          Amazing half day!
Great half day Trip. An absolute must do if in Pattaya. Van pickup direct from hotel with about a 30 minute drive to the location. Upon arrival greeted with complimentary snacks tea and coffee. After an initial briefing we went to meet the elephants. We’re able to feed them bananas and watermelon, scrub them in mud and wash them down. They offer free use of handmade tops to wear if you dont want to get your personal clothes wet/dirty and have showers to wash down afterwards. They also have a photographer that will take photos of you with a DSLR whenever you’d like, and they will send you a link later to download them all (no additional charge). Interactive paper making experience out of elephant poop and a tie-dye. At the end we have a fresh complementary thai lunch and was gifted a nice tote bag before departing.

          Amazing experience
We had a fabulous time on our visit to the EJS. We were lucky to have a small group and so got plenty of quality time with the elephants. We felt that the elephants were very well treated and looked after. The guides were very informative and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed washing the elephants. We liked the additional activities of tie dying and paper making. Shower facilities, lockers etc were great and lunch was amazing. Pickup bang on time. Definitely recommend this trip.

          Amazing!!!
This was hands down the BEST animal experience I’ve ever had! The service was amazing, and we had so much fun! But if you don’t like mud, feel free to miss out on the incredible experience. 😁

          Amazing elephant sanctuary
Fabulous day out picked up from my hotel in Rayong miles away. Arrived at the sanctuary and were given a health and safety chat regarding the elephants and how to behave and not with them. We fed them, took them for a walk in the woods then took them for a scrub down, we climbed up on a UK but and got the hose out then went into the bath pool and splashed her gently an d she soaked me. Then the baby gave me a flower. Food was fabulous and company and staff were great. Got some nice little.gifts every penny helps at this sanctuary. It really is a very humbling and amazing experience

          Family half day elephant experience.
Absolutely amazing. Picked up from hotel in Pattaya. Approx 35 to 40 minutes transfer. Meeting the elephants was such an honour. They are well looked after by the staff at the sanctuary. Excellent value for money. When your 12 year old son says that is one of the best things he has done, that makes it all worth while. Well done to all the staff. A big thank you.

UNETHICAL & CRUEL. Elephant repeatedly STABBED with scissors by handler at Pattaya ‘sanctuary’
Elephant repeatedly stabbed by handler at Pattaya ‘sanctuary’ 5th Jan 2025. Extremely upsetting and concerning. My family and I visited the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary after conducting thorough research, drawn in by their claims of ethical and sustainable elephant care. However, our experience was horrifying and was a stark contrast to their advertised values. During our visit, we witnessed an incident that left us shaken and my young daughter in tears. One of the ‘care’ workers was seen stabbing an elephant with scissors on the back of its leg to control its movement as it attempted to walk in its ‘natural’ habitat. The worker also hit the elephant on its trunk and shouted at him aggressively. Despite our immediate outrage and intervention, the staff on site denied any knowledge of the incident and could not provide us with information about who was in charge to report the matter. Additionally, we learned from another care worker that the elephants are privately owned and brought to the sanctuary to get over their exploitation to tourists and be fed and medicated and then sent back to the owners for further exploitation. We observed signs of neglect, including noticeable eye infections on a couple of elephants that indicated a lack of proper veterinary attention. The ‘sanctuary’ is NOT a jungle, the area in which the elephants live is really quiet a small area. There are privately owned areas around it which make it appear larger. There is very little space for the elephants to roam freely. This experience has led us to conclude that the sanctuary operates more as a money-making tourist attraction rather than a true haven for elephants. If such abusive behaviour occurred in front of us, it raises serious concerns about the treatment of the elephants behind closed doors. There are three other venues under this company banner and we can only assume the same business model applies - exploit elephants and exploit well-meaning tourists who want to see them protected and care for.  I strongly advise against visiting Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Pattaya. What was promised as an ethical experience turned out to be a sham, and the welfare of the elephants is clearly not a priority. Very upsetting experience. DO NOT VISIT.

Amazing day (morning) we had, the kids absolutely loved it. The staff were amazing and we all had such fun. Feed the elephants, wash them with mud and then go swimming with them. Another fun part was making the poop 💩 paper and the Tie-dye. The food available at the end of the visit was delicious. Well worth the visit.

