has been complicated for any side to understand that so we hope you sympathize with this problem. Thirdly we need to tell you about handicrafts product you saw at the workshop ( made by handicapped workers ) the product price could be higher than Ben Thanh market but it could not be 12 times higher like that - one more thing you should know that the product you saw at the workshop are created by hand made , one by one and step by step that why it took long time to finish and high quality warranty. We are not only saw value of fine art but also we saw values of human because it was made by handicapped people has been Agent Organ Victims. At Ben Thanh market you will never see anything value like that . We are not sure the quantity of the market product ( because we did not see how they made it ) Finally we hope you will understand our sharing to make everything clear .Hope you have a great Holliday in Vietnam . When you back our Vietnam please inform us let us know .We promise planning your enjoy again . Thanks for your reading our response!

The long drive with an unexpected compulsory visit to a craft/art factory was made longer because of the overly friendly commentary with too much repetitive emphasis on the importance of giving excellent reviews about the guide and tour. The tour of the "tunnels" did provide an insight into the VC side of the war and why they were so successful. The tour site is tired and loaded with clichéd physical examples of tunnels, traps hideouts and all the things you might expect but lacking anything that might really make you think about recommending the tour. That said if you didn't take the tour then you might be left thinking you had missed an important aspect of Vietnamese history. All up I would rate this tour as overwhelmingly average. You are expected to participate in climbing into small dirty spaces and following a conga line of asses through what you are told are authentic tunnels now worn smooth buy the shoulders of tourists. If that appeals to you then wear clothes suited to rolling in dirt and you may well enjoy the shooting range.

A very fun trip indeed! Tanh was our guide and he made every effort to put us first whether it be in line, carrying the merchandise we purchased, or negotiating prices with the locals. He made a lot of jokes, but he worked very hard to make our trip the best. I highly recommend this tour and Tanh.

Mr Long was very knowledgeable. Prior to arriving at the hotel, he gave me a WhatsApp video call to inform me about his arrival. The tour was very informative and engaging with plenty of artefacts to explore. We spent approx 2 hours in the area with tunnel exploring and also getting to know more about the local history there.
There is also a live firing range at Cu Chi for those who are interested.

I recommend going for the noon session as there are lesser people and also recommended by our guide.
