        Excellent service, great value
Excellent service. Met us straight off the air bridge when we flew in from Singapore. We had a tight connection in BKK for our Emirates flight home. The team led us quickly through immigration and right up to our check in desk. All stress removed.

        Experience to remember
Although we had a 30min delay the staff spared no effort to make our cruise an experience to remember. I loved how at the end of it the serving women were dancing with all of us. Great Job!

Very good but instructions need attention
We liked the food, the cruise and the singers. Booking in was not as per instructions which we had followed to the letter i.e. be early and proceed to Pier 3, gate 2. We were one of the first people there and stood and waited overlooking the water for almost 1.5 hours. On boarding the boat we were turned away and sent back inside River city building to a desk to collect our passes. Your instructions need to be clearer that the desk is inside the building across from the gate entrance and customers must go there first even if they have an online booking confirmation and voucher. You need to have a member of staff asking people outside if they have been to the desk. Once aboard we found that we had been allocated a table on the top deck so that was perfect. The food was plentiful and hot and the evening was super.

        Well worth a trip
Our guide, Mai was with Wide Eyed Travel and she picked us up in a vehicle, drove some distance- with ‘Happy Room’ stop at garage and we visited the War Cemetery. This had mainly Australian and British graves, with some Dutch as well. We also visited the Museum which was very well laid out, informative and detailed. We then headed to the train to take us to the Death Railway section of the track. Some original beams are still evident, the curve of the river is evident and you could walk over and around this area. There was also a cave that had housed prisoners. We also had a buffet lunch before heading back.

A Perfect Stay with Stunning City Views
Baiyoke Sky Hotel exceeded my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm hospitality. A special thanks to Ye Yan Naing at check-in, who was extremely helpful and efficient, ensuring a smooth start to my stay. The highlight of my visit was the stunning panoramic city views from my room and the rooftop. The hotel offers fantastic dining options, and the breakfast selection was outstanding. The location is perfect for exploring Bangkok, with markets and malls just a short walk away. The facilities, including the pool and fitness center, were well-maintained. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would definitely stay here again!

        Unadulterated Tourist Trap
This has got to be one of the most egregious scams I have ever experienced with regards to a restaurant. It is obvious this place allures mostly tourists because of the view but to present itself as a "premier dining experience" is not honest. The food was so bad that we had to return certain plates, not once but twice and ended up not eating the main course at all. How the chef there can vaunt his skills is pure hubris to us. But the coup de grâce is the through the roof prices; the cost/benefit ratio is abysmal. We felt thoroughly cheated and will never return! The only redeeming point is the courteousness of the staff, a hallmark of Thailand's exceptional people.

Exceptional crew ensure a memorable cruise
I took my handicapped brother on this tour in a wheelchair. He can walk a little with assistance but for distances over 100m I mostly put him in a wheelchair. There are a lot of people on the wharf boarding these cruises and it can seem a little chaotic, but the boarding staff are really amazing. Really amazing. We got the ticket really quick and were put in a holding area to be boarded. I was expecting that we would sit on the lower level to avoid the stairs, but five crew members carried the wheelchair up three levels so that we could have a view from the top of the boat. As the cruise started, we were allowed to begin the buffet. My brother and I had a bit of a giggle because the mass of people behaved like they hadn't eaten in many days. Once the big rush was done, I was able to dish up for my brother from his wheelchair. As a chef, I can be a little picky over food, but I remind myself that this is a $50 cruise, and the buffet is very good value for money with plenty of choices all clearly labelled. Standout choices were the salmon, some really nice salads and the lemon fish. At the end of the cruise the five crew members arrived at our table with perfect timing and carried the wheelchair down again and back on to the wharf. All of this was done with in a very friendly, efficient and professional way. I cannot overstate how impressed I am with every member of staff on this cruise, and I hope that these wonderful people get to read how happy and grateful we are for this experience. People with handicaps have many limitations with what they can experience and days later my brother still recounts how he enjoyed the two hours on the boat. Thank you.

