About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- kimasabi0 contributionsGreat View / Perfect HikeShishir is an amazingly friendly and knowledgeable guide with a good pace for this 1 day hiking. This tour gave an amazing 360 view of the Himalayas, Kathmandu, and other villages in btw valleys. This hike was not too easy, not too hard - perfect to work your legs (it’s mostly stairs up and down) - for a 1 day adventurer. I would highly recommend this if you want to get out of the hustle of the city but want the full view.Written 30 January 2025
- karinneha20240 contributionsJust keep trekking...Shishir was my guide and I went solo, but he was my fun companion all day and encouraged me to keep going even though I was not in the necessary shape for this trek. There are a lot of stairs (up and down) involved, so just make sure to be in shape for 9+ miles of trekking & stairs.Written 30 November 2024
- ZGreek_real_one0 contributionsOne day hike in KathmanduGot a great experience with Shishar today! A very nice hike with spectacular views on the snowy peaks and Kathmandu valley. Very balanced walking, no too long ups or downs, they always switch so your legs won’t ask you to stop) During the trip we were able to see monkeys and martis. Cable car was a separate joy, very nice ride with good views and no queues 😉 Shishir was very kind and made a great partner for the hike. Recommend to all 👍🏻Written 16 November 2024
- daveaA9910SN0 contributionsGood views, pleasant hikeReally enjoyed the day. It's a cable car trip up into the hills with some lovely views over Kathmandu and the Himalayas. The hike takes most of the day, quite a lot of it is downhill, but there are some tough uphill bits. Anyone with an average fitness level should be fine. Guide is a lovely chap RecommendedWritten 28 October 2024
- Dream422366730680 contributionsNothing but amazingThankyou Shirshir!! Myself and two friends completed the Annapurna Base camp over 9 days with Shirshir as our guide and Muskan as our porter. The trek was nothing but amazing, we had great weather conditions and Shirshir’s knowledge of the natural environment/ cultural heritage, and service during the trek was truly flawless. Shirshir was able to take care of all of the logistical requirements and cater to our needs without being pushy. I really appreciate Shirshir’s efforts to make us feel like family and provide an authentic local experience in the mountains. I should add that the food was amazing during the trek and we were all very impressed with Muskan’s strength to carry our bags from village to village with a smile on his face from ear to ear. I would recommend Shirshir’s service to anyone looking to travel to Nepal and complete the mountain trekking or Kathmandu day tours. Truly number 1 tour guide Mero vai!! 💖🙏Written 29 September 2024
- Happiness4364780 contributionsStunning nature and sceneryI really enjoyed my time with Shishir, and recommend him highly to anyone wanting to explore Nepal. This day trip was a perfect introduction to hiking in Nepal, with stunning nature and scenery. The hike was challenging but not unmanageable — even though I’m in my mid 50s and a complete novice to hiking. I really appreciated how Shishir related historical facts, pointed out interesting animals and plants, and answered all my questions, but didn’t distract from the serene experience with idle small talk.Written 10 September 2024
- LaurenKuehne0 contributionsArround Kathmandu's natureI had a very nice experience in nature during this trekking trip. My guide Shasan was very nice and took care of not going too fast and answered all my questions along. The lunch was tasty and our driver drove safely and patiently. I also enjoyed the cable car tour upwards.Written 11 August 2024
- 604linng0 contributionsAnnapurna Base CampMe and my two friends hiked the ABC, Annapurna Base Camp trekking. It was a 10 day journey through both jungle and beautiful forest, the forest had just got in to full bloom with its rhododendron trees in myriad colors. We trekked uphill, downhill, saw the most beautiful views, sunrises and sunsets, we walked up stairs, saw so many waterfalls, snow at the top of the mountains and slept in cozy lodges along the way up. We couldn’t ask for a better guide through this journey, Shishir is a very professional guide with a lot of years of experience. I would recommend him as a guide to any trekking in the Himalayas. He also took some incredible pictures along the way, which we really appreciated. Go to Annapurna Base Camp! It was an amazing journey and have Shishir as your guide!Written 26 April 2024
- g_nters5630 contributionsBest trekking around KathmanduWe (couple 60+) are not used to hiking but we were able to finish the walk within 4-5 hours including 3 short breaks. The tempo was adjusted to our personal needs. Trail was partly difficult, going up and down with steep paths and thousands of steps. Shishar, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the place, hiking and the mountains. We were pretty exhausted but happy and enjoying the good views during the hike and from the cable car platform. On this Saturday many locals were on second half of the trail enjoying the clear air and the nature. Cost for the tour are more on high end!Written 19 March 2024
- Coastal521194809050 contributionsShishir is the bestSHISHIR was my tour guide for this trip and I was already warned that this was going to be a tough hike. I wanted to challenge myself to a long 5 hrs hike and I wad mentally prepped for this. Physically, I was not since my stomach was not 100 percent. Anyhow Shishir greeted me at the hotel lobby prompt on time. We got on the cable car with such a gorgeous view of the mountain to start this trip. He offered to take many photos. He gave me the tour around the temple on top of the Chiandrigiri and explained the history about the temple. There was a little tiny zipline and I showed an interest of ziplining. He was so flexible to offer a time to zipline but I declined. We started our hike and it was great. For me, not tough nor easy. It was exactly what I needed that day. We had 2 dogs that started a hike and finished the hike with us. Shishir is such a peaceful warrior and who needs chatty guide in 4 hrs hike (for me, it was 4 hrs). I would have been exhausted if it was not Shishir as I am a quiet person inside. Shishir kept up and was right behind .e so I felt very secure and safe. He offered to take breaks here and there. He offers to take photos. He is a very kind person who is so mellow. He was perfect for me and i can only speak for myself. If I come back to kathmandu and I had a day to do nothing, I would do this again for peace of my mind. I highly recommend this hike for those who are semi useful to hiking.Written 4 February 2024

