About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- CFBL0 contributionsEverythingHere is our letter of thanks to Asia King Travel Dear Ms Ngoc and Asia King Travel. About our samphan cruise - thank you for excellent service, information and following up on my questions, changes etc. The cruise was a success. We were picked up by the hotel in the morning and after a pleasant drive, one stop for refreshment, we reached the samphan. We were met by our excellent guide, Mr. EM, highly recommended, and crew members taking care of our luggage. Getting on board we were welcomed with fresh cotton towels and coconut drinks. Then we were cycling in the area before going to "Le Longanier" restaurant for an excellent dinner - beautiful house. Then back to the samphan and the cruise started. We were, before the cruise, "afraid" that it would be a little crowded and little time for ourselves enjoying the cruise - but how we were wrong! We were treated like royals and Mr. Em, the guide did everything he could to make it OUR cruise. Never disturbed, always "on alert" if we wanted to ask something, freshly brewed Vietnamese coffee always available. The meals prepared in a tiny microscopic "kitchen" was like in a restaurant. Our first night sleeping on board was quite only some boats passing during the night. The bed was good. Since we are experienced travellers we chose to use less time on stops in markets and brick factory that we have seen similar before. Also last evening dinner in private house - going there with the little boat only to pick up dinner, not eating there - eating later on the boat on our way to Rach Gia. We were told that normally the samphan reached Rach Gia around 3-4AM cruising all night. Since the noice from the engine in our beautiful bed room was quit high - 81dB - it was difficult to sleep. But since we made fewer stops as described we reached Rach Gia around 11PM and had a quiet nice sleep all night waking up to a nice breakfast. The bath room was almost hotel like, tiles in shower. After taking farewell with our excellent - No.1-crew we ended our cruise and tour in Rach Gia. Mr. Em, had arranged for a taxi to take us to the ticked office and then to "Superdong" bound for Phu Quoc island. The samphan cruise was a once in a lifetime wonderful experience - recommended! Thank you again and we will definitely recommend Asia Travel and Ms. Ngoc to everyone! As readers now understand we highly recommend the samphan cruse as a once in a lifetime experience! Have a nice trip!Written 31 October 2024

- Dream450882639690 contributionsExperience with SAPA NomadI booked train tickets from Hanoi to SAPA with return on September 22/9 through SAPA Nomad. Due to yagi trains were cancelled. I was amazed with timely communication from SAPA nomad team and were highly responsive to my queries through out the phase. They managed to book private car adjusting the payment made for train travel with quick turnaround time. This enabled my travel plan not to disrupt and went as scheduled. Real Value proposition is their great service to clients.Written 23 September 2024
- mark r0 contributionsHa long bay cruiseI would like to thank Luong for arranging our day trip to Ha long bay she worked tirelessly to ensure that we were able to attend the one day cruise despite the weather due to the Typhoon in Hanoi we were still able to view the stunning scenery and visit the dark and light cave the staff on board the ship were fantastic and really attentive the food demonstration was good fun I would definitely recommend this tour and we hope we can do this again in the futureWritten 15 September 2024
- Kawakwa0 contributionsWonderful tripAn excellent trip packed full of activities:::Dan and his staff did an excellent job ensuring everyone had a great time: food was terrific… Tiptop Island was crazy busy but other activities were very worthwhile…would definitely recommendWritten 16 April 2024
- VMJEastYorkshire0 contributionsHalong Bay cruiseWe had an overnight cruise and it was great fun. The staff - especially the cruise director, Dan, were very welcoming. The boat itself is quite old but the cabins and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. The food was excellent and our dinner was taken out on deck and it was beautiful! There were lots of activities from a cookery demonstration, early morning Tai Chi lesson and boat trips. The only thing to note is that Halong Bay is super busy - so many boats and so many tourists!Written 11 April 2024
- Antony_D0 contributionsWell organised day tour to Halong Bay from HanoiI booked the Limousine Van + Luxury Cruise option. The company contacted me by WhatsApp to confirm the pickup time at my hotel the day before. Picked up on time in a very comfortable minibus, which stopped off at three places to collect five of us and took us to the boat. I had a very pleasant day. Halong Bay is a must if you are in the area and JadeSails a great way to explore the bay. The trip included a rowing boat trip through some caves and an opportunity to kayak and swim. The lunch was delicious with plenty of choice. I did this trop solo but will be returning in the next few years with my wife and would be happy to take this tour again. Thanks to all the staff for making this a lovely day.Written 7 April 2024