Great to places see but tour execution was unprofessional
Our guide did not appear knowledgeable about the tour nor did he appear very interested. We only spent about 5 minutes at the cemetery as he was constantly rushing us to get back in the bus, unnecessarily as it turned out as we had a long wait later on for the train. His urging destroyed the sanctity of the war cemetery experience… if I had family members lost on the death railway I would have been very annoyed but I went along with it thinking he knew better. Virtually no commentary was given for the whole day despite 2x held microphones at his immediate right hand side in the minivan, they were never picked up and used for the whole day. I can only assume he didn’t know much about the subject matter. The tour guide slept for a large part of the journey which at one point became dangerous because the bus driver missed an important turn off to Erawan and decided to to attempt a 3 point turn on a narrow mountain road about 80 mtrs after a bend on a steep decline. If a truck was coming around the blind bend it could have been awful. There are no passenger seatbelts in the minvans. On the plus side, the war cemetery, JEATH war museum and Erawan waterfall are must see items. It was just the execution of the tour that was not up to scratch. I could go on but do not wish to make the point any further than I already have.

        Not a "luxury" experience
If you're looking for a "luxury" experience, this may not be for you. The staff was very friendly, the food was good and beer and wine was included, which was great. The ship was very clean and in good shape. We were expecting to have a peaceful dinner while marveling at the wonderful views along the Chao Phraya river. What ruined the experience was the excruciatingly loud and low quality "entertainment" which included screaming into microphones and really loud so called "music". If you like this kind of thing, you're ok. If you're looking for a peaceful dinner while enjoying the views, you'll be disappointed.

        The Best of the Best
Redar, Was there as we departed the plane with her sign with my name on it. That was just the beginning. She made us feel so very comfortable with her as we headed to Imagination. The many suggestions were very much appreciated. She stay with us until she handled us off until the transportation company driver arrived. Redar's work habits are unique, special and her passion for her job truly separates her from most. I hope her company realize they have a diamond in the ruff. So grateful she was available for us. Job exceptional done well. Kind regards, Wiley Carter

We came here in advance because we bought a ticket with dinner. In principle, there is nothing to do in the park unless you need souvenirs. The park itself is very beautiful, bright, but by and large everywhere just sell, sell everything that tourists can buy to remember :)))) In many places you can win a toy, well and take a photo

The restaurant where we bought dinner is huge, I've never seen restaurants like this. There are a lot of people, tables-tables. You are escorted to a table, order drinks for an additional fee and take food from the buffet. There's a lot of food, but of course it's medium quality. Better to have lunch at a nice restaurant and then come to the show.

Everyone's phone is taken before the show. There's a huge line to hand in your phone, and then there's a huge line after the show to pick up your "treasure."

The show itself is very colorful, bright, impressive. Elephants are brought out periodically. Artists try. Stunt dancers hanging from the ceiling. I don't know, we loved it.

wow - what an experience! It's an explosion of color from the very first moment and behind every corner there's a new surprise and a new photo, Insta, selfie motif. The staff are very friendly and you are guided through the event and the locations without stress.

We had booked including a buffet and entered early at 5:45 p.m., which turned out to be very good for us. We were among the first visitors and were able to experience the park almost empty and take advantage of the blue hour.

The buffet is okay, soft drinks, water, tea, coffee are included, everything else costs extra for drinks.

The show is gigantic and a mega spectacle for children with a little surprise at the end.

About the other areas - you can hardly describe it, you have to experience it - period.

You can enjoy the location even in the heaviest rain. Important: your shoes should be allowed to get wet.

I'll be making a YouTube video review of this colorful amusement park in July 2024, so look for it!
In the meantime, trust me, this is the most colorful place on Earth!
The food court has a fantastic selection.
Children will enjoy this more than anyone, but even old, grumpy people will smile.

It turns out that if you bought tickets online, then this is not enough, at the entrance there are a million rules you need to get a coupon in exchange for this online confirmation and exchange it in a separate queue for a ticket and return to a separate queue for entry. We were with a stroller, they made our father go through security separately, thereby separating the family. Inside there are many prohibitions, starting from unfriendly rules if you are with a stroller and a ban on cameras and phones. The attraction itself is a scam in the style of Turkish jewelry stores. I also want to note the pricing, the ticket itself does not give the right to the attractions inside, they must be purchased separately

Dear Parradis, Thank you for your review, though it appears that your booking was not made through our company but on Carnival Magic Website Had you booked with us, we would have provided direct entry tickets to ensure a smooth experience. Additionally, we offer various ticket options, including some with dinner and others as ticket-only packages. It’s up to the customer to select the package that suits them best. For any other concerns, I recommend reaching out to the park directly, as I am unable to address issues related to bookings not made with IAsia Thailand. Best regards, Paul

