      Customized to perfection
We modified this tour for a total of 15 days (17 with flights) including Victoria Falls. This experience was executed flawlessly with both attention to detail and flexibility when the conditions dictated it. When our luggage did not make it to destination on our flight from Zimbabwe to Nairobi, our guide was extremely accommodating, followed up with their office to when to pick up the luggage from the airport since we we no longer in town, had it sent to us and took us to a landing strip within Masai Mara part to retrieve it. Speaking of the guides, they were outstandingly knowledgeable and willing to always go the extra mile, whether it be for animal viewing or other service aspects. They were more invested in locating wildlife and various experience than some of my kids :) Lodges were top notch, especially the tended camps and the Nairobi hotel. We had a colorful experience in terms of sights, information, flavors and culture. Overall I couldn't have asked for better.

      SED knowledgable and helpful
Walter, a SED agent, helped us to plan a customized trip to Tanzania. We ended up using SED's car and driver service for Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, and Serengeti airport pick-up and drop off. The same cars and drivers who picked us up at airports SER & ZNB) took us on game drives in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro and in then Zanzibar. Our game drive driver was also a trained wildlife guide. He has been leading game drives for many years so knows where to find animals in the large Serengeti National Park. I had already booked flights and lodging when I called SED. Since I've been to Tanzania many times before and knew where I wanted to stay and the airlines I wanted to use, I thought it would be just as easy to do that myself. I would recommend speaking with someone at SED before making any arrangements yourself as they understand the seasons better and how to make the most of your trip regardless of the time of year you visit. SED even helped us to find lodging, during the trip, when I decided to see the Ngorongoro crater days before we went there. Our Zanzibar driver took us to swim with the dolphins. That was my favorite part of the trip since I love the water. We traveled in July. I planned the trip about 1 week before we departed for Dar. I would recommend making more advanced plans. Last minute plans mean that prime lodging will be unavailable.

Definitely recommend! Great trip to Tarangire National Park
We had an amazing trip to Tarangire, we saw so many animals up close. There were lots of elephants and giraffe. We were also lucky enough to see lions and cheetahs. The trip was very well organised and the driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. The lunch box was also delicious. I can highly recommend this company.

      Amazing, Excellent and Unforgettable Experience
We had an amazing trip to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We must have seen a million Wildebeest on our trip. We were lucky to be there when the large herds were crossing the Mara river and we saw groups of many thousands dramatically crossing the river. Our guide knew exactly where the herds would be knew all crossing points of the river. Aside from that we saw a lot of wonderful animals like lions, buffalo, hippos, hyenas and the amazing leopard sleeping in the tree. We choose their mid range option. The accommodation and food was excellent. We thought the trip was a great value. The price was considerably lower than other operators selling similar trips. Highly recommended and kudos to our guide (Anton).

      Visit to the Museum only
We did not take part in the tour. We simply went to the museum, which has recently been renovated. It is an information stop for an hour and well worth a visit.

The Most Amazing Thing I've Ever Done!
All I can say is what a treat! My friends and I had an amazing and unforgettable safari! They took care of all the details from our trip, including our airport pickup, hotels before and after the trip, and everything in between. Our guide, Anton, was the most incredible guide. He was unbelievably knowledgeable about the wildlife and vegetation in the parks, and he spotted so many animals I would have missed on my own. He made sure we hit every beautiful viewing spot and got us right up close with so many animals! Additionally, he was a wealth of knowledge on Tanzania and gave us a bit of background about different cultures and villages in Tanzania. The jeep was spacious and comfortable with great viewing. Everything met and exceed my expectations. I'm already planning my next trip with SED!

      Highly Recommended Company
From the time I read the TripAdvisor review contacted SED, my experience was flawless. I wanted to go into Olduvai Gorge and experience the cradle of humanity after volunteer work in Ipalamwa, Tanzania. I planned to be alone, so I wanted competent and reliable service. SED responded enthusiastically and assisted with every element of my planning. As it turned out, a team mate joined me, and SED accommodated her last-minute needs. We had a perfect day. Our guide was patient, knowledgeable and light-hearted, as well as a great driver. At Olduvai Gorge, we had a Massai guide to answer our questions about the Leaky expeditions. On to Shifting Sands, the two men indulged our desire to meditate at the sand dune. They were wonderful. The packed lunch was delicious and plentiful! We viewed Ngorongoro Crater on the way out of the national park and photographed wildlife along the way. I had dreamed of a day like we had, but didn't dare to expect it. I'm so grateful to SED and their wonderful staff!

