About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Britt22jones0 contributionsGood TourReally well organized trip. They even made sure we saw the Merlion. It is a very very large group and the bus / tour guide you start with, may not be the one you end with. They treat the group as one, so as long as you have the right sticker they will make sure you make it along each stop. They are very timely, so you may be rush but that’s be cause the shows are limited. Transportation home was a little chaotic. Fast paced, may not be suitable for people who like to stroll leisurely.Written 8 February 2025
- Y2320GTbobk0 contributionsPleasant afternoon in AyutthaysReally enjoyed Johnnys tour, the temples and river cruise were a great way to spend the afternoon. Loved the 100 yr old Resturant early dinner too. This was my second Ayutthaya tour with Johnny, did it with him last year with other family members. Wouldn’t miss it!Written 7 February 2025
- W6083OTjackiem0 contributionsWorth the long day.Good to visit this historic sight. Felt rushed at the museum but to get everything in and lunch (very good) and get back within 11 hours was tough. Wouldn’t bother with the ‘speedboat’ part.. only 5 minutes trip. Be prepared for a very long day. Worth it.Written 5 February 2025
- itsrachbiotch0 contributionsNot a food tour but a tour that does include some food. Our experience with Naylah and her Tuk-Tuk Boy Band was nothing short of exceptional. Naylah provided insightful information about Bangkok’s rich history, Thai cuisine, cultural customs, and the stunning sights of Old Town, 24 hour flower market and Chinatown. Her knowledge and passion for the city made the tour both engaging and educational. Mr. Sombat, our Tuk-Tuk driver, was friendly and professional, offering a unique and comfortable way to explore the city. His thoughtful gesture of dropping us off at our hotel, providing complementary water, cold wash cloth on a hot evening and a safe place to leave additional items in the tuktuk while we toured the sites added to the convenience and overall positive experience. The tour was well-organized, safe, and reliable, with an excellent mix of sightseeing and culinary experiences. The inclusion of delicious local food and a thoughtful gifts made it even more special. One of the highlights was Naylah’s guidance on temple etiquette, where she carefully explained the proper ways to show respect, along with essential do’s and don’ts. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable way to explore Bangkok. It’s a fantastic experience that combines history, culture, and amazing food, all while being guided by a knowledgeable and friendly team.Written 3 February 2025

- CrazyQueens0 contributionsNot great…Mediocre be honest… The guide did not talk much, not sure because a mic was broken or he was just tired… there was a burn rubber smell in the bus on return. The boat trip was lovely however no body danced.Written 1 February 2025
- HelenD2020 contributionsGreat tourTour was great. Picked up promptly from our hotel. Spicy was our guide and he was fantastic. So informative about the temples we visited. As we went on a Sunday there was a market in Old town Phuket which was an added bonus.Written 23 January 2025
- Jordan B0 contributionsA peek at the past and questions about a mystery.Good opportunity to walk through classic Thai architecture from 1800’s. This property included buildings from Ayutthaya and Bangkok that were dismantled, brought to the site and rebuilt. Thompson, an architect by training, improvised and added modern elements. The tour, although mandatory, was informative and helped to control the flow of tourists.Written 22 January 2025
- Sandra13360 contributionsSpectacular Ancient CityWhat an amazing place to visit while in Bangkok. Take your time looking at everything. Souvenirs stores and a couple of restaurants there. They have a few vendors selling ice pops along the park which is convenient since it gets so hot.Written 19 January 2025
- Sightseer578453246480 contributionsExperience Bangkok carfree in 8hrs!This is a must! Our driver Sam greeted us at the airport, tok us to meet our private guide Cindy at city center Bangkok. My girls and I had our own private car, which is super convenient. Cindy is very kind and she'll realty take care' of you and listen to whatever you want to do.. We definitely highly recommend! 🥰Written 15 January 2025

- andole50 contributionsHistory of the railwayA good trip to learn the history of the railway that goes from Thailand to Myanmar. The guide was alright, the transport was good even though it takes a long time to get there from Bangkok. They also tried to pick up everyone at their hotels, which was not very clear when communicating with the organiser.Written 2 January 2025
- 30gild0 contributionsTry a different operatormassively overpriced tour. Unfortunately, our guide, while knowledgeable, was extremely inexperienced. It was very, very hot, over 90 degrees. Our guide had to keep asking for directions, and could not figure out how to use the bike lock that came with the rather lousy bikes that were provided for us. The bike part of the tour was very short, and the tour should not be called a bike tour. Ayutthaya itself is fascinating, but we could easily have managed the visit on our own. In regards to the tour operator - late on the day before the tour, the tour operator asked us to change the day of the tour, and when we let them know that wasn't possible, they asked us to change the time, which also wasn't possible. They then agreed to the original booking, but it was clear that they had an issue providing an experienced guide, though they seemed to be blaming the issue on the bikes. The tour operator was also very uncommunicative - they would send a text via whatsApp, I would reply, and then there would be a significant delay (nearly an hour) before their next communication.Written 28 December 2024