I would only recommend visiting this place if you have a larger budget and are willing to spend well above normal market rates. The cheapest tickets I could find online were 1,600 BHT per person. The majority of the action takes place from 7:45 when a street parade starts. From there you then move onto the river float parade at 8:30 and then the main attraction being the kingdom of lights opens from 9:30 - 10:30. Before all this, the main activities out with eating the overpriced food is to play the Carnival games dotted around the park which costs 500-600 BHT per person for 2 games. Overall, we regretted spending a good chunk of our backpackers budget on this however could see this being great if you have children as they can enter for for free if under 100cm height.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience at Carnival Magic Theme Park. We appreciate your detailed feedback. We understand that and additional costs may not align with every budget, and we regret to hear that it impacted your visit. However we do sell many ticket options including show only, to dinners and transfers included. Carnival Magic does aim to provide a unique and magical experience, especially for families with children, but we acknowledge that the cost may not suit all visitors. Your insights are valuable, and we will take them into account for future improvements. Thanks, Paul

We didn’t realise this was a children’s event and we paid a lot of money thinking it was a carnival type of event.
However upon arriving we quickly realised that this was not what we hoped for and asked for a refund and we were refused so we then asked if we could give the tickets to someone else who had children and we were told no there’s nothing we can do which is absolutely ridiculous.
The events seems very nice but unless you have children don’t bother and if you do be prepared to spend a fortune and the food buffet is not very good.

Dear Michael, Thanks for your review but it does not mention this is a children's park anywhere on the website, this is for all ages. You entered the park, had the buffet and then you wanted a refund which as you realise is not acceptable. Who would we or you sell the tickets to if you were already in the park and the people inside the park had already purchased a ticket? They also have 2 shows and one is a carnival as well in the streets which maybe you missed We thank you for your review but you cant expect a refund after you went to the park and had the food Thanks, Paul

We visited on a Wednesday night in January - I have to say the theming and immersive element were world class! The buffet was also very good.

I felt what let down the place was the show, not the show so much but the organisation. Firstly our phones were locked away during show - I happily obliged but then in the show several people around us had their phones out and were filming. I didn’t appreciate being told to lock my phone away if the majority of people didn’t. It felt unfair.

The second thing was there were so many children running around during the show which was not only distracting but also dangerous. It’ll be just a matter of time before someone falls down the stairs or goes over the railings.

The third thing was there were so many people up and down in their seats, again very distracting.

All in all, we enjoyed it but the evening was slightly spoiled but the show points I’ve made.

Dear W5167Y, Thanks for taking the time to post your comments and for your positive notes about the food and the park itself. We are extremely sorry to hear about the show. All guests must lock their phone as they ban recording and we have advised carnival magic to also keep an eye on the audience in the future. For the children and people in their seats, we can not control this and they will look in a way how to combat this. However I believe this was an isolated experience, Regards, Nick

Recent park next to Fantasea. The concept is the same, but more developed and above all original. The street parade creates a good atmosphere where many tourists participate. The theater where the show takes place in the form of a parade is extremely impressive. The huge LED screen gives the impression that the entire theater is moving. The floats are huge and well decorated. Having seen many shows around the world, this one is worthy of Las Vegas or Macau. Then walk through an outdoor circuit of illuminations. Some will find this too kitsch, but it is a Thai vision to be taken in context. Bonus: visiting the toilet.😁

Carnival Magic was great, a really fun experience for both kids and adults. I would recommend reaching there by 5pm when it opens so you have enough time to see everything. Theres a really nice soft play area for kids on the 1st floor. Also, don't miss the washrooms they're a real treat to visit!

Your recommendation to arrive by 5pm is very helpful for future visitors, ensuring they have enough time to explore everything. We're glad you enjoyed the soft play area for kids and the unique washrooms – they truly are a treat! We hope to welcome you back to Carnival Magic for more fun and memorable moments. Our experience as a couple wasn’t the best! The lighting and the effort gone into making the place look attractive is appreciated however the pricing of the tickets is very expensive for what the place is. We went based on reviews that the excursion isn’t only for children however we disagree. This was definitely designed for a much younger audience and was underwhelming as most of the rides were children only too.
The show would have been better if there was some dialogue involved to tell the story instead of purely light/costume based.
Staff are very helpful and polite and there are many places to grab ice cream or water.
If you’re interested in something very visual based, you may be happy with it but we were underwhelmed by the experience considering the money we paid.
