        Interesting for a quick visit.
Our driver Z on the Blue line was an excellent tour guide and was a cautious driver. It was an open trolley and it was windy at for a brief time also rainy. It was unfortunately oversold and standing room only. No one got off because they were afraid they wouldn’t get on another one.

        Turk made this trip amazing.
Your driver, Turk, is the best tour bus driver I’ve ever had. His sense of humor. Knowledge of the area and his compassion for people was quite evident. He made our trip and a lot of fun.

        Waikiki trolley red line
It was a great and fun experience because of the driver Tulk. He is a native Hawaiian with deep knowledge about islands history. In addition he was very humorous.

Better than renting a car to see the sights
Did the blue line tour with Jon. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I’d purchased a 7 day pass so we could take the 4 different routes they provide. Even the young lady, sorry didn’t catch her name that we had on the red line tour was equally amazing! Hopped off at the beginning of a new tour at the aquarium and zoo after the complete tour

        A Wonderful Tour with Turk
We had the pleasure of touring Waikiki on the Red Line Trolley with Turk as our guide, and it was an unforgettable experience! Turk’s deep knowledge of the area paired with his delightful sense of humor made our journey not only informative but incredibly enjoyable. His stories and jokes kept us engaged and entertained throughout the tour. It’s rare to find a tour guide who has such a natural flair for connecting with people, and Turk was truly a standout. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Waikiki who wants to explore the sights while having a great time!

A smart way to see the main attractions of Oahu
Turk was very informative and fun whilst we went on the historical tour on the red line. We did the blue line with Z as well and he did a terrific job too. A great way to see the main tourist spots in the short space of time we had on the island. Would definitely recommend using Waikīkī Trolleys

We went in July and decided to pass on rental car this time and booked the 4 days pass with the Waikiki Trolley and we love it! We went on all 3 lines and had a great time on the ride. Our drivers were informative and quite funny - Bill on the red line, Keoki and Sisso on the blue line had us all laughing the whole time. I wish the trolley would go to Kailua, that would be a fun stop, hopefully in the future. One thing I would love to have is having 2 trolleys at the first stop on the blue line. We were up early for the 8:30am pick up at the 1st spot and yet the trolley get fill up fast and we all had to stand, making it hard having children with us. Overall, great experience

The Tour Service did an extremely poor job of describing exactly what they provided. Basically, the provided a ride out to Pearl Harbor where you got access to the Missouri, the Bowfin submarine and a related museum (for an extra charge), and on shore museums a dedicated to the build up to, the day of, and the aftermath of the December 7 attack. The Tour Company gave you nothing that you could not have gotten on your own by rental car or even Uber.

The worst thing, is that they waited until the day before the tour that you were not guaranteed a trip out to see the Arizona Memorial. They say in their tour description that you “may” see the Arizona Memorial. They don’t tell you the only way to actually get tickets to see the Memorial is to call or visit the NPS after 3PM the day before you want to tour it and compete with everyone else for a limited supply of tickets. They do say you can wait in the standby line in hopes of getting on the one boat that still goes out to the Arizona. You see, a Navy boat driver crashed the docks several years ago, leaving only one spot to dock a boat. Our own Govt has not seen fit to repair access to a National Monument and word is it will only be considered after the new fiscal year begins.

Anyway, we stood in the standby line for about 45 minutes. There were at least 150 people ahead of us. We counted 130 people with tickets obtained the day before get on a 150 person boat. 20 people in the standby line got on. We left the line, a line that grew no shorter by the time our tour guide required us to get back in the bus.

If you want to see the Arizona Memorial, check with the National Park Service and know the drill before you go. We didn’t (didn’t know there was a drill) and we’re disappointed. Save the money you spent on the Tour and apply it towards doing it on your own. In fairness to WiKiki Trolleys, they are not the only ones running this scam. If they say the can guarantee a spot on the boat, don’t believe them. The Park service says they do not cater to commercial ventures. They have to compete with the public to get tix. They probably pose as tourists to do so.

The Waikiki Trolley is one of the absolute best ways to explore the beautiful island of Oahu, and I highly recommend it! You can do one or multiple tours in a day, which last 1-2 hours each, and you simply can't beat the value! You can also hop on & off at various stops throughout the routes. We took the cool, double-decker Pink Line to shop and tour downtown Honolulu. The Green Line offered a great adventure to Diamond Head Crater and featured some popular eateries . But my favorite, by far, was the Blue Line because the spectacular coastal views literally took my breath away! We also got to see some lovely local residential communities and celebrity homes. Our Blue Line Tour Guide, Becca, was awesome and she even took some amazing photos for me when my camera battery died. Becca was funny, engaging, knowledgeable, and shared some very interesting facts about the Hawaiian culture. I regret not having enough time to try the Red Line which highlighted the island's major historical landmarks. No worries, though...Because I will definitely make it back to this tropical paradise!

Mike was our driver and he was friendly and knowledgeable and patient as needed with some of the passengers. We booked a one-day pass on the Red Line, which is historical for the most part. Mike’s enjoyment of sharing history was evident, and his experience as a native and current resident of Oahu was a plus.

The bus was on time, but very crowded and the wooden benches are rather uncomfortable. We would book again, as we always use Hop On/Hop Off buses when traveling - much cheaper than Uber or taxi as long your time is flexible. The 7-day, all lines pass is the best deal.