          Elephant Conservation, Excellent
Amazing, conservation sanctuary for elephants. NO Riding. I did the AM half day tour. Early start with a 6.30 pick up from hotel (and drop back to hotel) I'd recommend this if you have kids / children as it is cooler, sometimes less people on the AM trip, also you are back by noon so you still have lots of the day left. Location is approx 30 minutes outside of Pattaya/Jontien (after all pick-up). Bring with you - sunscreen + bug spray, older clothes or Change of clothes, swim shorts or something to wear in the water. On arrival there is tea, coffee or water that's complimentary. Nice new covered visitor area. There are clean toilets+ showers & changing area. Lockers are available ( deposit required, yes you get it back) . There is an introduction by the staff, including safety details. WASH YOUR HANDS. Then you meet and feed the elephants . You can then make paper out of elephants poo !! It's hygienic so don't worry! You can then do some tie-dye & leave it to dry in the sun. Then change (if you want, water shoes or bare feet. Swim shorts/suit old t-shirt) as you will help give the elephants a mud bath !! Then go in the elephant swimming pool , with the elephants, to wash them off. All good fun. Back to the visitor centre to change or shower and have a nice Thai lunch (massaman , stir-fry, spicy, spring rolls, rice , noodles, vegetable , fresh Papaya salad + + drinks). There was plenty of time during the experience to take photos with the elephants & the staff will help you by taking the pictures on your camera or phone for you. There is a small gift shop and I thought the prices were good. No pressure selling. The staff were very friendly & professional & it's a very good experience. I booked via Booking .com , there are other venues on there but I would highly recommend this one 👍🏼. Then the ride back to the hotel. At the end of each day the venue upload all the pictures they themselves took of the AM/PM tours so you may find some natural pics of you with the elephants here as well, would can access via the venue FB page . Hope you enjoy like I did, 👍🏼

Is a excellent place to go out of busy cutting Pattaya. When you around of the city just jump out and meet good, friendly people who care of beautiful elephants.

I totally enjoyed my visit here. It was amazing to get up close to these magnificent animals. They all seem to be well looked after and no rides are permitted which is great. I would definitely recommend visiting this place.

          Amazing Morning 🐘
Fantastic experience - the morning went too fast. We got to feed, mud bath & wash the elephants, make paper from 💩 and make food. the host was great and explained everything we even had a great lunch and a free elephant bag. Think there should be donation boxes around the meeting point and a bigger gift shop. Truly enjoyed the morning. 🐘Sue 🐘

          Great experience, wonderful place
This place is really nice, and they treat the Elephants well. The Elephants are not penned in and are free to roam the 500 acres of land which the centre possesses. The guide I had was great and informative. You get to bathe the elephants as well as to get in the water with them and splash them. A great morning out, not far from Pattaya. I highly recommend this excursion.

          Wonderful place!
We did the elephant feeding program, and it was excellent. Your welcome staff was so warm (didn't get his name), and you can feel he is happy with his work which is also a clear reflection of the good environment. Secondly your guides Yot and Ching / Chang is super friendly and knowledgable on the elephants. It was a truly educational and ethical experience. All your elephants look very relaxed and well taken care of. The extra treat is knowing that the elephant poop can be used in paper material so nothing goes to waste. Keep up the good work!

This idyllic sanctuary set in the heart of a vast jungle that provides a natural and safe haven for rescued elephants who have spent their lives being abused. This is an ethical sanctuary that follows "saddle off model" which means they do not force these majestic and peaceful creatures into giving rides forcefully with hooks.
We learned that one of the elephants suffered a devastating injury to her hip following a hook penetrating her pelvis, another suffered a huge scar to the front of her head where a hook was Stabbed into her skull, all in the name of Tourism...
This is a heartfelt reminder that as tourists, we should avoid supporting activities like elephant rides or shows, as they often involve mistreatment of these gentle giants. Instead, visiting sanctuaries like this is a meaningful way to connect with and support rescued animals. Here, you can walk alongside the elephants, feed them, and even enjoy playful moments in the water with them, all with no riding involved at all and in THEIR habitat. Each elephant has a keeper who lives on Site with their elephant and allows us tourists to share this unforgettable experience all in tranquility and at peace. Currently the sanctuary has 4 elephants; 3 femals (Somkid born 1967, Thangtai 1978, Pang 1986 and the newest addition rescued 2024) and 1 male (Frank who is the baby at 10 years old!) They are currently saving money to rescue a pregnant female from the floating market.. so please remember the torture that these babies suffer and support the no riding and use of no hooks.
We booked directly with the sanctuary and paid when we arrived, we highly recommended for animal lovers and families alike, the elephants are free to roam the site after the feeding/bathing - it was a very special moment and one we shared on our wedding day. We wouldn't have wanted to have been anywhere else!
Hot food/water was provided as part of the ticket cost and drinks/tourists bits available for purchase. Showers also available post elephant bathing, don't forget your insect repellant but don't spray anything on your hands the elephant skin is sensitive. The guides also take all your photos free of charge which was unexpected - but please respect the elephants and treat them with care. Thanks to Miss A for making us feel so special and welcome, to Abba the lead keeper, to Takk our guide and too all the staff for giving us an experience of a lifetime, you are all beautiful people and we are proud to have supported a good cause.