The Most amazing trip I have ever taken!
12/1/18 My adult daughter and myself have just returned from our trip to Northern Tanzania. We accomplished the most essential objective at the beginning by choosing SED. I have traveled alot but never used a tour company before. I made the right chose. Over the months of planning I spoke often with Elifasi their tour manager. He was always quick to respond and open to my suggestions. Together we came up with a perfect tour. It was a wonderful mix of exciting game drives in 4 different parks and a true highlight was getting to visit several different villages meeting local people and learning about their culture. Each village had people from a different tribe which made getting to know them even more interesting. Our's was a private tour just my daughter, myself and our guide, driver, companion Anton. He was the best easy to get along with, full of information and the eyes of a hawk(how did he spot that leopard?). I can't say enough about how great it was to have the jeep to ourselves. We could race back and forth and side to side to catch the best views of the countless animals we saw. The lodges we stayed in were all very comfortable, staff warm and welcoming and excellent food. The trip was actually 11 days and way to short. We keep looking at our pictures and getting the biggest smiles. So all I can say is Go To Tanzania with SED. Richard

      Amazing, Amazing, Amazing
My dad and I had the most amazing and unforgettable safari trip in Tanzania and we owe it to SED Adventures! More specifically to Elifasi who helped us plan our trip and to Anton who started out as just our (wonderful) guide but then ended as so much more! We will never forget this trip or you guys. I promise I'll be back!

      To the Roof of Africa
My Girlfriend and I were visiting Tanzania from New Zealand, and wanted to climb Africa's tallest mountain. SED Adventures provided us will a smooth and hassle free experience climbing Kilimanjaro, with competent and knowledgable English fluent guides and a climbing team who were able to support us on our hike with good food and help when it was needed. Another benefit was being able to rent for a reasonable price any gear which we did not want to pack in our suitcases. No need to carry it all around with you before reaching Tanzania. I would recommend this company to anyone wishing to experience this unique environment in a convenient and worry free way.

      Stunned by SED Adventures!
We have booked a private, tailor-made 6 days/5 nights camping safari and could not have made a better decision than choosing this company. We visited Serengeti NP, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. From the moment we sent the inquiry, WALTER was very responsible, patient and clear in his explanations regarding any details or changes we wanted to make in our itinerary. He ensured that the final version of the itinerary is exactly what we wanted, especially that we were changing it multiple times (timeframe, parks)! Walter was also available 24/7 for us during the safari in case there would have been any questions or complications (but there weren’t any, of course). He also picked us up the day after our safari to take us to the airport and collect feedback. As for the safari experience itself, our driver and guide, MR. SHARIFU, was a knowledgeable and patient expert. He knew numerous interesting and surprising facts about each animal we enquired. What is more, he has eyes everywhere – behind his head, on the sides!!! He spotted rare animals from very far away without binoculars, which made it possible for us to see all species we wished to see. Here are a couple of examples: - Big 5 (rhino being rare in Tanzania!) - newborns (cheetah, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, warthogs) - lions hunting - Great Migration of zebras and wildebeest - seval cat - dik dik, eland, waterbuck Our cook, ALEX, is the sweetest man in this country. He was always available, positive and enthusiastic about cooking for us. He quickly learned what we like and ensured each meal was special. He even made ugali and pilau for us after I told him we want to try as many African dishes as possible. When we were on a full day game drive, ALEX packed lunch for us – it was massive amount of delicious food! There were days when we finished dinner at 9 pm, and already ate breakfast at 5.30 am the next day, and everything was always on-time and tasty (bearing in mind that Alex had to clean our dishes after we had dinner, then prepare lunch to pack for the next day, and then wake up much earlier than us on the next day to prepare breakfast the best Spanish mayaj!). Since my girlfriend started learning Swahili before we arrived in Tanzania, MR. SHARIFU and ALEX quickly picked it up and taught her new words and phrases during the entire trip. This was very entertaining and educating. Asante sana rafiki yangu. We really had the time of our lives, our dreams came true and the worst part of this trip was that it had to come to an end too quickly. We would do it all over again, with Mr. Sharifu and Alex in a heartbeat. We will remember this for the rest of our lives, and tutaonana!

