Having our guide made all the difference
I am so glad I booked a guide with YourThaiGuide. Our guide Yutt is energetic, friendly, and wealth of knowledge. He made our family feel safe while on the adventure to experience Bangkok like a local. He was professional, anticipated our needs and gave us options for sights, food, transport, pace. Having Yutt made such a big difference in our experience. Will definitely book with YourThaiGuide for a guide like Yutt again.

Peach -- Geat guide and tour
Peach was our guide for two days. Train/floating markets one day, and river Kwai and Hellfire Pass the next (this was a long day and required 6hrs of overtime). Peach was on time and driver was safe with late model, well maintained van. Peach was entertaining and full of local insight that you would never get on your own. She was very attentive, made sure everyone was safe, and gave special help to the least mobile traveler in our group. Good job Peach!

          3 day tour of Bangkok!
Yuut is an excellent guide with a detailed knowledge of Bangkok. Yuut was happy to offer suggestions of places to visit and showed us all the main tourist sites as well as some areas more popular with locals. Whether it was China town, the Buddhist temples or the train + floating market Yuut was very knowledgeable. We travelled using boats, taxis, tuk tuk and the underground. He negotiated good prices for us and introduced us to local cuisine. I couldn’t ask for a better guide and I would recommend Yuut to anybody visiting Bangkok!

Fantastic day with Kiki, a super guide for a day in Bangkok!
We had a fantastic day with Kiki. At 11:00 am she was waiting for us at the hotel and she was beaming from the first minute when she welcomed us. With over 10 years of experience, she knows her way around everywhere. Of course we went to the palace, she arranged everything and explained where needed. We could plan the day ourselves but we followed her advice. She arranged a tuk-tuk (mister Wath) who stayed with us for the rest of the day and took us everywhere. The flower market, eating various leaves and fruits that made you relaxed along with various kinds of drinks made from rice. Just along the side of the road at small stalls. We had a wonderful lunch at a fine restaurant. Kiki was the icing on the cake, we had fun with her all day and took beautiful pictures and at 7:00 pm we were dropped off back at our hotel. Kiki, thanks for a very nice day!!!

          Great day with Apple
Apple made our day wonderful. She showed us everything we wanted to see, we used all types of transport, we ate at a local restaurant and experienced much more than we expected. Apple is very friendly, professional and fun at the same time. She also figured out when it was too hot and we needed ice cream. If you don't have much time to visit the city, we highly recommend the great guide, Apple.

Great way to learn and experience Bangkok
Choochai gave us a great tour of Bangkok, we loved seeing the temples, the boat ride was fun, and we had great local food at a non touristy place. We learned a lot about the history of Thailand and also about Buddhism. Definitely recommend!

          Wonderful guide
I would highly recommend having a guide. Peach was wonderful and knowledgeable with all the areas we visited. We most likely would not have visited the areas if it was not for Peach. Hope our paths will one day cross again.

Apple was the perfect guide and Narong the perfect driver!
Our guide Apple and driver Narong were excellent!!! I cannot say it enough…from picking us up at the Laem Chabang cruise terminal to dropping us back off, we were well taken care of. In fact, we want to take the with us to be our tour guide and driver at all of our stops. Day 1 was all about the city of Bangkok. We saw temples, palace, lunch, Jim Thompson silks, and more. Day 2 was probably my favorite, as we stayed in Bangkok overnight, we were able to start out before 6am and took the train to the train market and then onto the floating market. Experiences we will never forget. Absolutely loved it!

Thai Apple Pie . Our Bangkok guide, Apple, was absolutely delightful, Informative, flexible, and knowledgeable.
April was our very special, delightful guide for Bangkok. She really was able to easily work around some snafus we encountered- for example our cruise ship bus dropped us off in Bangkok about an hour late. April was there patiently waiting and sprang into action. We took the Sky Train to the Smart Ferry. I highly recommend transporting this way to get the real feel of Bangkok, plus it’s fast and efficient, no sitting in traffic. After a delicious lunch we went to the Grand Palace. Unfortunately, first one of our family members got heat stroke then another family member later also suffered with the heat. April quickly and efficiently handled both set backs with skill, caring and concern. She arranged a short cut through the palace by speaking to the security guards, provided ice, water, rest, a place with air conditioning, etc. She was not flustered in the least. April has very good English and is quite knowledgeable about Bangkok and its history. We would request her again and even offered her to visit us in the U. S.