The tour was well organised, and the elephants were well treated, but they were trained to entertain the tourists. You are offered a leisurely walk with the elephants where I imagined they would be able to do as they please while you watch them, but actually they were forced to pose so our endless group of tourists (30 people) could take picture after picture. Even bathing them was a circus, where they performed tricks and blew water at you. It was still a nice opportunity to get to know the elephants and I assume they have a much better and easier time than if they had to work elsewhere, but these elephants are working. The carers did seem to care for them, and my kids had a great time, but it was not what I Imagined. They claimed difficult to believe things such as ‘the elephant loves hugging people’, sure he loves it when he gets a treat and is forced to do it so people can take a picture.

Outstanding experience. Staff could not be friendlier, pleasant and funny. Each elephant had it own unique story and personality, very enlightening. Never before been able to feed, pet, hug, wash and play with so many elephants at once, at the end in their watering pond. Lunch at end delicious. Only reason 4 and not 5 star is wait after arrival. Had to wait almost an hour for other vans to arrive before beginning experience. Overall Excellent experience with elephants 👍🏻

The staff were amazing and really made sure everyone made the most of it. Very funny and happy experience.

The elephant’s welfare comes first 100%, they don’t force them to do anything and pre-warn everyone of certain behaviours, like which ones like to be touched and how etc.

The meal was so good too that is included, private showers for after the elephant mud bath, free drinks and lite snacks, it’s such a well run setup. The photographer too, which is included in the price you pay takes really good photos, so you can concentrate on the elephants. You get the photos online for free after.

We bought a T-Shirt for only 300thb, it supports them and is a comfy good quality T-shirt.

We went on a private trip from Bangkok to meet up with others at the site for the afternoon half day tour. Site has good accessibility and help would be offered if needed. Spending the time feeding and bathing the elephants is a unique experience and well worth every penny. Very good toilets and showers on site. You do not have to get wet and dirty but if you want to get stuck in you will have a great time and the shower afterwards will get you clean. Lockers cost 100Bhart but you get this back when you return the key. The lunch provided was of a high quality and enough choice for even a fussy eater. There was water tea and coffee available on arrival. You may need to wait for the morning session to finish before the afternoon session starts so do allow some extra time for your travels. There is a photographer taking pictures throughout the session which are then uploaded to facebook. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every moment.

This was on my wife's bucket list and we had the opportunity so took it eagerly.
I was a bit concerned that it would fall short and my wife wouldn't have the experience she had hoped for.
I didn't need to have worried as from arranging pick up and drop off to the afternoon at the sanctuary it couldn't have gone any better.
We would 100% recommend to anyone who wanted to share a bit of time with the elephants and can truly say that the staff was extremely professional throughout.
        Thank you.

My sister did not want to go to the Tiger park, or Dolphins or Crocodile - he puts his head in a crocodile mouth. But she liked the idea of the Elephant Park because they help the elephants not exploit them. It is such a shame that the forests are being cut down. Especially in Indonesia, perhaps a boycott of palm oil would help. But back to the day out. Good tour, nice half day, walked around, saw elephants, learned a bit about what the park is for, had some nice food. I'm glad we went.

The three of us had an excellent time on our afternoon tour; the process of feeding and bathing the elephants was accessible to small children and to one of our group who has limited mobility in knee braces, which was great. (Note that it would likely not be accessible to someone in a wheelchair or with severe mobility issues.)

The guides were friendly and knowledgeable - they gave us a lot of information about the elephants and were happy to answer more questions. The food was delicious as well!!

I also want to commend the organizers of the tour for how flexible and helpful they were. We had to switch our pick-up location less than an hour before the scheduled pick-up time and they happily accomodated our change, making the process totally painless.

This was my second elephant experience at a sanctuary in Thailand and while the scenery was perhaps less beautiful than the one I attended in Chiang Mai (I'm biased because I love the mountains), the staff was wonderful and the elephants seem to be really well taken care of. If you're looking for a day trip from Bangkok, I highly recommend taking a bus to Pattaya and taking this tour!!

Very disappointed in the photographer, so don't be taken in by promise that there is no need to take pictures, especially if you are a solo traveller.
The keepers actually did a better job.

He took a total of 199 pictures of which I appear in 4, 2 of which I hunted him down down to take for me.
It spoilt the day when I saw the pictures.

It was nice to get up close and interact with the elephants, and hopefully the money I spent will go to continue in their care.

A really fun and enjoyable afternoon with the happy elephants. The program was very well organised, informative and varied in its activities - feeding the elephants, giving them a mud bath, washing them and then making paper with elephant poop! Afternoon interspersed with refreshments and a home-cooked Thai meal. Totally recommend spending an afternoon at this sanctuary.
