I did the three passes trek with two friends. The good points were that our guide Kendra Kulung was very friendly and helpful and genuinely tried his best to make the trip enjoyable. I picked up an illness before doing the trek and Kendra really looked after me, making garlic soup, carrying my pack and checking in on me. He answered lots of our questions about him and Nepalese culture, he really went beyond what I would have expected. We also successfully finished the trek! We weren't very satisfied with the company however. Although unknown to us flights to lukla had been cancelled for three days prior to our trek, we were still sent to the airport in Ramechap. We spent the whole day there with some people who had been sleeping at the airport for three days. At the end of the day we were informed that we would likely be there another three days before we could get on a flight. We then through talking to flight staff and our guides at the airport, made our own decision to get a jeep to half way to Lukla that night. We didn't feel supported by the business owner in Kathmandu in making this decision. It was a stressful day for us. I talked with the business owner about this issue before writing this review and he said that his contacts at the airport had told him that we would be able to fly the day we arrived at the airport. Even if this is true, we feel that for the money we were paying we expected better service which means the business should get more reliable airport contacts. We also expected more support from the business owner at this time and to be in contact with his clients directly to talk about options. Another issue I felt was that the guides should receive more training in altitude sickness and how to respond and share this knowledge with their clients. We all got sick and I didn't feel my guide really knew the symptoms the risks and how to respond. Having learned more about altitude sickness since I returned home, I think we should have been encouraged to slow our ascent and possibly to turn around at some points, as symptoms were moderate (bad headaches, bad dizziness). It would also have been good if the guide had more emergency equipment if possible eg a satellite phone, medical equipment etc. Finally some parts of the contract we signed were not honoured. We had to pay our own way to get to and from Ramechap airport even though it said in the contract that the business owner would pay for this.

We, my husband and I, would like to express our greatest appreciation and thanks to the agency High Spirit Treks&expeditions, who planned and effectively managed our trekking in Nepal. I'm not an expert in trekkings - this is the first trekking I do, actually - but their friendly and professional approach, of both their manager Shiva, and their guide and porter, helped us to enjoy this trekking and overcome problems we had to face, due to an  unexpected bad weather and rain who affected a considerable part of the trekking itself. In particular,  I'd like to underline their flexibility in changing the original agreed plan and adapt the daily schedule (time departure, hotel booking, destinations etc.) according to our hiking pace and weather conditions. In detail, as we couldn't reach the final destination of Annapurna Base Camp, we included Sarangkot as additional stop, and add (at our own cost) one additional night in Pokhara, a very nice and peaceful city we particularly liked. From our first contact, Shiva always gave immediate feedback to our e-mails and WhatsApps  and thoroughly checked how the trekking was proceeding.  In summary, we would recommend High Spirit Treks&expeditions, for everyone - even not expert - who would like to enjoy a visit and a trekking emotion in Nepal.

My wife and I decided to spend our post-covid honeymoon in Nepal. Without knowing how we can enjoy Nepal in its maximal potential, we decided to reach out to High Spirits. From the first moment, the main focus of High Spirits was make sure we enjoy Nepal and that we spend our time doing what we will enjoy the most. The company organized a private tour in Nepal, visiting Kathmandu, the surrounding area, and Pokhara. Afterwards we trekked the impressive Annapurna circle and Annapurna Basecamp. We were able to enjoy the architecture, culture, and traditions. Additionally, the company made sure that we received the best hospitality everywhere we stayed. We felt supported and listened to at all the time. High Spirits made sure each day was the activity level and activities we sought. Our porter & guide was fantastic. We had to change our route due to weather. We all agreed on the new route and we were still able to see everything we were looking for. High Spirit Treks is a highly recommended company that provided us with an unforgettable experience in Nepal. We will be back for a new adventure with them.

My husband, 4 friends and I just finished our EBC and Gokyo trip with high spirit treks and it was an amazing experience! Our guide Shera and our porters felt like family on this trip and always had our best interests in mind. Additionally, they were very flexible with the itinerary to suit our group's needs, which at times meant changing the route to get to EBC (they were very cooperative with us). Our guide was by our side at all times (especially if you were at the back) and didn't rush us at all. He chose great teahouses for us to stay in and was very knowledgeable of the area. He and the porters were also very friendly and easy to talk to. Every night we would play card games and chat, they even took the time to teach us some of the language. I cannot recommend these guys enough! There is so much clarity with their pricing and inclusions/exclusions, they are quick in responding to your queries and they take such great care of you. Our experience with High Spirit Treks was really wonderful. Our guide Min was so knowledgeable and experienced. We felt very comfortable and happy the whole time with him and he knew so much. Everything was organised really well, from the moment that we walked in the door of High Spirit and met Shiva. Shiva was always available, and quickly answered queries. The itinerary was really good and our trek was very beautiful. We definitely recommend going with High Spirit Treks, and the wonderful skills of Min.

