We were so fortunate to have had the opportunity to take a helicopter ride with a landing at Kalapathar for the most breathtaking view of Mt. Everest and surrounding peaks and glaciers! Mr. Buddhi with Himalaya Holiday Service is a very professional and experienced tour operator who will do everything possible to make this a bucket list dream come true. I am so glad we chose his company to book our tour, and it was well worth the investment, especially given that we had our guide, Paras Amgain, accompanying us to and from Lukla Airport. His knowledge was indispensable with an awesome personality. A Kalapathar landing is the ultimate goal for being close to Mt. Everest!

Very well organized. Everyone was courteous and professional. Amazing experience and worth the cost. Breakfast at the hotel is okay but perfect to let the experience sink in. My favorite part was the landing before letting off some of the passengers before the flight to base camp. Recommended without reservation.

A stand out trip of a lifetime. Such a desolate, deadly place but stunningly beautiful. The views from over Base camp and from Everest View hotel were stunning. Everything was excellently co-ordinated by Buddhi. A “must do” experience !!

The whole trip more than lived up to my expectations. Everything detail was looked after from the pre trip overview at the hotel to being dropped back at the hotel at the conclusion of the trip. From the moment that we were initially contacted to when we were dropped off to our hotel, the customer service couldn’t have been better. Buddhi is fantastic. The trip was super smooth and well organized. Buddhi made sure we were at the right spot at the right time. The pilot we had was outstanding, trained by the military and ensured our safety at all times. The day we went was just gorgeous. We had plenty of time at the Everest View Hotel to view the mountains and the food was actually very good. Lots of trekkers from all over the world there. Was fun to talk to them. I highly recommend this service.

Absolutely amazing tour. Everything has been organized to every single detail. This is maybe the only helicopter company in Nepal which can really deliver Kalapathar landing as since 2024 it is very complicated to get permit. At least I have experience that three other companies I have asked for promised it however non of them was able to truly deliver this experience. Landing at Kalapathar is one of the best experiences one can do and totally recomended over just fly over experience.

This tour was utterly incredible from start to finish. Buddhi was extremely helpful and informative all the way along, both before, during and after. The trip itself was beyond words. We had a perfect day. The pilot was amazing and the views were out of this world. Everything was communicated clearly and the transportation to and from the airport was super easy. Our pilot was very kind and helped us move seats so everyone had a wonderful experience. What an amazing experience! First, we had a very skilled and experienced pilot that made me feel safe. He took time to show us the different peaks even though he was quite busy. While unloading fuel at Lukla airport, we were even able to witness an aircraft landing and taking off from this short and unique runway. The pictures, even though they’re beautiful, can’t render the true beauty of the mountains when you see them upclose. Since the weather was amazing, we were able to fly close to Everest and witness all it’s beauty. You really have to experience it, definitely worth every penny!

So amazing!! This helicopter tour is 100% worth it!! Buddhi is very communicative and helpful about all tour details. He advised us to have 3 free days during our time in Kathmandu in case the weather was bad so that we would have a backup date for our flight, and he was right. Our flight ended up getting pushed back a day, so we were glad to have that extra time reserved just in case. Buddhi also recommended the perfect time of the year/month for our tour for clear weather, and we even changed the date of our international flight arriving in Kathmandu based on what he told us- and he was definitely right about that too. One thing to be aware of - the helicopter flies over the Everest base camp area, and although you will not see any tents there in October (people only climb in the spring), you do get amazing views of Mt. Everest peak. We were also able to stop at the Everest View Hotel for breakfast and pictures, and the hotel also has a little gift shop where you can get magnets, t-shirts, and other little souvenirs. Good to know: they weigh you before the flight to make sure the helicopter is appropriately balanced for safety reasons, and the pilot decides who sits where, but usually the lightest person sits up front with the pilot. Book directly with Buddhi for the best price and advice, and book early to make sure you get a seat because these flights do fill up. You will not regret it!

This was an amazing experience. They did such a great job communicating every detail from coming to my hotel to go over information, texting updates about the weather to make sure I could go on a nice day, to the pilot pointing out the different mountains and scenery. I felt very safe on the helicopter and the pilot was very experienced in flying. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and everyone definitely went out of their way to make it feel special.