          Good tour with Apple
We had a great day touring the main attractions in Bangkok with Apple. We are glad we booked a guide as there was so much to see and we were using public transport as we felt it would avoid being stuck in traffic using taxis...and this definitely suited us.

The amazing Gwen and the fantastic city of Bangkok
We only had a short stay in Bangkok so wanted to maximise our time and tick off certain items on our must see list. This led us to select this company and we had the absolute fortune to receive Gwen as our tour guide for the day. We had read several reviews raving about her prowess and we can now confirm them as true. Gwen communicated with us well before we arrived in Bangkok and arranged to collect us from our hotel in Sukhumvit. We thought we were early waiting for Gwen, but she was already there waiting for us! Firstly, she walked us to the nearest BTS station and explained how to buy tickets, how to understand and plan our needed routes. She guided us by train to the dock for a water taxi, where we went by river passed Wat Arun and various other sites to the Grand Palace. Throughout the whole trip Gwen was telling us interesting facts and figures about the history of Bangkok (Krung Thep). The Grand Palace was incredible as was the Emerald Buddha, these were matched by Gwen’s knowledge of the site, the history of the dynasty and the country. The next feature was a long boat tour through the canal network. This was both fascinating and humbling. The disparity of wealth between occupants was incredible, rich and poor living side by side on the river. We had a quick stop off to feed some fish in the canals and saw some massive lizards as we went along. We then went to a flower market and, as with everything else, Gwen’s knowledge was amazing. We then went on to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha before a spot of lunch in a local favourite of Gwem’s. The food was incredible quality. So far, 5 days into our trip now - it’s still the best we’ve had. The final location was Chinatown, where again Gwen was able to provide a detailed and informative narrative to everything that we saw or thought to ask. Finally, Gwen took us back on the BTS network, to make sure we understood what we were doing prior to us flying solo without her the next day. She is simply Incredible at what she does and is a credit to her organisation. Thank you from us both, once again.

Our tour guide, Elena, was very welcoming and kind! We began by sitting down and discussing all the options for the tour, including the floating market which we ended up visiting (would recommend). She took care of booking all transportation and planned out the trip to fit in as much as possible. When we would visit each location she would give us a lot of information about the history of said location, which was amazing! She also brought us to unique locations we had no idea existed before the tour. At the end of the day my boyfriend and I asked her for a recommendation for a massage place, and she not only recommended one, she brought us there and translated what we wanted for us before leaving, staying longer than she had to!

Overall, amazing service and great tips and tricks for touring around Thailand. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour, thank you to Elena!

Unfortunately, we (a family of three with a college-age daughter) were pretty disappointed with this tour, which seems to be different than most people’s experiences. Obviously, so much will depend on your particular guide. We had Note, who was a very nice and friendly guy, but we had to work hard to understand his English and his explanations consisted of very simple sentence constructions that didn’t add a lot to what we could figure out on our own. In the end, we let him leave us an hour and half earlier than scheduled because we simply weren’t getting much out of the experience.

But beyond this, there were a few things we weren’t happy about. First, one of our few advance requests was to get massages in Wat Pho (there is a massage school in the temple complex, and it is a cool thing to do). He knew this, but rather than getting our names on the wait list when we first arrived there and exploring the temple during the wait, he took us there at the end of our visit when there was an hour-long wait and we had to forego this experience.

Also, he suggested we spend the afternoon at a less visited floating market (Khlong Lat Mayom), which sounded like it would be fun but was mostly a waste of time and money, with a lot of effort to get there and very little to see. He encouraged us to hire a private boat for one hour at an additional cost of 1500 Baht, which we agreed to, but when we got to the dock we found that we could join a small group 40-min tour for 100 Baht each (and that the private hire should have cost 1200—what was the extra 300 for???). We then said we would prefer to join with two other tourists we met there to do the small group tour, but he insisted the private tour would be much better and that we would visit an orchid farm. So we asked if the other two tourists could join us on the private boat (to help cut the costs), and he refused to allow that. As it turned out, our “much better” private boat tour was over and done in 30 minutes, of which more than half the time was spent at a pretty rundown and small orchid “farm”. We couldn’t believe what that had cost us and how little we got for our money, not to mention the cost of taxis to get out there. And there was nothing “floating” about this market—it was a bunch of food stalls and vendors alongside a canal.