SED Tours does a great job
Wife and I took a 10 day northern circuit tour of Tanzania recently with SED Tours and it was fantastic. Starting with excellent communications from Lazier in the office to our driver/guide Anton we were in excellent hands all the way. Stayed in beautiful tented camps and lodges for our tour, and could not have been happier with Lazier's selections. Anton was FANTASTIC. His ability to drive some awful roads very safely, and his game spotting ability were amazing. Always a smile, always a correct game identification, best guide we have ever had. We felt the trip was very good value for the money, and the tour left us with a marvelous memory we won't forget

Stunning safari in Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks.
Tarangire and Lake Manyara had elephants up close - one group came right up and continued feeding, peeing, pooing, milking, literally 3-6m from our safari vehicle, wow! Saw 11 giraffes and 9 elephants at the same time crossing a river in Tarangire! We also saw an African Fish eagle perching above water only 5m away. The endless plains of the Serengeti were as I dreamed of, we saw a female lion hunting a warthog, several prides of lions, several males and females resting only 5m away, giraffes, 2 leopards (each resting in tree-tops about 150m+ from the road), 2 snakes including a spitting cobra crossing road, 3 cheetahs hunting Thomson's gazelle. In Ngorongoro Crater we saw 2 black rhino, over 400m away - they have closed off the roads to their favourite sites to help these endangered animals breed so I was very happy keeping a good distance away to help them. We saw hundreds of other animal species which are just as memorable - pools full of hippos, monkeys and baboons with baby's, crocodiles feeding, herds of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo and so many more. We were there in early July so lots of baby animals which was a bonus and very few mosquitoes. Late July-August will be even less mosquitoes and more animals gathering at the fewer remaining water holes. I've waited 50 years to do this trip of a lifetime and it didn't disappoint. I stay at cheap hotels in countries with good services at hand but stayed at top end hotels here and was pleased to have the comfortable facilities at the end of each day. They tar sealed one national park in Tanzania and discovered that vehicles travelling faster frequently run over the wild life so all of the parks I visited are deliberately left as bumpy gravel roads so expect a "Serengeti massage". Having the pop-up roof was fantastic and I'm glad I bought a cheap camera with a powerful lens - my wee P900 got some fantastic shots and was way more portable and powerful than my D800 with a 600mm. I used my iPhone on pan-o for all the wide angles. I'd definitely recommend malarone which we used with no problems - my daughter used doxyy when in Malawi for 6 months and got malaria, like all her friends on doxy, but all her friends on malarone didn't get malaria (group of 20+ volunteers).

      Disappointing value for money
We did the 2 day trip to Arusha National Park with SED. We were very disappointed with the value of money for this trip. Good: - An employer came to meet us for a briefing the day before - The vehicle was comfortable and spacious with good viewing - The food was good, especially at the lodge Bad: - Even though we were picked up at 8:30, our safari only started at 11am due to lack of organisation in buying park entrance tickets - The guide seemed unmotivated and uninterested, as he was on his phone every time we stopped - The guide only gave information about the wildlife when prompted - The first day safari drive was rushed (driving very quickly and ended before 5pm) - The lodge was very simple for the price we paid. We were the only 2 guests there and so it was very unsettling. The swimming pool was green and stagnant, and there were limited facilities. Overall, we compared the SED price to the price of the trip if we had organised it ourselves. Instead of the ridiculous $700USD per person, we could have paid about $300 for the same experience. As it was our first safari in Tanzania, we didn't realise all of the extra costs tour companies unnecessarily charge.