We did a two person 5 day Poon Hill trek with trekking guide Mansing. We had a wonderful time! Mansing was fantastic, very helpful and kind and fun to hang out with. We met him in Pohkara where he helped us to buy and rent some hiking gear for the trip. The trek was beautiful, though sadly there is quite a lot of plastic rubbish being dropped, mostly by Nepalese apparently. We had many great views of the mountains, and the lodges we stayed at each night were nice and peaceful. I would definitely choose High Spirit again next time we come back to Nepal for trekking!

The high spirit travel agency gave us a tailor made arrangement that suited perfectly for the days we spent in Nepal. The first few days consisted of a four day tour of the Annapurna region with amazing scenery. Our guide was extremely service minded and always did the little extra to make us have a great experience. By always being calm and on the supply side, we always felt safe, and in this way, were able to enjoy nature and the surroundings to the fullest. The last few days we spent in Chitwan National Park. There, too, everything was arranged for us so that our trip there was a very pleasant and adventurous journey. Recomend it!!

normaly I don't write reviews, but this trek, was so perfect organised by the manager of High Spirit Treks and Expedition - Shiva Ram Basnet, that I wanna give you my honest recommendation. I did at the end of october 2019 an absolut flexible Trek with my very friendly and well educated guide Mansing K. Beside of a perfect Trek I had an extensive lesson in culture, history and nature of Nepal. I did a 10 days trek from Lukla to Mount Everest Base Camp - Kala Patthar - Cho La Pass - Gokyo Ri - Khumjung - Namche Bazar and back to Lukla. Shiva kept all the trip in contact to me and organised very flexible my ideas during the trek. He gave me with his professional and well trained team an amazing view of a fantastic part of his beautiful country - Nepal. Our trek to the ABC was a total delight! We loved every minute of it! Our guide, Sera, was the best guide one could wish for. He knew everything about the culture, gave interesting insights and took absolutely good care of us. After many trekking with my nepali brother this was the time to trek to Khopra to see the beautiful panorama on Annapurna south, Fang, Nilgiri, Daulagiri and many others mountain. With Shiva is always new sensations and perfect feeling with local places and local people. I love so much Nepal!!!!!

This October, I've traveled to Nepal with my cousin. We did quite some research about what trek we wanted to do and how we wanted to do it. When we first contacted Shiva from High Spirit a few months before our departure, we immediatly received a reply and it turned out that Shiva was the best agent we could hope for to help us optimize our plans. He had many great additional suggestions and eventually together we generated our AMAZING hike (EBC-Chola-Rejola, 16-days in total). Shiva kept being highly responsive via the email and his positive emails were really making us looking forward meeting him. Upon arrival, Shiva kept being an amazing agent and was of great help by retreiving our lost luggage. The hike itself was surreal. Sera our guide was an amazing kind, helpful and fun person who (despite the sometimes hard physical and mental moments of our trip) kept us going with a smile on our faces. Tip: bring some card/travel games with you, but be aware that the guides are pretty good at playing games ;) After our trip, we celebrated our amazing journey with Shiva en Sera with a diner (an awesome ending to an incredible trip). I would 100% recommend both High Spirit (Shiva) and Sera as a guide!

Shiva organized an incredible trip to Tibet for us. He booked our plane tickets, made arrangements with the local tour agency in Tibet, and with Ganesh organized our Tibet travel permit. Shiva was very responsive to messages and willing to answer my endless questions ;) It is obvious that he really cares about his work and his clients. I was in Nepal many times and all times with Shiva and High Spirit. We were together in many treks: Annapurna around with Daulagiri icefall, Kanchenjunga around trek, Everest bc and Island peak climbing, Tibet tour with Lasa, Namtso lake and Ebc, Langtang and Helambu trek, Upper Mustang trek, Annapurna sanctuary trek, Renjo la trek and lower solokumbu, Manaslu around trek, Makalu bc trek, Pikey peak and lower solo trek, Rolwalling and Tesi lapcha pass trek, Citown and visit many other beautiful places in Nepal. Whenever I am with Shiva I feel like to be nepali in to nepali people. For me Nepal is the best country in the world if you like:mountain, trekking and climbing, friendly and happy people, indu and buddist culture. Shiva is like my brother and Nepal is my personal safety key of my life.

The best experience at Nepal! not only the guide and porter did their best for us to feel safe, but also Min (guide) and Sunnil (porter) were such nice companions, making the trek interesting and fun. Shiva, the owner, also helped a lot, not only for all things related to the trek, but he also personally helped on a problem I had with my bags and the airline and followed up until it was solved. High spirit also adapted and was flexible to acommodate according to our needs, being a group coming from different origins and at the end going to different destinations. I really recommend their services if you’re ever at Katmandu.
