        Great tour
Was a very fun and relaxing experience. Our guide Tommy spoke good English and let us know exactly what we were doing. Unfortunately the big Buddha is covered by scaffolding at the moment but aside from that it was a great tour.

        Ayutthaya Temples Tour
Fantastic tour of the beautiful Ayutthaya Temples! Our guide, Ken, was simply the BEST! He was very attentive to our needs as well as very knowledgeable of the history of the first capital of Thailand. Ken was funny, charming, upbeat and so gracious. A day I will always remember. Such nice people in our small group too. Highly recommend!

We had a great time on this tour. Our guide, Na, was terrific! She was cheerful, helpful, knowledgable and a fantastic photographer. I have never had so many wonderful photos taken on a trip. She kept my phone camera a lot of the time and suggested poses and made them look flattering. And she was so much fun to be around; we are smiling widely in all the photos. The Bridge on the River Kwai was very interesting and we walked along the whole bridge. We even got a photo with a train going by. After we paid a little extra to spend 45 minutes in a well done museum where we learned interesting history that we wish would have known before. After we got home we were looking up all kinds of things and are looking forward to watching two movies about the making of this bridge by prisoners of war held captive by the Japanese. Then we went on to the lovely Erawan falls. It wasn’t quite as beautiful as we thought it would be because the water was brown, not blue like in the pictures. And there was a lot of mud. We went up three levels and Na took all kinds of wonderful photos. We swam in the third level and Na helped us get in and out of the water. It’s a bit treacherous and there is a lot of walking involved, even though we only went up to the third level. The swimming was lots of fun!

I would love to give this tour a 5 but I can’t because of the poor organization of WanderSiam. They are a new group and I hope they are able to improve. The start of the tour was a bit of a disaster because we had to take a long taxi ride to get to their office and they gave us the wrong address, which caused all kinds of stress and added to the cost of our taxi. The night before they told us we had to be there 15 minutes earlier than planned and we were unable to have breakfast at our hotel, which starts at 6:30. The first 2.5 hours were a taxi ride with a driver who was pleasant and good but the only word he knew in English was “toilet”.

Once we met Da at the River Kwai things went from stressful to wonderful. The price was very reasonable because we were with the taxi driver and/or the guide for almost 12 hours. We got back to Bangkok at 7:00 pm. Luckily we met a very interesting young man, who was with us on the tour and we chatted the whole time on the way back. I would highly recommend this tour if WanderSiam could improve the startup.

Great daytrip. It was just 4 of us in an SUV, so it felt more like a private tour. Only downside is that 2 of us had to stay in the rear raw seats which honeslty aren't very confortable for so many hours (about 7h in the car round trip). The itinerary was well organized, we visited the war museum which is just a bunch of old photos, but the WW2 history if the place is worth the visit. Then we took a longtail boat cross the river to the bridge, Tony our guide gave us enough time to walk around and take some pictures, than off we went to the waterfalls which are as they describe them.

If I could give them 10 out of 5 I would. I was the only one on the tour and I showed up a little early. My tour guide Mam or Auntie greeted me at the meeting point and we headed off to the tour. Since I was early Mam was kind enough to let me ride the train and paid for my ticket to the River Kwai. She rode with me and told me all about the history of the train. Once we arrived, we walked the bridge on the River Kwai and she continued to tell me about the history of the bridge. We then visited the museum as she also paid for my entry fee there too. After that we headed to Erawan National Park. On the way to Erawan Falls we stopped for lunch where I got to taste authentic Thai local food. I paid for my own lunch, but it was only 100 baht. Once we arrived to the park(entry fee also paid for), auntie bought snacks as it was a long hike ahead. She waited for me at the base where I then hiked all 7 levels. I was given 2 hours, but it only took 1 hour and 30 minutes. (If you would like to stay longer to swim just ask). After that we headed back to Bangkok and stopped when needed. With that said, I would 100% recommend especially for the price compared to others.

