It was the last day in Maputo and we wanted know more about this city. This tour was beyond of our expectations because our guide Milton showed us the best and more iconic places with all their history. Excellent guide. It is well worth taking this tour.

Egas was an outstanding guide. He arrived early at our meeting spot and led us to all the key sights of Maputo. His insight and knowledge of Maputo’s history and current affairs was fascinating. Don’t waste your time on a cruise ship excursion in Maputo. Go with Egas instead!

I had been in Maputo for a almost a week and felt I really hadn’t experienced the city. I decided to take the Baixa walking tour on my last day to get a true feel of life in Maputo. I was greeted by my three tour guides promptly and we were off for what turned out to be a real experience. At all the stops the guides gave me plenty of information, took pictures for me and with me, and answered all of my questions. I’m really glad I took the tour even though it was about 100 degrees out.

I was in Maputo only for a few days. On my one free day, I wanted to experience more of the city. I really learned a lot in those few hours, saw some very cool, historic sites and heard some great stories. I hope to go back to Maputo, but for now, this tour left me feeling like I had a wonderful introduction to downtown Maputo, learned some interesting history and got to see very interesting architecture.

I went for a solo tour for baixa/downtown area and it was a very pleasant experience. The guides showed me out the more scenic routes as well as a few grittier ones giving me the best of both worlds and a break from anything that felt too scripted. They really know the city lay out and history down to the origin of local cultural idioms which i found really informative and refreshing and it gave me a better more holistic view of the city. The price seems more than fair for the value.
