My family had a great time during our surf lesson with Eddie! We had two kids in their twenties and my husband and I— in our sixties. The kids thought it was the most fun thing we did in Hawaii. They got the hang of surfing fast. My husband and I, despite being seniors and big people, were able to surf on our stomach and knees, and even stand up a bit with Eddie’s help. Loved it. Great family activity. Thanks for all of your help, Eddie.

Eddie was FANTASTIC! He was a great teacher and a lovely guy who was clear and encouraging. He got us all up surfing in no time!

My girls and husband had a great time surfing with Eddie. The waves were perfect, and his instruction was such that they found success quickly! Communication was clear as to where to meet and what to expect. The photos they take were well worth the money, and it was great supporting a local family run business.

It was the perfect experience, the weather and the view was great and the instructors excellent. We did all managed to stand up, and we have several awesome pictures even with all kids together in a wave

Amazing! Super professional and safety oriented, but really friendly and down to earth too. Unlike the other classes that were in the water at the same time with dozens of students, these guys are focused on making it a personal experience, and making sure you get up on the board and have fun. Couldn't be more appreciative they got both me and my son up surfing, we had a blast.

Summer, Eddie and the SYM crew are the BEST!!! Summer helped us book an early morning lesson for our family of 4. They provided water shoes and rash guard. We arrived to Kalama Park a little early. Eddie explained everything to us out of the water first. Had us practice on our boards in the grass. Then we went into the water. I do not like open water activities but this was so fun! The water in the cove is shallow and the perfect beginning waves (for nervous people like me). Eddie helped get us balanced on the board and lined up with the waves. After a few pushes from Eddie, my kids were popping up and doing it on their own! My son was even doing a little jump trick! The entire time in the water Eddie would help get us in place, coach us, and cheer us on! He helped my kids paddle back out for a wave when they were getting tired from paddling. I'm so glad we had the individualized attention from him! We had so much fun we ended up going back 2 more times! Thank you Summer and Eddie for helping us create lasting memories in Maui!

Eddie was a great instructor. My daughter was nervous but he was very patient and fun. She was able to stand up and surf a couple times but then just wanted to ride on her stomach and watch sea turtles too. She didn't Think it would be fun but actually had a great time. We all did—and all got to practice surfing for the first time. Highly recommend!

Surf Yoga Maui is absolutely amazing. My two sons, who are 10 & 12 , and I decided to take our first surf lessons. I came across Surf Yoga Maui on a google search, and I’m so happy we did. They are a small family business. Summer, who I corresponded with, was readily available to get us going and to answer all our questions. Her husband, Eddie, was are instructor. He has been teaching surf lessons in Maui for 14 years. He was patient and encouraging. He gave great directions and always had our safety in mind. My boys got up within 2 tries. He even went out of his way to make sure a big guy like me, with poor flexibility, got up. It was a blast, and to see the smiles on my boys faces and the confidence they gained, made it all worthwhile.

Had three amazing days of lessons with Eddie, he is very knowable, so patient, and a lot of fun. This is the third time I have had lessons with Eddie, they are always great, and he always has something new to teach me. Oh and the video they create was awesome! They made it look like I knew what I was doing, I love it! I will always use Surf Yoga for my surf lessons. I also want to say working with Summer to schedule my lessons was wonderful, she is very professional and kept me completely up to date.

Booked private lesson for three. They were great! From the instructions before getting in the water to been there with us, patiently guiding us and assisting us in making sure we were doing things right and safe. As my wife said, "Very caring, they took excellent care of us". We actually surfed!!!! And the pictures were excellent. Recommended!

OUTSTANDING! Seriously, book with them because you won’t regret it. This lesson basically made our whole trip and the instructors were so insanely nice, helpful, and overall just wanted you to have a great time and enjoy it. Our instructor made sure that we were paid attention to and he helped us out even thought I was super uncomfortable surfing and sucked, he made me feel good and encouraged me the whole way. We ended up coming back and renting surf boards from them a few days later and the owner was so insanely nice and generous. Kind people and amazing service.

Lucas was a great instructor, the only part that sucked was the number of people surfing in the same spot. Of course that has nothing to do with the lesson, and the ocean is open to all, but it was a little annoying and scary surfing on top of people (literally). I would recommend this company and highly suggest surfing with Lucas! We will do it again for sure when we are back in Maui. Mahalo!

Had a great time with Eddie and really appreciated the honesty and lessons not only on surfing but the etiquette that goes along with it. I feel confident in low/negative tide surfing and that I can surf the area without feeling out of place or putting anyone in danger/harms way ! If your able, the 3 day progression is the way to go.

Wonderful time on the water. Eddy was an excellent instructor - he ensured that we had a super fun time surfing and kept us safe on the water. I also really appreciated the rash guard and longer shorts as they saved us from serious sunburn and chaffing. When they ask if you want the shorts, take them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Surf Yoga - they were fantastic!

We loved our surf lesson with Surf Yoga Maui. Eddie was extremely helpful and nice as was everyone working with him. He was great with our 6 year old son and had him surfing on his own by the second day. We hope to come back and take more lessons in the future!