He is very attentive to his clients needs & wants, always happy with a smile & a joke. I have done 2 treks with Shishir (ABC & Poon hill/Ghoriponi) and have known Shishir for nearly 5 years. I would highly recommend Shishir for your Nepal Adventure.Written 4 November 2022

We had an unforgettable tour experience with our guide Shishir. We were picked up at 4:30 am by our hotel and drove for 1 hrs to arrive at Nagarkot. It was a great appreciation by the tour operator that we were heading up to the mountains while the whole City was sleeping. The Sunrise view from Nagarkot view point was unbelievable, we never saw before the sun was rising just above the incredible Himalayas. The weather was so great that we saw all the mountain ranges including Mt. Everest from the distance. The second stop for the view was amazing too. The most memorable part of the tour was hiking through local villages. We saw the real local people and their activities, mostly doing farm work. Approximately we walked 8 miles mostly downhill to arrive at the oldest Temple of Nepal ChanguNarayan. The Temple visit was the reward after hiking, great to see beautiful architecture and deep insight. We couldn't thank enough to our number 1 Nepal guide Shishir who made our 1 Day in kathmandu most unforgettable. We highly recommend everyone not to miss this day.

Big applause to Shishir, my dear guide, for making this tour a very memorable one!
Unfortunately, the weather was hazy the whole morning and couldn’t enjoy the mountain view, but the sun rise was so beautiful and more than that, the trekking walking down the mountain was simply the best! Watching the mountain village people’s daily life was beautifully simple and peaceful.
Shishir, the guide, was also having a wonderful hospitality mind and always took me some pictures as well as kindly providing me all the information about
Nepal, history, temples, etc…
I will make sure to book his tour once again when I come back to this magnificent country!
Big thanks once again to Shishir!

Going on this tour made my trip to Nepal, much of which is thanks to our guide Shishir. The sunrise at Nagarkot was unlike any other I’ve seen in my life, the experience hiking downhill after gave me a true window into the life of the locals at Kathmandu. As well, our guide was flexible and let us add on a visit to Bhaktapura Darburi Square despite not being in the original itinerary. Overall this is the highlight of my trip to Nepal.

Had a lovely day out hiking from sunset to midday with our guide, Shishir. He was knowledgeable, friendly and happy to answer all questions Nepal/Kathmandu. I really enjoyed learning more about his experiences leading tours, trekking to base camps and climbing summits. Very interesting and insightful.
After pick up and the sunrise point, we had breakfast at a local cafe. This was a good experience. We were also lucky to have excellent weather throughout the day and he was very informative about the mountains we passed. He helped take many photos which was much appreciated.
I particularly liked that Shishir walked at a pace that I could keep up at (I'm sure it felt like a lifetime for him!) and explain about the villages that we passed. An excellent tour guide and day. Will definitely recommend him to other customers and my friends

This is an amazing tour and Shishir is a great guide: knowledgeable and highly adaptable to the different needs of our group. Afterwards - as it was our last day- he went above and beyond to recommend and take us to a great place to buy handmade paper and shawls. Fantastic guide!

We had a wonderful day on this tour! We were picked up at our hotel on time and took the one hour drive to Nagarkot where we saw an awesome sunrise and amazing views of the Himalayas, followed by a great local breakfast, before starting the seven mile hike. The hike was a beautiful mix of mountain villages and wooded trails, and was a very easy walk, that was mostly down hill. Shashir is an excellent guide and is very knowledgeable about the area and customs, and makes the entire hike very interesting by giving great bits of information about what you’re seeing. I highly recommend Shashir and this tour.

I booked the trip 'The most beautiful 1 day experience in Kathmandu Nepal' and it was amazing. Shishir picked me up at 5 am from my hotel and drove to Nagarkot for sunrise view to start my day. Weather was so nice, the sunrise view was amazing on the Himalaya. His knowledge about the history of Nepal and the culture was very profound, he answered every question of mine. We hiked through local nepalese villages and the people we met have been very hospitable and friendly to me. It was a great way to see the sides of Nepal you normally dont get to see. We also visited the Changunarayan temple which was one of my personal highlights, the ancient architectural gem of Kathmandu Valley. I loved the tour, especially the nature and the knowledge of Shishir made this day one that I will never forget. Thank you Shishir for every single effort to make my day, I will come back next year for the Everest base camp trek with you. 🗻 Dhanyabaad🙏

Just went on the sunrise view and hiking trip this morning and couldn’t have been more pleased with the incredible views and the fully local immersive experience! Our tour guide Shishir was extremely friendly and accommodating to every person in our group and his knowledge of the Kathmandu region and the entire Himalayan mountain range is unparalleled. Was extremely happy with the view we had from the fire tower during the sunrise portion of the trip; it was gorgeous seeing all of the colors line up I the sky right above the snow capped mountains and then see the sun actually peek right above the Himalayas when it finally rose; I took a million photos and will remember that view for a long time. The hike was also extremely interesting getting to see the local area, examine the local plants given our guide’s knowledge of the botany of the area, and hearing about the different valleys and mountains we could see. The temple was also beautiful and well worth the trip. Overall, was a great hike and I’d be sure to recommend it to anyone else coming to Kathmandu!

Shishir was a very lovely and kind guide who answered all our questions! He and the driver took us to our sunrise viewpoint where he took lots of good photos of us, then we had some local breakfast foods, before he guided us on our hike to Changunarayan temple. Then we were dropped off at our hotel. Thank you for the wonderful day Shishir!
