What to Expect
Following hotel pickup in Bangkok, travel north to the UNESCO-listed Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand (aka the Kingdom of Siam). On arrival, disembark the coach and embark on a walking tour of Ayutthaya temples, monasteries, and palaces.
Admire temples such as Wat Mahathat, famed for the Buddha head entwined in a tree. Marvel at the well-preserved summer palace of King Rama IV with its mixture of Thai, Chinese, and Gothic architecture. All admission fees are included in the price of the tour.