What we had been hoping for—a culturally immersive experience that oriented us to Bangkok—definitely didn’t happen. We felt like we wasted at least half a day and spent a lot more money than we expected or than was necessary to spend. We'll give two stars because the visit to the temples was OK, and he did show up on time and seemed to know his way around, which is helpful.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your time with Guide Note, unfortunately matching tour guides to clients is a little like a blind date. If our only redeeming feature was we arrive on time, then we have really let our client down, and that is obviously not what gets us so many five star reviews. I cannot comment on why Guide Note went about he did the Wat Pho massage school, from your description it does sounds like massive oversight, I wish I could give you more details about his reasoning. As for the canal tour, there are many options around the water ways, there are public ferries on the rivers, both private and public ferries that go into deeper into the waterways. For anyone wanting to know the difference, please feel free to contact us directly or visit our website which has outlines of various different iterations. Finally not all floating markets are the same, basically in Thai it is 'Salad Naam', which is Water Market, and it refers to to a market that can be on, next to, around, or in a canal. Basically means that is accessible by the waterways, some place you arrive by boat, some places you walk around and the boats come to you and finally you are in the boat and the market is on the sides of canal. In Bangkok city the most popular Water Market/Floating Market is deep in the canal and takes 30-40 minutes to reach depending on the weirs and boat traffic. Now you're at the market you can walk around the boardwalk, and also buy food and goods from boats floating in the market. Depending on the time of day they can be moored against the walkway. The cost for taxi to return is considerably cheaper than cost to have your boat wait for your to return to pier on the main river. I can only assume this client expectation was the famously photographed Damnoen Saduak floating market which is around 100km west of Bangkok city, something that would take about 4 hours and private transport services to visit. If you like to discuss guides, floating markets or anything in between please contact us thru our website and we'll be happy to answer and questions before you book our services. It is possible to book our product thru 3rd party websites, but talking to us directly about your expectation before your tour will give everyone the best possible chance to have the best possible tour.

This review was due a year ago. I had to transit in Bangkok on the way to Bhutan. I was glad that Peach was my guide. We met at the airport at noon when my flight arrived, then she helped me to have my luggage stored at the airport and got a money exchanged with a terrific rate at the airport. We then took the metro to my hotel in town. She taught me the details how to buy the tickets, used the machine etc so the next day I can independently used the metro to get back to the airport to continue my journey.
After check in at the hotel we head to the Grand Palace, Wat Po, and we watched a cultural performance. She let me sat and rest while she stood on the line and got the VIP seat for us. Afterward she took my picture with the performance too.
While we were in a tour not only she took my pictures ( no need for selfie) but also she helped me with best location for memorable photos.
As it was then dark, instead of going to Wat Arun, she was able to reserved a spot for dinner in a restaurant across the river to watch and take pictures of Wat Arun at sunset.
I enjoyed my short stay in Bangkok, thanks to Peach.

By booking just a guide with no driver we saved money and time (Bangkok traffic is terrible) while getting a highly experienced, informative guide. Oil, our guide, spoke great English, knew her city and how to efficiently pack in all my big wish list must sees. Since it was just our group of 4 we could go at our own pace and see what we wanted. She gave us plenty of historical as well as social info. So much better than going it alone, hustling with a big group or paying a premium for a private guide and driver together.

Nina was pleasant, skillful, patient and very attentive to our needs. By the time the day was over we felt we had seen all of Bangkok without feeling rushed...we would all highly recommend Nina when looking for a great tour of Bangkok. We experienced every mode of transportation and were able to see sights from our trip along the canal as well as visiting sites in and around the city, ending our day with the Skywalk! Wonderful host😊

My guide Yuut was amazing! He took me around all the different temples and explained so much of the history and significance of various things. I got to travel like a local as we took the water taxi through the canals and got to see many different things about Bangkok. He negotiated all the tuk tuk rides so we always paid a good price. He knew his way around the city very well. After finishing up all the temples I wanted to see we had some time left and he recommended Golden Mount to see. It was my favorite! Great walk up to the temple and phenomenal views of Bangkok from the top. I very much enjoyed my experience with Yuut and so glad he was my guide! I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Bangkok. Thanks Yuut!

