    What to Expect
Your host is a lovely Hanoian, full of warmth and kindness, with talented cooking skills. You will meet at their home, a bright yellow building in the heart of the Old Quarter, where you will enjoy a cooking demonstration of some of her favorite family recipes. Enter her home and step away from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi's streets into authentic, real Vietnam life.

You will have a hands-on demonstration where and you will learn to make an authentic Vietnamese salad and traditional spring rolls from scratch. Your menu might include any of the chef's beautiful Vietnamese salads, whether papaya, banana blossom, or green mango, that spring to life with an array of fresh, aromatic Vietnamese herbs. Her recipe for crisp, succulent spring rolls (cha gio), a staple in every Vietnamese home, will be sure to leave you wanting more. Your menu might include other dishes like cha ca, Hanoi's famous grilled fish. End your meal with seasonal fresh fruit and a green rice dessert and coffee.

Your chef delights in sharing the culinary traditions and recipes of Hanoi with you and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed in Vietnam, as if you are walking into the home of an old family friend. Get a real glimpse into Vietnamese life with this authentic in-home meal and cooking demonstration.

Please note, this experience is in a real home, not a cooking studio. While there will be some hands-on preparation, each individual will not have their own cooking station. This experience is meant to be a visit into a local home to meet a local person and share culture and cuisine together.

Your chef speaks very limited English so her daughter will join you and serve as translator.