- 2120Farwell0 contributionsOverall good experience and would recommend. We booked a 6 day 5 night tour for Da Nang, Hoi An, and Cham Island with Local Tours Vietnam. Reservation was easy and communication with Huy during reservation was easy. Huy was very flexible. However, when we got to Da Nang airport, we couldn't find our driver at airport pickup. We contacted Huy but couldn't get a hold of him until about 1/2 hour later, then another driver from the company found us. Diệu our tour guide for Da Nang City Tour did a great job. Tour guides for Ba Na Hill and Cham Holy Santuary were good. Tour guide for Cham Island and provided lunch food were not good. Tour guide did not explain much in English. There were not many colorful fish at the snorkeling location. Overall, we had a great time and good experience and I would recommend this tour and Local Tours Vietnam but I would recommend that Huy be accessible and more responsive when customer encounter problems.Written 29 March 2024

- Abitoffriendlyadvice0 contributionsCouldn’t have been any worse. We were just subjected to a 20-something guide with a viral infection for two days. Incredibly, he also cooked our food at the boat’s cooking demonstration—that he then sneezed all over! Truly. Wife and I both now have this a-hole’s infection. What a poorly run outfit. Never even crossed the fool’s mind to put a mask on. AVOID—you can do so much better.Written 17 March 2024
- D8249RWdawnl0 contributionsDO NOT BOOKIf I could give this zero stars I would. I booked this tour last minute the night before and they contacted me letting me know the day of that even though I booked it , we might not be able to go due to room and car So we upgraded our room and the ride to a “limousine” and a higher star hotel. 7 am they pick us up and the “limousine” is TINY and cramped. Me and my boyfriend sit in the front cramped riding for 6 hours. With barley any space. When I say do NOT book this tour I mean it. They stuff you in a tiny VAN with no leg room and up charge you for it. If the tour is full do not give people the option to book just so you guys can upcharge them and have them ride UNCOMFORTABLY for 6 hours. Next we get to the hotel and we’re informed that the 3 of us will be staying in the same room.. with one bed and there’s an up charge if we want 2 rooms. So we pay the upcharge when we already paid for a upcharge to a “nicer” hotel. The hotel is nice but the food is bland. The first tour was okay.. it was cold and foggy so we could barley see anything. We get back to the hotel and the people we booked through inform us that there’s not a room at the hotel we’re staying at for tomorrow night and DOWNGRADE us to a tiny hotel room and ask us to pay again for an extra room when we PAID the upgrade price already for the hotel and limousine upgrade just so they can stick us in a tiny hotel and inform us that if we want to continue to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner that came with our package we booked we would have to walk to the old hotel we were staying at prior. The tours.. just so you know cat cat village is a place locals go to sell stuff and they are aggressive. It was so crowded and we were rushed from place To place. The next day we hiked the rice hills.. our tour guide ran into her village elders and asked them to come along to help us through the rice Fields just for them to ask us to buy things at the end of the tour. We felt like they had shaked us down and force us to buy stuff from them. They all work together to scam foreigners and make us feel bad. The rice field was a WASTE of time and money due to the weather we couldn’t see anything because of the fog and ruined our shoes .. at the end of the tour we discovered there was a route that we could of taken that wouldn’t have ruined our shoes and was safe but our tour guide mai took us the more dangerous and dirty way so that she and her elders could shake us down for over priced souvenirs . We decided not to even go on a hike the last day because we felt like we were scammed by our tour guide and didn’t feel comfortable. Long story short: this tour is a scam for more money and not worth even half what we paid. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy go through the head ache I’ve been through these three days. Book at your own risk but I would NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. The people of Sapa are not friendly and you are only a buck to them. The entire time I’ve been here I’ve felt uneasy and haven’t met one decent person. It’s a money grab scam and the people running this TripAdvisor is super unprofessional for allowing me to purchase just to force me to be up charged to a “higher” star hotel and ride when the hotel and ride are TERRIBLE. Before you decide to go to Sapa READ AND RESEARCH CAREFULLY. I speak the language and continuously felt harassed and scammed for more money. Take my advice if you’re going to go and just book a car and a hotel and explore yourself. These “tour guides “ take you to their villages and make you feel bad and forced to buy things from their people and judge and are rude to you if you don’t. This tour was literally hell.Written 10 March 2024