The staff on the boat was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip. Canoeing through a cave to a lagoon was the highlight of the trip (especially for our 3 year old daughter). The boat wasn’t too full and we were allowed to bring a pram for our little baby, so she could sleep onboard. Lunch was delicious with fried rice, onion rings, chicken hot wings, grilled fish, soup and fried vegetables. There was soft drinks, water, toast, biscuits and bananas throughout the trip. James Bond Island (if you haven’t been) is a tourist trap with shop after shop of locals trying to sell you the same (literally the same) souvenirs. There were hundreds of people on the small beach (very overcrowded), but thankfully we only had to spend 30 min there. Overall a nice trip. Don’t pay more than 1500 baht / adult! We bought the trip through the hotel manager that told us, he gave us a “special price” at 2000 baht / adult (kids are free), but after talking to several other people on the boat, most got the price down to 1500 baht / adult.

So James Bond Island was part of a tour including Hong Island (canoeing), Panyee Island (Muslim Village in the water - had lunch there), Panak Island (Cave to see stalactites), and Naka Island (chill at the beach).
There’s nothing to do on the island except see the island formation that was in the 1974 James’s Bond movie and take pictures….regardless…being a fan…I was only too excited.
The canoeing is boring …but I guess it’s part of the tour package.
Lunch was good (but remember no pork or alcohol served). Nothing else really to do there.
Naka beach was relaxing…can sit on the beach and have a drink or swim (water was awesome). One can also jet ski there (about 1200 bath min …but not those shady operators that you find on the public beach.
Overall it was a good day outing for me

The island is beautiful, the monkey temple interesting. We couldnt enjoy the tour as the weather wasn't favourable- it was raining heavily and the long boat wasn't well covered to fend off the rain.Lunch at the fishing village tasty.

Booked the James Bond Island tour online with BJ Canoeing.
Pick up 7.15am bang on time! Reached Ao Por pier at 8.40 & embarked on speedboat at 9.35. Lots of tours go from here so there's lots of organising and coloured wristbands. Free tea/coffee and biscuits while you wait.
Mac our tour leader spoke English.
Minibus left port at 16.15 to head back to Kata beach.
The tour was excellent from start to finish - really enjoyed the hidden lagoon, canoeing, lunch at a floating village restaurant and of course looking for Scaramanga!

This is a must do when in Phukett. The crew very good one crew member Bas will never be forgotten. The kayaks going through the caves was very memorable they open up into lush lagoons never had a better time on a tour. On the boat the buffet was excellent. Highly recommend this if you come to Phukett.

We waited in our lobby for 30+ mins for the hotel pick up. Got rushed into a van immediately after the brought us from the hotel. Had a 2 hour drive to the temple. They gave us 15 mins there??? I used half the time in the restroom and wasn’t even able to enjoy any of the experience. They threatened to leave us there if we were late back to the bus. That is insane to me. I understand you have a lot of people doing this however you made our experience horrible. I wish I never gave any money to this company. I don’t think we even had a guide. They just said here’s your timeline be back or be left. Not to mention it is not a traditional long tail boat as you have in the main picture. Such a waste of time and money and extreme disappointment.

Amazing day ! Completely different experience from phi phi islands tour. Stunning scenery and crystal clear green waters. Was worried about doing the canoeing but guides rowed for us. A must if you are in Phuket
Only criticism is that eating the meal with the tour took away business from local restaurants and found local stall holders further in the island were empty which was sad to see.

I’ve wanted to visit where “The Man with the Golden Gun” was filmed for many years and this did not disappoint. The island is actually well managed considering how iconic it is (it’s everywhere on the Internet when you look up Thailand island tours, even after 45+ years and the deaths of the 2 principal stars). The sea canoeing was effectively a taxi service around the islands nearby (not the actual JB island itself) and the swimming after the JB island was a nice relaxing end to the day on a white sandy beach with clear sea.

Truly fantastic tour! We thoroughly enjoyed James Bond Island (arrived early morning, low season, no crowds!), but the highlight of the trip was the breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful canoe trip through the mangroves. Stunning! The cave walk through to a hidden lagoon was a trip back millions of years in time: again, simply amazing!
One of the best excursions we have ever made. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Really nice trip with an informative guide and driver. We will definitely recommend this to everyone we know. The lunch was bountiful, fresh, and tasty. We have a 7 year old and all staff on the boat excursion went out of their way for her and other small children.

Thanks..

If you are going to James Bond Island with a group all the ventures should be included with it such as the snorkeling and sea kayaking

Hi, we would like to join the tour - not from very beggining, but in the moment of boarding on speedboat to James Bond Island. Would it be possible? What is the time of boarding? Thank you

I think that is the beginning of the tour. The only one that can really answer this is who you book it thru.