We used the $5 per person/day trolley to go to the Ala Moana Shopping Center and it was such a great deal! Also a great way to see Waikiki. Love the freedom to be able to hop on and off as needed all day long. We are a family of five and it was a cheap and easy way for us to travel, with convenient pick up and drop off points, and trolleys running every 30 mins. Big props and shout-out to one of our drivers, Keoki, who made the ride fun and entertaining. Not every driver we had was like that, so you are lucky if you get him!

As most travellers know, all it takes is a single event to taint one’s vacation experience. In this case, that taint came in the form of the ticket checker at the Waikiki Shopping Plaza trolly stop (stop #1), on the afternoon of April 26th

We had been enjoying our 7 day all line pass, and had several wonderful trips on the pink red and blue lines. Every driver deserved 5 stars.

This was the last day of our 7 day pass; we decided to take one last trip on the red line to visit Zippy’s on Vineyard, and spend the afternoon at Foster Botanical Gardens, so we hopped on the pink line, to the Waikiki Shopping Plaza to catch the 12:30 red line.

When we got there, 20 minutes before the red line arrived, the the ticket checker was loudly disparage “his drivers”, telling other waiting customers “I’m going to have to talk to my drivers”, and “they should not have let you do that”.

As the red line arrived, he positioned us just makai of the trolly stop sign. When all the passengers had exited the arriving trolley, he decreed that we were in the wrong place (exactly where he positioned us), and that he would be boarding us last.

My wife has mobility issues, and uses two canes; getting on early determines if we get on at all, so we walked away to have lunch. Angry, and frustrated. My only words to him were “that would have been nice to know”

We returned later to take the pink line back to our hotel. When we showed him our all line email ticket, he told us we could not get on the trolly with that, and proceeded to write up an orange slip. His coworker didn’t really seem to buy into this, but said it was a good idea. It was then that we realized that he had been doing this to everyone who had an email ticket.

      Our email pass explicitly states:
“Use this email confirmation as your ticket to ride the Waikiki Trolley Pink, Red and Blue Lines.
Just show this email to the Pink, Red or Blue Line driver as you hop on at any of our convenient stops located throughout Waikiki.”

I’m not sure why he decided to implement his own policy, unless he gets a bonus for each orange slip.

This tainted what may be our last trip to Waikiki, and I expect he had had the same effect on hundreds of Waikiki Trolley patrons that day.

We have done hop on hop off buses all over the world as a great way to see the sites. This one was confusing and basically wasted a day. I wanted to be on the green line but the green line doesn’t let you on without a ticket. Have to get on the red line, but a ticket with exact change (they will not give change) then ride the red line all the way to the bus depot to catch the line you want. Then the tour was mediocre. We just rode the loop for an hour and got off.

We purchased a 4-day Waikiki Trolley pass for me, hubby and our toddler and it was a great way to move about during our 10 days in Waikiki. We rode the Pink line the most as it was easiest to catch with 3 trolley stops near our hotel. Also used the Pink line to connect to Waikiki Shopping Plaza where we connected with other lines. The Blue Line is a gorgeous scenic line; we weren’t aware it was 2 hrs. long but it worked out to be a wonderful afternoon spent, Cooper was a fantastic guide and we also had great photos at the Halona Blowhole Lookout. The Red Line was more of a city attractions line, also 2 hrs. long and we enjoyed it. The only line we skipped was the Green Line because it overlapped with the other lines and we had also tackled Diamond Head ourselves already. I’d recommend to tour all non-pink lines at least once for easy sightseeing and to use the pink line liberally to get yourself around the city (we used it to get to Ala Moana Centre, hop off to spend a beach morning at Waikiki Beach, etc.)

I took the Blue line hop on hop off trolley in waikiki last 10/2021. I purchased 1 day pass online but you can also purchase the ticket in person.
Our tour guide/trolley driver was Finny! 5/5 stars! I really enjoyed his tour guide as he did a great job sharing about the interesting history of the attractions and great tips to maximize the local experience in hawaii (great places to eat, hike, swim etc). His good sense of humor made the riders smile and laugh! It was interactive tour as Finny answered questions from the riders. I remember almost falling asleep when I went to other trolley rides before in other states (I won’t mention which one) as it was “too educational” for me lol!! But not with Finny! It was fun! He also did a great job communicating with the riders about the pick up time when they were hopping off the trolley before the final stop (same stop as the first pick up area). Mahalo Finny and Waikiki trolley tour team!

We signed up for the Pearl Harbor/Waikiki trolley tour so that we had a chance to get on the ferry to the memorial since the tickets sell out months prior. RJ sent out great instructions the day prior to the tour so we knew what time and where to meet the next morning. He also called at the time we were to meet the morning of just to make sure we made the trolley, so the communications were excellent and made us feel good about the tour.
RJ greeted us with a huge Aloha smile and was very friendly from the start.
He took us on a special tour through the city as we had to make a few detours. His local knowledge and experience was bar none. He was able to give us important information and tips about the museums to help save us time and frustration. Although we had no control over the time of the USS Arizona Memorial tour, we were warned about the afternoon winds that can shut down the ferries. Our tour was canceled due to the winds, but we were given a 7 day pass.
RJ was kind enough to offer a ride and tickets for the next day. We were able to get earlier ticket and get on the ferry the next day, and all was perfect. Thanks to RJ and the Waikiki Trolley Tour for the best outcome and the best tour host!
