Everest Base camp at 67. From the 4 World Heritage sites to EBC and back - an epic adventure.
Easily the most beautiful place on earth. This was the adventure of all adventures. If you love mountains, the Himalayas are heaven and the Nepali people and culture are magical. Can’t recommend Nepal Trekking Routes enough. Shailesh Pokharel and his team were professional and thorough. My guide Bishnu Magar was incredible. 10 out 10 by any and all standards.

        Explore Nepal stress free!
We highly recommend this tour of Nepal… We highly recommend this tour of Nepal to anyone wanting to have a good overview of the country. We were able to travel smoothly with the help of our tour guide ,Shailesh who picked us up from the airport and enabled us to travel safely to see many beautiful sites. We had a great experience with comfortable and clean accomodation and delicious food! The guides in each area that were organised by company owner, Shailesh were knowledgeable and friendly. We saw beautiful sites and met beautiful people. The drivers and transport were safe and we were able to have free time to ourselves as we wanted. We were able to be flexible with the tour to suit us. We trusted Shailesh and all elements of he tour were easy. We would like to come back to Nepal for trekking one day and will go through this company again. Thankyou from Australia! Kat and Casey

        The best birthday present EVER
I had the most magical experience trekking the Annapurna Circuit via Thorong La Pass with Nepal Trekking Routes Treks. Whilst I was travelling solo, I wasn’t “alone” because I had the most amazing guide and porter (Bishnu and Binod) who made the trip everything it was and more. They both bought such great energy and were so helpful and attentive throughout the trek - they even organised a home made (or tea house made) cake whilst in one of the most remote locations on the trek, to surprise me for my birthday! The views along the way were incredible, and Bishnu was super flexible in terms of “making the plan” daily - adding in extra afternoon walks on the days we arrived to a tea hour early and/or I had some extra energy to burn! If you’re planning a trekking trip to Nepal, you MUST book through this company. Your guide genuinely makes or breaks your experience, so it’s so important to book with a knowledgeable and reliable company!

Sara and Jo Jiri to EBC
We cannot recommend this company highly enough. From pick up at the airport to being dropped back there. The manager was professional, corresponding immediately to our every message. He made everything seamlessly smooth. We had a fantastic local guide, Bishnu who knows the routes and the mountains inside out. He was able to change our route easily when needed and made sure we had lovely stops overnight. Our porter, Tec was incredible and so lovely. The whole team was kind and thoughtful. We were so very well looked after. The prices are also very competitive. We chose to walk in from Jiri using the public bus from Kathmandu. It was hilarious, and we are so glad we did . It was also so good to see the real Nepal as we walked in to Lukla . The views and scenery are awesome My friend and I struggled a lot but Bishnu and Tec got us through the trek Thry worked hard and we couldnt have managed without them Certainly an adventure worth having. We will always use this company 10/10 !!!

        Langtang Gosainkunda trek 14 days
We did the Langtang Gosainkunda trek. Shailesh, the managing director was very helpful and responsive with our queries right from the beginning. He picked us up personally at Kathmandu airport. We had a very experienced guide Ratna who was excellent and took good care of us throughout the trek. He knew the trekking routes very well and was very knowledgeable. He was flexible and able to make changes in the itinerary due to the weather to ensure our safety and wellbeing. He ensured that we would get the best accommodation available on the trek as well as the best food. Our porter Vinod was also very helpful, strong and fast. The view from Kyanjin Ri was breathtaking. We were fortunate to see Gosainkunda lake before and after snow. We took the alternative option of paying extra for private jeep transfers instead of the public bus which was definitely worth the extra cost. Overall we would highly recommend Nepal Trekking Routes, and we are planning to come back again for another trek with this company.

        Simply the best
I travelled to Nepal in September 2023 to complete the Anapurna Circuit Trek. Shailesh and his whole team were wonderful from beginning to end. Shailesh communicated promptly and answered all my questions before the trip. He briefed us on preparations and was flexible when dates/hotels etc changed. Unfortunately, I got altitude sickness close to the end of the trek and had to turn around. Everything was taken care of. I will always be grateful that in a moment of complete disappointment, I didn’t have to worry about how to get back home safely. When our helicopter tour was cancelled because of new government rules, Shailesh did all he could to try and fix it. The Tour Leaders and trek staff were all amazing. The food and accommodation (albeit simple) was great. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone considering trekking in Nepal. It’s also good to support local businesses, that deliver a much personalised and locally driven approach. Book these guys - they are simply the best!