Had a brilliant day. The Jeath museum, although simple, captured the mood of what prisoners went through while forced to work in captivity. The boat trip was fast and exhilarating, and it was exciting to see the Bridge over the River Kwai as it first came into view. We were lucky that a train passed over as we were on the bridge which added to the sense of history.
The waterfalls were beautiful. I only walked to just beyond Tier 5 as I was finding it very HOT, but the views were very lovely and each waterfall looked very inviting.
So lots to see and do but really the day was made by the excellent guide, Koi, and driver, Nu. I was the only person on the trip and it still went ahead. Koi was interesting, well informed, funny, caring and just the sweetest person. I loved the biscuits she gave me. Nu, who didn't speak English, was always helpful and friendly. He supplied me with lots of iced water and wipes to cool back down.
A great day topped off by excellent friendly and professional company.

Smooth organization and set up - arranged pick up at hotel and tour guide was really friendly, eager to tell you about JEATH and the railway. That said, the museum and railway experience felt underwhelming as there was minimal English translation inside.

Erawan Falls was the highlight - being able to go into the waters, and experience a "fish spa" (fish will nibble and feels like a tickle). There are 7 levels you can go up on (level 2 looks the biggest while level 4 has a "slide"). Takes about 30 mins to walk from bottom to level 5. Overall, it was more like mini waterfalls than a majestic/grand feeling.

Tour guide was really great in showing us around and giving us more time at Erawan Falls. Perhaps it was my overhyped expectations and the price I paid (about $100 CAD), but I found it average, especially if it's to take up a whole day (coming from bangkok).

Tour guide and driver was great though! No complaints on that end.

The tour didn't feel worth the money. Only one bottle of water was provided for a full day outdoors. The tour guide was kind and took lots of pictures for us, however she kept yelling for me to get in the water when I didn't feel comfortable to. The tour was very rushed. All in all, the sites were interesting and beautiful, but I would have preferred a less stressful environment and more amenities for the price we paid for the tour (like lunch and more waters). Still a solid 4 stars.

Despite that I requested the River Kwai/Erawan Falls tour just one day in advance and ended up the only traveler, the company accommodated me in outstanding fashion. Both the driver and tour guide Ms. Nakwan did an outstanding job. Both sites are well worth a visit, given the history behind Kwai and the sublime, jewel-like beauty of the falls and pools. Some travel time involved, but definitely worth it in my opinion.

I had a great time, the highlight is the waterfalls where the guide was able to point out all of the best places and get many great pictures of me! Overall had a great day and learned a lot about Thailand through the museum, bridge and boat tour as well. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting. One of the tour guides even used a translator to recommend me many spots on the way out of Bangkok. Excited to visit his recommendations as well!

This was a very long day starting at 7.15am and ending around 7.15pm, with over 7 hours spent in a mini van. We arrived at our pick up point and were taken to the mini van by the driver and our guide via the phone audio greeted us and told us she would see in 2 and a half hours. The start of the tour was a museum about the building of the Bridge over the River Kwai. Then a 5 minute boat ride to the Bridge over the River Kwai. We walked along the bridge and watched as the train came. All this took about an hour. Then we were put back in the mini van for over an hour and taken to Earwan Waterfalls.
We spent 3 hours here. The waterfalls were quite lovely but swimming became an issue as the fish were biting our feet as soon as they touched the water. Hence we didn’t want to swim at the waterfalls. We bought our own lunch here before we left for the long long trip back. The only thing provided was 1 bottle of water of which we had to ask for.

Dear Doriana, We are sorry to hear that our River Kwai & Erawan Falls full day tour did not fully meet your expectations. Kanchanaburi is located approx. 140 KM west of Bangkok, so it’s indeed quite a long drive; 2,5 – 3 hours one way depending on the traffic situation. The fish at the waterfalls do not bite, but they love to nibble on your feet. It’s a kind of free natural spa experience. If you don’t want fish nibbling you, then just keep moving in the water and they will stay away from you. Despite your somewhat disappointing expernience on our tour, we hope you had a wonderful time in Thailand!