Our experience with Your Thai Guide was excellent. Booking was straightforward- the crew at YTG was quick to reply to requests, everything was well organized and clearly communicated.

Our guide was Peach, and she was terrific. Peach reached out to our hotel the day prior to our scheduled tour date confirming our meeting time and location. The day of our tour she arrived right on time at our hotel. We spent 10 mins or so going over our plan for the day. Peach made some suggestions on how to spend the day, but ultimately we stuck with our preferred locations. Peach helped out with arranging taxi from our hotel to a local market, and that’s where we kicked off our day. Having an experienced local guide with us allowed for us to be relaxed all day, there was never those stressful moments of trying to navigate around a new city, nor was there any wasted time figuring out how to get to the next place. Peach knew the quickest ways to get around the city, she knew exactly how to avoid the long queues for tickets at the popular attractions, and she provided insightful commentary throughout the day no matter where we were. Taxi rides were an opportunity to learn about the city as we moved around town. I noticed our taxi drivers listening in on the tour too! We enjoyed time at two local markets, walking around sampling food, and seeing a more local side of the city before visiting the grand palace and reclining buddha, we ended our day at the flower market. Peach seemed genuinely excited to show us around even tough I’m positive she’s seen the same places a million times. Peach had a thermos of ice water and even had little towels that she soaked in the cold water- these little refreshing breaks were a welcomed reprieve from the hot humid day. I could see the look of envy from all the other travelers as they walked past. Not only was peach a terrific host, but she was our photojournalist that day too. She took so many wonderful photos of my wife and I. This is our first trip where we have wonderful photographs to share with family and friends, not just photos of where we went and what we saw. Peach and YTG- Thanks for a wonderful first day in Bangkok your professionalism and warm hospitality couldn’t have been any better.

We sent a few "musts" and some additional "would be nices" in advance, and our tour guide Dew did not disappoint. We spent a full day getting to know the city, how to use different modes of transit (which was also on our "must" list), eating delicious food and being exposed to history and culture. Dew was knowledgeable, friendly and spoke English very well. Some of the highlights included Wat Arun, eating our way through Chinatown and visiting the Jim Thompson House. It was a great introduction to Bangkok and a way to get comfortable with the city as well. I can't recommend this experience more.

We had a wonderful time with Oil, who was very friendly and fun to talk to. Throughout the tour, she was saying hello and joking around with the guards, ticketers, etc at the various sights we visited. She took us on the train, ferry, bus, and a couple tuk tuks to see Wat Arun, Wat Pho and the giant reclining Buddha (which was bigger than we were expecting!), the golden mount, and the snake farm. We also had a very satiating lunch at Krua Apsorn, where Oil helped us order some delicious dishes.

Oil went above and beyond getting just the right angle for some of our photos (like even getting down on the ground to fit the entire stupa in the background!), and she's great with kids. We ran into some of our other family at the snake farm, and she was wonderful with our 2.5 year old twin nephews... not too mention playing around with some of the other children we came across along the rest of our tour. So, if you have kiddos of your own, Oil would be an amazing guide to have!

We hired tour guide Apple for one day on 18th February. She actually arrived 45 minutes early as she has to commute into the city but left us to finish our breakfast before meeting at the scheduled time. She then took a short while to go through our intended itinerary before we headed out to use a variety of buses, sky train and river boats on our day out.

Apple is lovely. She is very knowledgeable about her country’s and Bangkok’s history and culture and obviously takes great pleasure in imparting this information to her clients. She speaks excellent English and has a great sense of humour.

We saw everything that we wanted to see, had an authentic Thai lunch at the Thai Naval Club and feel that we now have a much better understanding of Bangkok or Krung Thep as Apple advised as being its real Thai name.

The day was very good value for money and I would certainly recommend the services of Apple.