        Jiri To EBC WOW !!!
Our journey started in Kathmandu with a bus to Jiri/Bhandar. Our guide and porter travelled with us. From there we walked to EBC, back over the Chola pass and back to Lukla. It took 21 adventure packed days and was the most incredible, toughest, inspiring, awesome thing we have ever done. Shailesh organised everything perfectly. From collecting us at the airport to ensuring everything at the hotel was good and keeping in contact with us through our trek. Then getting us the only flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu!! Even to providing a meal at his house on our last night. Bishnu our guide and Tek our porter were nothing short of angels!! Both were absolutely amazing!! They were so very supportive. Very aware of our safety. Their expertise helped us through many challenging days They could not have looked after us any better. I honestly dont think we would have found a better guide or porter anywhere on earth!! Bishnu had such knowledge of the area and mountains, and was always cheerful and fun. He knew what we needed before we did ourselves and always arranged each day to accommodate us. The tea houses we stayed in, he always made sure we had good rooms and we enjoyed our time in all of them. Even one morning when we didnt eat breakfast as we werent hungry, but then we had taken so long to cover the miles to our stop we were flagging. (Mainly due to the altitude and the cold and the terrain.) Bishnu sent Tek on ahead to buy food and hot water and bring it back to us. So dear Tek covered a whole lot of extra miles that day and we had a hot "picnic " I highly recommend Nepal Trekking Routes. Shailesh the owner is extremely responsive to any communication. We were nearly 2 years organising our trip and he replied almost immediately to every contact we made to him. Thankyou so much to the whole team of Nepal trekking routes. you made our dreams come true in the most enjoyable and safe way! You are all amazing and we cant wait to book with you again.

A rewarding trek into the mountains
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the trek, including the bus trip to and from the Langtang Valley. Woulderful scenery, excellent accommodation in tea houses and local hotels, good food, especially the garlic soup and tibetan bread with accompanying masala tea. We saw monkeys, deer, mountain goats, a variety of birds including a wren, a pair of small brown squirrels, and belive it or not a pair of red pandas. You have to admire and respect the people who live in the villages up through the valley. Kindness and hospitality were second to none. And to think there are no roads. Everything needed to supply the villages is taken up by either donkey or human transport. Wonderful people.

        Langtang Valley Gosaikunda trek
I did the Langtang Gosaikunda trek this January and booked it trough Shailesh. Shailesh was an amazing guy who picked me up from the airport and helped me in every way he could to make my stay in Nepal even better. The trek was amazing starting in the Langtang valley. As we got higher up, the valley opened up where you could see the ice capped mountains. In the village Kyjangin Gompa we met some lovely people who talked about the earthquake and the way they live. After partly going back down we headed up again on our way to the holy lake Gosaikunda. The temperatures were cold but that made up for an even better experience. Together with my guide and porter we had an amazing time and became friends. I highly recommend booking trough Shailesh and will definitely come back to Nepal!

        Kanchenjunga trek.
I did the Kanchenjunga trek in November 2023. I've been to Nepal almost 20 times now so I know the country pretty well. This hike is the most difficult one after the 3 passes trek in Khumbu clockwise direction. The Annapurna or Khumbu treks are on average nicer for me but this one is just above all the others for 5-6 days of trek. Northern BC and the junction between northern and southern BC offer the most beautiful views among all the treks I have done in Nepal and elsewhere. On the same level of beauty as Renjo la, from the Thame side, and the St Antonio pass in Huayhuash in the Cordillera Blanca, Peru. The view from North BC is breathtaking, much more beautiful than Everest I saw from the Lobuche and Gokyo valleys. Everest is just a pyramid but Kanchenjunga is a wall at almost the same altitude, 8,586 m, not just a peak but a 10-15 km long wall ! The amount of ice/glaciers covering the mountain is as impressive as Mustaghata on the Karakoram Highway. Really amazing. Everything worked well for me during the trek. The guest houses are much better than expected. The entire trek is 255 km long and 14,000 m of elevation gain, quite sporty. It takes 17 to 19 days of walking.

        Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek
Myself and my son did the Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek which include extra time in Kathmandu for a cultural tour and farewell dinner. This is a good trek for those with limited time and want an introduction to the Annapurna region. The views were stunning and dawn at Poon Hill was a highlight. We had never done a trek before or even visited Nepal so we did not know what to expect. We were very thankful that, tour owner, Shailesh, was there to meet us at the airport with a smile and then made life easy for us from that point onwards. Nothing was too hard to organise in preparation for the trek and we were kept well informed on what to expect. A bonus is that there is a reasonable amount of flexibility to alter the suggested itinerary both before and during the tour. Our trekking guide, Ratna, was a perfect host educating us about the region and the people as we went. Also he let us maintain the pace that was comfortable for us as well as giving tips about diet such as what to avoid eating. I was very appreciative when my son got sick (nothing too serious) on day 4 and Ratna provided a cure with his expertise. Another bonus for us was Shailesh and Ranjana hosting a traditional dinner for us and personally taking us to the cable car. Also thanks for getting us to the airport effectively after our tour had officially finished. Looking forward to booking another trek next year. Tip: I would suggest taking the minimum baggage with you to Nepal and either buy or rent trekking clothing and equipment in Kathmandu as pricing is incredibly cheap.

        A very good experience
I've done several treks in Nepal so far and contacted Shailesh the owner of "Nepal Trekking Routes" this year as I wanted to stay in upgraded accommodations during the trek whenever possible. He arranged it and that was a real plus for me. He provided me with a cum porter as guides are mandatory along the trek. My husband also did the Kanchenjunga trek with his agency and was also very satisfied. Don't hesitate to contact him if you intend to go trekking in Nepal.

Professional leadership, solid services, competitive pricing
Shailesh, the company owner, is very communicative and hospitable. My 3-week solo trek through Lower and Upper Dolpo was the company's first in that region, but it went very smoothly. The guide was professional and the company allowed me to negotiate some minor adjustments to the itinerary, which went down without a hitch. The experience was terrific. Shailesh's helpfulness didn't end with the trek. When I arrived back in Kathmandu, I got some food poisoning, and his company helped me secure an inexpensive hotel room where I could recover. I recommend Nepal Trekking Routes for its professional leadership, solid services, and competitive pricing.

        Highly-recommended experience
The trekking to Mt Everest Base Camp was a great experience and a challenge. The path was steep, the lodges were ascetic, the air was thin (at least during the last couple of days), but everything was manageable. The views of the Himalayas along the way were magnificent and made the whole journey worth doing and re-doing. The acclimatization was gradual so I didn't experience any of the mountain sickness symptoms. The return by a helicopter saves time and energy after the final point of the trek has been reached. The team who organized the trip and were helping along the way - Shailesh (boss), Bishnu (guide) and Bupal (porter) - were very caring and flexible to our needs. To sum up, this experience is highly recommended.

We did Gokyo and Everest base camp with a helicopter return. It was a fantastic adventure and very happy with the professional organisation of Nepal Trekking Routes. Very personal approach with the travel agency made to all our questions was well appreciated. The guide and porter were knowledgeable and friendly. We'd recommend our trip to anybody looking to experience trekking in the Himalaya mountains.

We wanted to come to Nepal for a 2-week trek and chose Nepal Trekking Routes as our tour operator - a good decision 😊 Shailesh planned and organized our vacation individually for us and was also very attentive to us on site and available at all times. He always got us the best outcome from all the unexpected turns! Bishnu Magar did a fantastic job as our guide and adapted our trek perfectly to our ability and speed. We had very impressive days in the Himalayas and couldn't have wished for a better tour!

Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by Shailesh, the CEO of Nepal Trekking Routes. My name was mentioned on the board and I felt welcomed and with such a friendly atmosphere I had a fantastic start! The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that Ni wan deserves a special thanks. I had two great weeks there, which obviously also added up to the experience. The guide Kumar who did the the Kathmandu valley city tour was exceptional! I truly enjoyed his wisdom and passion for not only what he does but also his obvious passion for Nepal.

Ni Wan is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). I truly enjoyed walking with Ni wan and Bishnu the porter through the area. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relief to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural lakes at the end was a great way to end the tour.

The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for Ni Wan and his team who does a great job there; a true sample of excellent tour guide!

Many thanks again and I recommend Ni Wan and to everyone!
